Their motto should be, "We will re-stir everything 37 times from when lunch ended and dinner starts." I was here at 5pm and nothing was fresh. Everything was dried out. Do yourself a favor and do not eat here. Stirring dried out old food does not make it look better AND IT DOESN'T add any moisture back onto it.

I had several issues with my visit to this place…read more The food selection was very limited. About half the items on the buffet table were either empty or looked like they'd been sitting there for hours and needed to be tossed. There were not many items left to choose from. The service was poor. It took several minutes to get seated even though there was no line, it took another few minutes for them to fill my drink order, and I was never offered a refill during my meal. The final surprise was that they charge extra for using a credit card with no advance warning. Once I knew about the charge, I told them I'd prefer to pay in cash, but gave up recognizing that it would take several minutes for them to figure out how to cancel the credit card transaction. They tried to claim the bank charged me directly, not wanting to admit that the bank charges the restaurant and that they are choosing to pass the charge along to me. Their whole attitude about the situation was off-putting. The food I was able to find at the buffet table was okay, but I will be looking elsewhere for a meal the next time I am in the area.

It was very goopy. The shrimp tasted nice, but the chicken was covered in an unidentified sauce. This was later identified as "almond gravy" - it was tasteless and simply added goop and sogginess to the chicken. The chicken itself was cooked well, as were the shrimp. The fried rice was fairly generic and required soy sauce. So, the meal was just fine. But, rather pricey for being fairly mediocre.

My husband and I have been to Marysville House quite a few times and it does not disappoint. The steak is made to perfection, mashed potatoes are wonderful and the veggies are delicious. This…read morewasn't my first time dining here, and I decided to come back because my first hibachi experience was so memorable. I started with one of my favorites, the gyoza, which was a great way to begin the meal. I also ordered a piña colada that was absolutely beautiful, but it was a little too strong for me. I'm not much of a drinker and prefer not to taste the alcohol, so I ended up sending it back. One thing I really appreciated was the service. When the hibachi host noticed I was having trouble managing my chopsticks, he brought me a different pair that was much easier for me to use. It was a small gesture, but those thoughtful details make a difference. Another fun touch was the robot that delivered our soup and salad to the table! For my hibachi meal, I had seafood with shrimp, scallops, vegetables, and fried rice. The food was delicious, and I loved watching everything being prepared right in front of us. My total was $41.45. Overall, another fun and memorable experience. I'll definitely be back!

One in the party had the pulled bison sliders, which were wow, wow. Pulled bison rather than bison patties is the way to go. The ambience is great. The service and food could've been better. I ordered the filet mignon and my wife ordered the duck breast. We both requested that our meal to be prepared at medium rare. They both arrived, medium. The flavors and presentation was great. Both proteins though were cooked longer than what we prefer. The glass of wine that I requested to be served with dinner arrived when I was more than halfway done with my meal. The overall experience we agree does not justify going back again. We were right across from the downstairs door (honestly not realizing there are two separate places inside) and on entering decided we didn't even need to look upstairs. We also don't care about sports, ever, so that always steers us to pick a quiet corner instead of big-screen central. The atmosphere is spacious, flowing, inviting, with a choice between brighter and darker seating spaces. It was not very busy, so not loud, but I can imagine it could get rowdy if it was full! The menu looked great, wanted to try so many things- but since we were just snacking and getting back on the road we decided on the meat and cheese board... one of the best we have ever had. And we've had more than a few, in many places, for many prices. This one (on their menu in late July), was $16- an excellent price point for the variety, quality, and quantity! I wrote it down, to make sure they know how awesome we think it was: smoked duck, wild boar sausage, spicy beef salami (that one being our least fave), with 4 mini blocks of cheddar- smoked, aged, onion, sage. Also a personal fresh mini baguette and some cute little toasted spicy pepitas were served alongside. Good lord. So yummy. If you want burgers and fries, go upstairs- you will be missing out. I would like to add that the whole staff seemed to enjoy their jobs, were very welcoming and smiling and cordial. Heather was our wonderful bartender/server, who made us feel right at home (even though Minneapolis is quite far away!).
