Seven of us came for a late lunch here in early March. This is a small place, so it's not good for large groups but we were able to pull the only two tables there together and sit together. There are a few booths. We all got something different and everyone was pleased with their meal. I was shocked at the kids spaghetti portion. It was huge....along with all the other food. We got a calzone, cheese pizza, another pizza, eggplant Parmesan, and I got lasagna and a salad. We all walked out with to go boxes. You walk up to the counter and order and they bring it to the table. No one checked on us but if we needed anything we went to the counter and asked. I will eat here again when I return. Horrible pizza served and sold during College Football Championship game on Jan 20, 2025. The pizza had been "sitting" for who knows how long. Should have been tossed and fresh pizza made. Of all nights, this should have been an EXPECTED high traffic evening at pizza shops across the country. Never going back to this shop...not even for a quick slice. Extremely disappointed. Do NOT order catering. We booked food for 43 people for a rehearsal dinner, to be delivered. We ordered from this restaurant because the groom had worked there in college and loved it. The order was not only originally late, part of it was missing, as well as having no serving utensils for salad and pasta. By the time the driver returned with the missing food, it was cold and gross. We had to scrounge our own serving utensils. When I tried calling that night, the person on the phone was incredibly rude and also clueless. No idea what time the driver left, or what he was driving. When I called a couple days later to speak with a manager, he informed me that since I had ordered through ezCatering, he couldn't offer me any sort of refund. He then confirmed that the only option for ordering catering was through the third part website since they are such a small operation. Leaving Brooklyn Pizza and Pasta completely Scott free from responsibility. Pro Tip- if you can't handle larger orders, don't offer catering. Also teach drivers how to be on time and double check their orders before driving off. read more

I got an Italian Grinder the other day, and so sad to see that the food is changing for the worse. It was pretty good the first couple of times I came here, but was barely edible the last time. I took one bite of the $10 sandwich and it was not chewable. The meat had so much fat, and it was not thin sliced as it should be for a sandwich. It was like trying to chew raw bacon. I took the capicola ham out of the sandwich, but then I was grossed out by the bread. The original bread was crispy like baguette, but then they switched to this dense, raw tasting, under baked bread. Whoever made this sandwich has no passion for food, and this is not "Brooklyn" style at all. I can't eat another sandwich from this place again, and I felt nauseous after the last attempt. They take over an hour to deliver. Each time you call they come up with some different excuse (backed up, just in its way) etc. I have liked going here previously but at this rate your better off going to Godfather or another place if business. I was curious about this place and suggested it for date night, and I'm so glad I did! The pizza is delicious. We tried the plain cheese slice to see if we would like it and ended up buying a whole pizza to take home because we enjoyed it so much. I love that the dining area has cheese, peppers, and seasoning you can add to your pizza. We also tried the cheesecake and it was one of the best I've had in a long time. Worst customer service ever. If I could post negative stars this would be a -5-Star review. Walked in, ordered a pizza. Was told it would be 15-20 minutes. After an hour passed, I went to the counter to get an ETA on my order. I was handed a box and was told it was in the oven - I should note that three groups of customers came in, ordered and were served in the same hour. The pizza wasn't what I ordered. I brought it back, and was told that because of shift change my order was lost. They offered to make a new pizza for me - if I would wait another 15-20 minutes. I asked for a refund of the order for the pizza and the 20% tip I left. I would rather slide under a gas truck and drink my own blood before going back to that crappy place. I can't even believe they charged me. Ordered two pizzas at 4:50 pm. At 6 pm I called to check on the status of the pizza they said would be delivered in 45-55 min. They said it would be another 30-45 minutes. When they delivered the pizza at 6:45, they had one of our two pizzas and it was cold. It's now 7 pm....more than two hours since we ordered...and the other pizza is MIA, the first pizza is reheating in the oven, and I'm out $60 + delivery fee plus the 22% tip we paid before we knew we would never see our food. Some great options, a very chill vibe and after it's all said and done, a very decent pie. I wanted this place to be good. It's location near Reeder's Alley and Blackfoot Brewery and some patio seating would have made it perfect. However, food was awful, wait was long, service was terrible and price was high. There wasn't a single thing to redeem this place. Our friends who were with us told us not to order a whole pizza because the wait would have been really long above and beyond the crazy long wait just to order by the slice. We tried to order some pizza by the slice from their display case but all they had was cheese pizza and it was cold, greasy and about as thick as two sheets of paper. You can't serve this in Brooklyn. Or anywhere in all of New York and look your customer in the eye. It's not absolutely terrible, but it's mediocre pizza at best. Bread tastes floury, the cheese passes the grease drip test but has zero character. The one pepperoni you get per slice tastes ok. Also they'll try to put two different slices of pizza, on top of eachother, in one to go box. Like a freak cheese and pepperoni sandwich. I've never seen or eaten anything like it. For good reason. $10 gets you two bland slices of your choice and a small drink. $10 at Little Ceasars gets you two whole pies. And it's decent. read more

I would have given it five stars but the croutons on my side salad were super burnt, like black kinda burnt, like no one should have been served those kinda burnt. I had the Rigatoni Bolognese and it was fabulous! I am a pasta snob and this was one of the best I have had. I don't know why people are griping about the prices, I thought the prices were cheap considering the large portions you get! The Bolognese could easily feed two with a salad and some bread sticks.
