Our waiter was helpful and I took his recommendation of the scallops/shrimp and prosciutto. Too much red onion for me (I guess I missed that in the description) but otherwise the scallops were cooked to perfection and the sauce was very tasty. Husband had the prosciutto with spinach angel hair pasta- too salty for him. I'd go back and try some other items on their varied menu! Oh and we got the carrot cake to go - TBD on that since we were too full to eat it.

I think it was a way to get folks to order drinks and appetizers. We opted for the Baked brie that came with crackers. It was ok but I woukd not order it again, nothing special. The crackers were dry. Once we got to our table, where the hostess carried our leftover brie, there was bread on the table and I finished the rest of the appetizer with the bread and that was better. It should be served with bread in my opinion. We shared the halibut that was served with rice and veggies and added a side of pasta with marinara sauce. The halibut was a bit dry as was the rice. If there had been more sauce on the fish, it and the rice would have been better. But it had a good taste and the veggies were excellent. We had good service in both the appetizer room and the main dinning area. It is a very nice atmosphere with upscale prices. We were full with our previous selections so did not have dessert.

I ordered a pistachio cream pie and it was the most incredible thing I ever ate! I wish I could have the other pies too! Why don't I have a super fast metabolism?!? Why?!? I wish I was more hungry when I walked in cause I really wanted to try their "Holy Cow" style meals but could only go with the standard serving size. I ended up going with the chicken sandwich. The chicken was fried perfectly on the outside and the inside was tender and had good flavor. The fries here were very good and I would've kept ordering more of those if I had any more room. The food here is really great. It feels like the best diner food imaginable in a setting that offers so much more. The restaurant reminded me of a bigger chain but with the hometown feel. Big but cozy and personable. Our server was great and always made sure our drinks were full the whole meal. I'll be sure to come back here the next time we visit Helena.

Once I saw it on the menu I had to get the GIGANTIC PRETZEL (GP). It was gigantic and it was a pretzel. Great crispy outside and soft warm perfectly cooked inside. Get it, you won't regret it. We all loved it and the queso and hot mustard were a great match. I had the wings, buffalo sauce, and it came with fries. Both were really good. So much food I only ate 4 wings and 1/2 the fries. GP still weighing heavy in my gullet! The Wife had the Classic Mac and Cheese - nice taste but Luke warm instead of hot. Should have sent back to warm up. Her choice. The Kid had the brisket sandwich and garlic parm fries. The sandwich was so big., she ate 1/2 and hardly touched her fries. The fries were delish, as I had to sample a couple for review purposes. The Friend had a Buffalo chicken salad and The Other Friend had enchiladas. Both enjoyed their meals and had leftovers as the servings are generous. Great Time. Great Food. Great Service. Go! Eat Very Well!! HAVE FUN!!!

He helped guide our choices without being pushy, and his recommendations were spot-on. For his birthday meal, my husband ordered a steak and I had the salmon--both were cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Other customers that perhaps were perceived as bigger paychecks were consistently served before me. At first I sat at the bar to make it easy for the servers. Unfortunately it was only me and I was abandoned after My drink came and no dinner menus came despite being asked and responding that yes, I need them. So, I took my drink and asked to be seated at a table. the table next to me had about 8 people seated after me, and again they were able to order drinks before my waitress came to me. So, looks matter in this restaurant - a lot! That is never a good sign. My waitress is probably in the wrong career as she was brusque and seemed put off at having to serve 1 person. Maybe she was cursed with being German as I am. The wedge salad I ordered was two small wedge pieces instead of the normal 1 large piece and was ok, but underwhelming in both the size and the amount of blue cheese which was a bit sparse. The 6 oz fillet seemed more like 4 and was ok - the baked potato noticeably smaller than most but loaded at least. The restaurant scene is Helena is pitiful, to be honest. Billings is the place in Montana to be for restaurants. Maybe Bozeman or Missoula but unfortunately, the capital is lacking. The martinis were decent but not as good as the windmill in billings.
