Korean BBQ Bowl
Justin S.

STOP HERE ASAP !! I was passing through Helena, and wanted to support a small local business & I am glad I did !! The lady at the counter was super friendly & def. didn't steer me wrong w/ my selections!! The Korean BBQ bowl was unbelievable !! So much flavor & the portion size was huge !! I also got the homemade chips w/ Bacon Onion Dip I loved everything about this small diner !! Give them a shot !!!

Wanted to try something different and was pleasantly surprised. The Nosh is a great lil place. Wonderful atmosphere, super friendly staff, clean and quaint surroundings. Enjoyed the jalapeño breakfast burrito....yum!

I stopped by here for some food not really knowing what to expect, as it was my first time! I came in pretty close to closing and ended up taking my order to go. I went with the Korean Beef Broccoli bowl, and it was DELICIOUS, really savory and flavorful (paired nicely with a sweet drink!) The lady who worked the counter was super sweet, and immediately stepped away from cleaning to assist me. She even complimented my name!! Great service, especially since it was pretty close to close. All in all, it was a really good experience. I'll definitely be back again!! (Especially since I really wanna try some more, like the Asian Pork bowl and the Fried Chicken sandwich )

Tasty homemade healthy choice. And soo friendly! The bowls were great. Avocado toast was delicious. Biscuit was fresh. Wish I'd had their potato chips that looked delicious. Everything on the menu looked like a winner. I would definitely return and recommend.

Avocado toast (no bacon onion jam) and Mediterranean Chickpea Salad (no rice). Deeeelucious!

Visiting from our of town and looked up places to eat brunch. I was not disappointed by selecting this little gem. The food and service was outstanding. It's more cafeteria style but they can make special requests. My dishes were so tasty. Literally, no complaints!

My wife and I just had a late lunch at this restaurant today. We both had the chicken teriyaki bowl, but they ran out of pineapple salsa so we just put some soy sauce on it. The portion was large and the quality of food was pretty darn good. The price point was spot on because of the quality and quantity of the food. My wife also got a piece of the banana bread, but that was fairly pedestrian and a bit dry. The staff was friendly, but it was mostly self-serve after you ordered. Take a look at the pics of the menu as well as what we had. I definitely recommend this place for someone that wants a good meal for lunch if you're in Helena, Montana!

Apple ricotta waffle

Amazing food! And great service! I got a chicken sandwich, my husband got a pork burrito and my daughter got the apple ricotta waffle. All were soooooo good. Would go back.

Burrito

At first I thought this place was some little diner that serves bacon eggs and hash browns only (and I love those places) but I was wrong. The menu had a bunch of super interesting stuff and it was quick and easy to order at the counter. I got the marinated pork bowl with peanut sauce and it was very good. The pork was delicious and the rice and kale were very hearty. Also got a black coffee that was good. It is kind of loud in there but the staff is very nice. Would recommend.

The best soup in Montana!

Discovered I don't like millet bread all that much but I won't let that stop me from giving this place five stars! The ambiance is very hip and trendy while still maintaining a cozy cafe feel. We sat down to look over the menu and we're immediately greeted and asked if we wanted some coffee. To order the main portion of food you walk up to the counter but that wasn't a problem. Mom got the bacon and egg toast and I got the salmon arugula sandwich. Mom's was the winner all elements worked together perfectly and the egg was cooked exactly to her liking! Give Noah Cafe a try if you want to support a good local place in downtown Helena MT!

Breakfast at Nosh Cafe with my DD
Raelene V.

Having already had breakfast at Steve's Cafe twice we decided to branch out and try some place new. DD chose Nosh and we were more than pleased with this decision. This is a small cozy space where you order at the counter. The menus are on clipboards so we grabbed one and sat down to peruse. Lots of choices for vegetarians and meat eaters. The waitress came over and asked if we wanted coffee. They serve cold brew and drip. My daughter decided on the salmon and arugula sandwich. It was served on millet bread which she didn't particularly care for but everything else was great. I chose the bacon and egg toast. This is served on a piece of thick sourdough covered with an herb cheese. I asked for a hard egg and it was cooked perfectly. We loved the cozy feel and family photos decorating the walls. Vintage aprons lined the hallway. Some might call this place "hipster" but I think it was just sweet with innovative food choices. Parking is in a lot just up the hill but it was a very easy walk. If your looking for a unique and tasty breakfast this is a great place!

Amazing, friendly customer service. The only difficulty is trying to decide what you want from the menu. So many good choices..

Wow--Steve's Cafe has always been my #1 pick for great food in Helena, but after my experience…read moretoday, I'm doubtful...My server, Dawn, left me alone for most of my visit; she served me with the bare minimum, & seemed unwilling or unable to answer the simplest menu questions about 2 items I hadn't tried before: The Cafe Monte Cristo is served on French Toast as a sandwich. She felt that was self-explanatory, so I took a chance & ordered it anyway. The second item I asked about was the Cafe Mocha, which is described as half coffee & half hot chocolate. Dawn repeated that to me; I went ahead & ordered it, because it's a nippy day outside, it sounded good, & Steve's prides itself on "whole bean Italian coffee". Dawn asked if I wanted whipped cream, & yes--that was the best part of this hot drink. It tasted like hot water with a bland chocolate flavor with no coffee flavor to be savored. Disappointment in a mug for $3.75. The Cafe Monte Cristo Sandwich looked promising when it arrived...but when I tasted it, the only thing which was flavorful was the bacon. The ham & turkey sliced deli meat was absolutely indistinguishable for any flavors of ham or turkey! ($14.95; scarcely any powdered sugar on the French Toast, either, which is a hallmark of a Monte Cristo...& no, it isn't deep-fried in any batter, but the French Toast is a clever substitution & departure from the original.) I ate half of it & boxed the other half...the French Toast was bland, too--very little flavor. My side item was something I always look forward to here, because so few restaurants serve onion rings anymore! These are a $2.00 up charge, & I told Dawn I like them on the light side, not too dark--& these came out close to being dark, & they must have sat in the grease, because they were tough on the outside...not the best onion rings by far. Disappointment again! I came here anticipating another great experience at Steve's Cafe, & it was completely disappointing until Alivia appeared: Alivia noticed I appeared to be waiting, & I was--because I saw on my check that the Cafe Mocha comes with ONE REFILL! Dawn never mentioned nor offered me a refill, but Alivia did--& yes, that's exactly how to spell her name, which is pronounced as "Olivia". Alivia gave me a to-go cup with a lid, & whipping cream & all, that excellent but of genuine "Customer Service" kept this review from being one star! Purely because of Alivia, I will return to Steve's Cafe the next time I'm in Helena, a 100+ miles from home! Thank you, Alivia, for saving the day for me: The next time, I'm asking for you as my server!

Once I saw it on the menu I had to get the GIGANTIC PRETZEL (GP). It was gigantic and it was a pretzel. Great crispy outside and soft warm perfectly cooked inside. Get it, you won't regret it. We all loved it and the queso and hot mustard were a great match. I had the wings, buffalo sauce, and it came with fries. Both were really good. So much food I only ate 4 wings and 1/2 the fries. GP still weighing heavy in my gullet! The Wife had the Classic Mac and Cheese - nice taste but Luke warm instead of hot. Should have sent back to warm up. Her choice. The Kid had the brisket sandwich and garlic parm fries. The sandwich was so big., she ate 1/2 and hardly touched her fries. The fries were delish, as I had to sample a couple for review purposes. The Friend had a Buffalo chicken salad and The Other Friend had enchiladas. Both enjoyed their meals and had leftovers as the servings are generous. Great Time. Great Food. Great Service. Go! Pretty darn good…read more I'll caveat this with my coworker had some issues with his order, but they corrected it promptly so great service! The food comes out super fast, and it's as I mentioned pretty darn good I cannot complain! The po boy I got was tasty, and just enough food to keep me happy for the afternoon. This spot definitely rocks for lunch with it's speedy service and laid back atmosphere. The food itself, as I said it comes out fast! Like, questionably so but it wasn't bad so I can't complain haha. The one thing I didn't love is the cheese in my Po Boy got stuck to the wrapper it came out in so I lost a lot of cheese to the paper. Let's chat about ambiance fast, it's an interesting atmosphere very american but also very New Orleans at the same time. I like it but the walls are a smattering of different themes and ideas which makes for a somewhat incoherent atmosphere. Still, the music was at a good volume for conversation and for work. So yeah I'm happy!

I've had a few of their sandwiches now. The, "all that jazz" is fuego. What's the stuff that's mayonnaise, but not really? Ummm.... You know what I'm talking about it. AIOLI! They make a couple of in house aioli's that go in the sandwiches, and the one on the, "all that jazz" is bomb. They do a dill aioli as well, and it's worth trying. Anyway, Cajun Santa.
