I found Nosh on Yelp as I don't live in the area. I was able to park around the corner for free on the weekend. As I entered it seemed like a hipster place. You order at the counter and sit down to have it brought to you. Not my ideal of breakfast when I go out but I stayed due to the yelp reviews...also for a coffee refill I had to go back to the counter which I would prefer to have brought to me but the coffee tasted fine...when I asked about creme I was directed to a counter away from where I sat down... The woman working the counter was pleasant. I ordered the chicken and waffles which I have never had before but saw it on Yelp. Overall I thought the food was decent but hard to cut the chicken and bacon with the butter knife provided. The portion was large and it came out in a reasonable amount of time...Like I said the food was decent but when I go out for breakfast I prefer a full service place. If you don't mind ordering at the counter and getting up for coffee this place should be for you. read more

Despite the fact that this place drips hipster, my wife managed to drag me in here for sandwiches. The small, locally owned facility manages to make a damn good sandwich, and has earned a second visit in the future. Unusual and fresh ingredient combinations rendered very tasty offerings, and if my sandwich had been on fresh bread instead of stale slices, it would have been a four star rating. I'll never understand why a business would risk customer satisfaction to save a few cents on stale bread. read more

Ate here just yesterday morning and absolutely loved it! Daughter lives in Helena and she recommended eating here as her Dad was craving waffles and they did not disappoint. We each had something different (Apple Ricotta, BLT and the Classic) and they were all delicious. Really friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. We were in town for a wedding and came here for Saturday brunch. I think this place deserves 3 stars but I'm giving it 4 for Helena standards of food compared to a larger city. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. The staff was nice and coffee was yummy. We got the sausage and egg sandwich which was really good flavors. The only complaint is that you couldn't pick it up and eat it it fell apart so had to fork and knife it. Disappointments were the pork and apple sandwich was served cold which was weird for pulled pork. The pork lacked flavor and they definitely keep their bread in the fridge which dried it out and made the sandwich also crumbly/falling apart when trying to eat. The yogurt and granola was also a disappointment. At a brunch place I'd expect a step up in the yogurt which tasted like plain Dannon and the granola was clearly boxed with old dried raisins in it- you can find better products at your own local grocer so I would skip that all together. They're trying for something different which is nice! But not quite a home run. read more

We had been meaning to try Nosh Cafe as we surveyed the menu one night after eating across the street at Benny's Bistro. Nosh Cafe was a lunchtime winner! As vegetarian/vegans in a town that eats lots of beef, we couldn't be happier. A yummy homemade veggie burger, super filling veggie bowl and far-out chips with dip - all hit the mark! This is a place which can be skipped. We were the only ones in the place. We ordered chicken and waffles, egg in a hole and chips with sweet potato hummus. The chicken was burnt like they had heated it up in a microwave, the arugula on the egg in a hole was actually mushy ( and when we asked the server she said that her manager had served it earlier like that so she thought it was all right, she then came back and said that this was the best she could pick out of what was wilted in the package), and they didn't have the sweet potato hummus (just regular). It would have gotten 5 stars if it wasn't for the overwhelming smoky smell in the store. This cafe is conveniently located in the downtown area. It's a smaller, somewhat quaint cafe that you wouldn't want to bring a big group to. I had the Classic waffle and my partner had the egg,sausage and avocado waffle...Both were extremely tasty and very filling! My partner stated that the coffee tasted a bit burnt but other than that we had a great experience. Awesome service too! read more

Have been here twice once with a table of five and the other a table of three. In both cases we all ordered the chicken and waffles. I really want to love this place; however, we have had problems both times. Each time we are brought out plates one to two at a time, even though we ordered together. So one waits and watches everyone eat while they wait for their food. The other issue we have had both times is pink chicken. The first time we had pink chicken and then raw chicken on our last plate brought out. The bacon is often over cooked too. For the price, you receive one pink chicken strip, some over cooked bacon and a delicious waffle. The waffle and syrup save this dish. Tasty batter, that is nice and fluffy. Our other complaint is the chip appetizer. They are bland and, both times we had them, over cooked. read more

Today was my first time eating here. I enjoyed the chicken pesto sandwich, only it was pork, because they ran out of chicken. No problem, I like pork too. After a few bites, I discovered a hair in my sandwich.... It wasn't mine, wrong color. I took my plate up to the counter and it was immediately remedied with a new sandwich. All I wanted was a new sandwich. In addition to that, I was given a full refund, including for my friend's lunch. This impressed me very much, so added another tip to the jar. The only reason for the four stars, instead of five, is because it was very cold in there and in spite of the long sleeved shirt and sweater I was wearing, I had to put my jacket back on. This is the actual restaurant for the Waffle Wagon food truck. I hadn't tried the food truck, so decided to try the restaurant. It was alright, but nothing amazing. It's definitely non-traditional and really kind of weird. Not sure I'll be back unless they add some additional choices to the menu. On a side note, it was a good waffle. read more

They said they were open for dine in service but half the tables had stools placed on top of them and it seemed kinda dirty in the table area.
