The food is solid, my crab stuffed mushrooms were amazing, key lime pie like Grandma used to make (clearly not bought). My steak made to order with the "fancy butter" was delicious. This is another place where I feel like people sometimes have unrealistic expectations. It's a supperclub it's not Carnevor or Keen's. Are the steaks good? Absolutely. Is it going to be the best piece of meat you've ever eaten? Maybe. Depends where else you've eaten and how much of a home chef you are. Be real about your expectations. Speaking of expectations our server Shannon exceeds all expectations. My girlfriend and I both said we couldn't remember the last time we had a server that good. Personable, helpful, funny and efficient. The only typical supperclub thing that was missing is that classic ringleader larger than life bartender but the bar staff was young and capable so they may just grow into it. It's my understanding this supper club has been here for generations, with newer owners who built a fresh building on the site. In our opinion, the venue is spectacular with a great view over the lake, and is designed with something like "stadium seating" so that even tables in the back of the restaurant get a view. There's also a great outdoor area with water access so boaters can dock and walk up to the restaurant. We found the staff to be friendly with efficient service. Unfortunately, the food was just OK. I had their cream of mushroom soup, and was more like hot mushroom water. It had to have been the thinist cream soup I've had in my life. My wife generally loves "supper club" ribs, but found their's lacking in taste. To be fair, our drinks, cheese curd appetizer, and my prime rib were good, but overall food was about average. I'm glad we gave Village a chance, but will try other supper clubs in the area before returning.
