It's pretty good I never had a all you can eat pizza buffet. I would really compare it to other pizza places but for the price and to fill up on all you can eat it's pretty good. read more

Thank you yelp for suggesting the word Meh. That's a great way to describe the Pizza Ranch. The pizza's are bland and don't have much flavor. Though it is a nice touch that they will make a specialty pizza for your table. The Buffalo chicken is alright as is the Chicken Alfredo pizza when they have it. The breadsticks and the "cactus bread" dessert Pizza is the saving grace, It's nice they have fried chicken and mashed potatos as those are pretty good. read more

I love Pizza Ranch! OMG the fried chicken is delicious! Better than KFC 100%. It's so crispy and well seasoned. This visit, the fresh fried chicken was flowing; you didn't have to wait, the chicken was kept "well stocked," and it was fantastic! The pizza too was delicious and constantly being rotated with a fresh variety of pizzas to try. The salad bar is slightly limited, but in all honesty, if I'm eating at Pizza Ranch, I'm not going for the salad. When we first walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly cashier, which set everything in the right direction. The busboy was on top of constantly clearing dirty plates. He appeared to be the only buser this evening, and the restaurant was pretty busy, so we tipped him a couple of bucks, which he seemed very appreciative of (please tip your buser, as they are running around like crazy making sure you have a clean dining experience). The restaurant was clean, the atmosphere was friendly, and the meal was excellent. The value for quality of food is outstanding. We had to drive 25 min to get here, and we overheard some fellow diners say they came up from Illinois because their closest Pizza Ranch closed early, and this one was the next closest. That's how good the food is; it's worth the drive. Apparently this location is under new management, and if so, they are doing a great job. read more

I was a little worried before coming because of the reviews saying there was no food/slow refills but everything was hot and fresh. Great experience! read more

This may be the best pizza buffet I've had. Right away when we paid to begin the festivities, the cashier asked whether we wanted any custom pizzas made, and walked us through some of the choices. We requested two, a vegetarian pizza and roma spinach pie. He told us the person who requested the custom round would get as much as they want from it at the table, and then what's left is added to the buffet. Those pizzas did take about 15-20 minutes before they were ready. Before then I had one slice of cheese, that was quite good, and one slice of taco, and one piece of cheese breadstick that was quite garlicky and very tasty! I also had a small salad, some of the home-made potato chips that were also great, and some more of the chips and cheese bread sticks. Also be sure to try the "cactus" desert pizza, which is outstanding. It's basically crunchy cinnamon and is so popular it caused a line of people to gather, and one lady with several pieces to say "these are for my children and grandchildren - really!" I also appreciate the wide range of soda and tea choices, and even coffee if people wanted that. Altogether, the options are extensive, and almost everything I had was top notch. The one exception was the salad bar. I like that they don't have the cheap, low-quality iceberg lettuce. The salad with mandarin oranges in it was good, and to that I added half-grape tomatoes and peas and bacon bits and a few other things, I think. I had lime vinaigrette, and it was a little sour, which may be obvious. I didn't care for it much. I did not see the standard (for me) ranch dressing. I think if I had ranch dressing and if they had sunflower seeds, which I didn't see, I would have enjoyed the salad bar, too. It was OK. Just not, for me, outstanding, as everything else was. Love this place! read more

I had a gift card for Pizza Ranch, so I decided to share it with my mother, and we bought chicken from the Elkhorn location. A few days before that, I stopped in to get a take-out menu. The prices were totally wrong. We were charged quite a lot more for our order than what the menu said. The menu said $7.99 and we were charged $9.99. If the prices were not correct they should tell people that when they pick up a menu. I don't mind paying $10 for good food, and the chicken itself was good. However, the amount of coleslaw you get is about 4 bites for a woman, probably 2 bites (if even) for men, the biscuits were way over cooked, they were very dark and pretty crunchy. We both ordered a 2 piece chicken dinner, and I got a pretty good sized breast and a tiny wing, so technically my dinner was a 1 piece. I actually took a picture of it because I couldn't believe it, as well as a picture of the dark biscuit. It was our first time eating there, and we've decided it's out last. We'll go to KFC for chicken next time. read more

A good place to go for all you can eat buffet dining. Good pizza selection and fried chicken.

This is probably the one of the worst experience at a buffet that I've ever had. There was only one employee visible there was tons of leftover food on the ground by the tables and by the buffet area. Lastly to mention that there was hardly no food on the buffet table. I really wish the management could get their hands on this could be a successful place. #It'sAllAboutTheCustomerExperience read more

Great sauce and well cooked. 1st time visiting this spot and when back in this area will be back! Subtracted one start because a couple bites of my Trailblazer Pizza had a sweet taste to it read more

The food was good, replaced often, with fresh ingredients in the salad bar. Really nice staff, too, who personally visited our table to make sure we were having a nice meal and to let us know when they had replaced the desserts. read more

Pizza was meh and in the ice cream there was bacon bits and the floors were very dirty.

We were there for over six hours for a birthday party so I observed a lot. First off, the room we rented was so dirty. We had to wipe down all the tables and chairs ourselves. There was also a lot of leftover food on the floor. The customer service was not good at all, not even from the manager. The food was alright but nothing spectacular. The only thing I did like was that they had Christian music playing. read more

When we arrived there were several open tables but they were all filled with piles of dirty dishes. Once we finally got a table we found the buffet had no chicken, pizza, ice cream, soup and many other things. I can't believe we paid for the privilege of eating nothing. read more

Good food and great service. Too bad they have problems keeping the buffet stocked with food

This is definitely one of the best pizza buffets I've ever had. I've never done the custom pizzas, but my coworkers have (agree with the other reviews, 15-20 minutes to get it but then you get first dibbs on the pizza). I usually get the cheese pizza or preferably just the cheesy breadsticks (super good!). Finish it off with the cactus dessert pizza or the blueberry/cherry(or is it strawberry) dessert pizza. The blueberry and cherry are awesome. read more

my first time to order from here ,so ordered a taco pizza for lunch, my co worker went to get it for us. she arrived to pick it up and there credit card machine was down. was rude telling her she would have to go to the bank to get cash and he was not giving her the pizza until. rude rude service. one it was not our fault you inconvenienced us. word to mouth will only hurt your business more. looks like your a one star rated place. so no worries we will our whole clinic not order from you again. read more

I am a stickler when it comes to Pizza buffets- I like my pizza fresh and I like to request weird toppings on my pizzas. Pizza Ranch delivers on both of those! I love how they bring you your requested pizza and give you however much you want. The cheesy breadsticks are also phenomenal (and by phenomenal I mean greasy goodness). If you love dessert pizza, I STRONGLY recommend the cactus bread- I prefer the cherry or blueberry with a little soft-serve on top. It melts over the warm cactus bread and is awesome! It's a 45 minute drive to this Pizza ranch for me and I go because I crave it so much on a regular basis. That's how good it is! read more

This a good buffet place, if your looking for good chicken then this is the best in town.

Everytime I go I'm pretty disappointed with the food. They have some great staff members and some terrible staff members. I wish they had someone patrolling the buffet. Sometimes I feel like I'm the buffet police, but last week I saw an old man do some gross stuff so I felt very limited. I like the unlimited refills of hi-c fruit punch! Yum read more

Price is terrific. Family friendly. Fresh, hot food on the buffet. Cactus bread for dessert is fabulous. But, the broasted chicken is the best - juicy and delicious. They keep the food area clean and neat as well, and the staff is friendly and accomodating. read more

Bounced in after hiking 5 miles in the kettle moraine and it really exceeded our expectations. Kids were hungry and really liked the pizza. Salad bar was pretty good. Chicken was tasty, especially the hot wing style. Good clean fresh buffet fare. Even the Mac n cheese wasn't heat lamp dried n scary. Plus the batter fried cod Was tasty! The staff was friendly and hustled those used plates nicely. On our shortlist when we are in that area again. read more

This will sound crazy - I love the Pizza Ranch but I don't eat pizza - I love the salad and soup bar and really love the chicken, broasted potatoes, homemade chips and mashed potatoes and gravy. Including all you can drink beverages and soft serve ice cream, there's no better bargain in the county. Ten bucks at dinner including tax gets you all you can eat including the salad and soup bar, pizza, chicken, beverages and soft-serve ice cream. Did I mention the chicken was good?! read more

Horribly disappointing. I ordered $170.00 worth of food online for carry out for the nursing home I work at for lunch for the residents. I arrived a few minutes before my pick up time, and initially they told me it would be a few minutes, that our food wasn't quite done. I understood. I then proceeded to wait for the next HOUR!!!!! That's right an hour! And the food came out piece by piece, not all at once. Needless to say most of he residents food was cold and lunch was over by the time I returned back to the facility. I asked numerous times to speak to the manager who refused to come out, and hid in the back. I filed a complaint with corporate to which I still have not received a response a week later. This was a place that as a facility we used frequently. Not anymore. The lack of communication, or ability to apologize is unacceptable. read more

2nd time here and of course no chicken both times, said they r making more but it's fukn lunch time u would think hmmm lunch rush let me have plenty of chicken but nope not here, bunch of idiots working here. Used to be good service now they don't even come and get your plates, no white meat all dark and tons of wings, yuck but I won't be back for a long time read more

Good pizza here. Every time I go here we get delicious mac and cheese pizza as an order to us. Nothing is ever a disappointment.

My kids love Pizza Ranch. I like it. They have a good salad bar. I really love their chicken and the mashed potatoes. The cactus bread is so delicious. read more

HORRIBLE experience. I will NOT go here again ever. I have been to two Pizza Ranch locations so far (Elkhorn, WI and Roscoe,IL). I had a terrible experience at both. Difficult to decide which is worse. Give your business to Cici's Pizza ($6 buffet with outstandingly tasty food, courteous service, and buffet kept full at all times, excellent salad bar included in buffet). Also they open and close when they say they do. read more

i tried ordering lunch from here while I was in line at the grocery store next door. I sat on hold for 8-1/2 minutes then hung up and called again. The same girl answered again and said please hold. This place needs some better management and/or employees. Until then, No Thanks!!! read more

Terrible service. None of the food items were stocked up. If it's a buffet, where's all the food?

My fam has been going to Pizza Ranch, always loved it! Their cactus bread is to die for and we love the atmosphere, especially since we have a big family! Will definitely recommend! read more

I enjoy the food and most of the time the plates are not sitting to long. The reason why is Pizza Ranch does not get a 5 Star is due to the buffets being too expensive for children, there seems to be a lack of food prepared for the buffets and there should be very special deals like free meals or half prices for Father's of Mother's Day. read more

Pretty tacky that you're open until 10 pm but your buffet closes at 8. We arrived at 8:20 pm after driving half an hour. Not cool at all!!

Ate here when it first opened not too bad. This time was horrible. had to ask them to clean some tables just so we could sit. No silverware no napkins no service no ice cream. whole place was dirty No toilet paper no paper towels and the soap dispenser didn't work so how many cook didn't wash. last time I will eat there. read more

I visit my in-laws and this Pizza Ranch is next to the hotel I usually stay at. I usually go to a Pizza Ranch just for the pizza (and mashed potatoes) so I can't comment on the chicken. On my last visit, none of the pizza seem fresh. The cheese was hard like it had been sitting around for a while after baking. The temperature was lukewarm at best. We went at 7pm on a Saturday. The place was packed, which is usually good at most buffets as the food goes faster and gets replaced more often. It still was lukewarm pizza. The seating accommodations were lacking (not just because it was busy). We had 5 people and an infant and couldn't find a table. Most of the tables only sit 4 people and they are packed in so it felt tight. We got lucky and met someone a person in my party knew. He offered his table and we were able to slide it next to another (hard to do in a cramped floorspace). Overall it was okay, but I would return mostly because of the convenience rather than the quality. read more

Fun buffet in a great location. Nice staff and tasty chicken. Eager to please. Try the buffalo chicken pizza!

It's a buffet. Is there such a thing as a five star buffet? Just give me a good, hot, fresh pizza. I don't want it sitting there for 20- 30 minutes before i get a piece. Buffets will very rarely get above one star, that's what it is. read more

Ice box floors dirty did I say ice box I had to leave my family too cold sitting out in car to warm up. Saturday night confused when servers came to our table after a refilling salad bar were we done with salad bar. Why would one ask that after filling it up. Plus we were three families and another man was shaking cause he was too cold. Then that family ran to their SUV to start it I mean ran. Not certain but this is not how we do this in Roscoe. Nope not up to standard. Oh did I forget never got our special pizza. I told my family let them know why I left. I just asked for veggies pizza. Plus the eggs for salad were ice cubes. Get the idea. read more

Buffet lines are dirty----apparently no one has the job of cleaning up for the people who overstack their plates with food---especially salad dressing. I know that Wisconsin is renowned for obesity, but this place must be the mecca for overweight people. I liked the chicken, but the pizza was obviously not really made on site... frozen dough? Won't be returning. read more
