I can't speak for a dine in experience, but takeout was atrocious. We placed an order through their website at 7:00 (they close at 9:00) and it said it would be 45 minutes. After placing the order we received an email that it would be ready by 11:00 am the next morning. We called to confirm it was going to be delivered tonight and was told the manager would call back to confirm. They never did. We called again a little bit later and asked if the order was confirmed and was rushed through the conversation and hung up on. Our food that should have arrived around 8:00 was finally delivered at 8:45. As mad as we were and wanted to be, the food itself was quite tasty. A few years ago, we used to order take out about once a month. Since we live only about four blocks away we would just pick it up. It was always ready when they said it would be. I usually ordered shrimp fried rice, egg drop soup and crab Rangoon. The fried rice and egg drop soup were delicious, with a good amount of shrimp. They was then. Now, they're much more skimpy on the shrimp, both the amount and size. The egg drop soup is still delicious. The crab Rangoon have NO crab AT ALL. Not even the fake stuff. I'm ready to cry because we always for years used to get chinese food from Moy's in Elkhorn. They changed hands and unfortunately the food changed and went down hill, especially the egg rolls. We switched to Golden Dragon and the last few times we ordered it was pretty good. We just got our meals delivered tonight and we are so disappointed. The pressed duck was different from previous times. NOT as good at all. Not crisp.. taste is different, not good. The fried chicken in gravy was very mushy almost inedible. June 25, 2020: The new chef is excellent. Their Moo shu pork was absolutely outstanding! Pork fried excellent. The Broccoli shrimp? Superb with great shrimp. I read the previous review about their burgers. My guilty pleasure at Golden Dragon has always been their Mushroom Cheeseburger. (I know: seriously? But sometimes when everyone has to have Chinese and ...). Golden Dragon's Mushroom Cheeseburger is the best burger (hands down) within 10 miles of here... (think Sobelmans in Milwaukee). Final tip: healthy? After making fun of my secretaries for eating vegetable Lo Mein for lunch ... I learned. It is ALWAYS a delicious low cal meal there. I haven't tried their spicy dishes, but my friends smile when their faces sweat so ... go figure. read more

I'm afraid I cannot comment on the food since we never received our delivery. What I can comment on is the delivery (or lack there of). After 90 minutes we called the restaurant to find out if something had gone wrong. We were informed that it was going to be another hour before the delivery guy was back in our neighborhood. No apologies... until I lost my temper (which I regret). Since it was already 30 minutes past my kids' bed time we cancelled the order. Perhaps they would have done better if we called our order in, instead of placing it online. They indicated that their third party online partner "does not know how busy we are". We've given this place a shot 3 times, and 3 strikes and you're out! From now on, no matter how tired I am, I'm doing the drive to chens in Mukwonago. Tonight we ordered sweet and sour shrimp, sweet and sour chicken, crab rangoons, and a couple other entrees. We upgraded 2 of the entrees from white rice to pan fried noodles! Omg, the pan fried noodles were basically ramen dropped into the deep fryer and fried to a nasty crisp. Not even edible. Six dollars wasted on that upgrade. If I could give less than one star I would. Worst service ever. I ordered delivery and it took 2 hours. After calling the restaurant multiple times, they kept telling me it was on its way. 40 minutes after I called, I called again, manager answered this time and he said it would get there. They assurred me it was under a heat lamp and it was "warm". I got a lot of grief when I said I wanted to cancel my order. Food finally arrived, cold; definitely not warm in the least. Ordered for delivery at 4 pm- was told delivery about 5:02. Called around 5:23 and was told it was on its way at 545 we called again and without even looking it up we were told it was on its way. Recently moved East Troy, not impressed with the local chinese place; egg rolls were the same ones I buy frozen from the grocery store, szechan shrimp was all batter, fried rice was just white rice with soy sauce... I would tell you about the egg drop soup but I did not receive what I ordered... My husband and I work in other cities nearby, we will be bringing home Chinese food from there from now on. I ate here for the first time over the weekend, was the worst Chinese I've ever had. I got the general tao lunch special w/ chix friend rice.. The rice was sticky and nasty the meal also came with an eggroll that I took 1 bite out of. I also ordered crab rangoons.. Only ate 1 of those as well. Later on I got EXTREMELY sick! I called the next day to explain and the woman screamed at me to get an attorney and she wanted all my medical records before she would even think about reimbursement.. Food was pricey and Living in Eagle they charged $10 for delivery. That is a dollar a mile. If the food was great I wouldn't care but it wasn't. I had general Taos chicken and chicken fried rice 3.00 extra for pan fried noodles my mistake because I thought they were noodles not hard dried noodles. Bill was $37.28 which included tip. They said delivery would be by 5:07 and they arrived about 20 after 5 which isn't bad. I have never had fried rice were it was brown didn't have much of any taste to it. I visited this place on a business trip recently and was very disappointed. First impressions say a lot. My first impression was the greeting by the "waiter" who - despite our mid-winter arrival - looked like he had just arrived from his lawn mowing job. Dirty t-shirt, strong tobacco stench. A look that did not reassure us that our food would be handled in a sanitary fashion. And that was just the beginning. I settled on the Sweet and Sour Shrimp ($11.25) with a Crab Rangoon ($6.50) appetizer. As the server took my menu, he dragged the end of his pen across my shirt leaving a line about an inch and a half long. Strike two. At this point I was thinking maybe I should just leave and cut my losses. But we stayed. Soon the Crab Rangoon arrived. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a nice color, crispy, and generous. But inside there was only cream cheese. No crab, no faux-crab. Had it been named "cheese wonton" and had it been priced to reflect the actual contents I would have been thrilled. But as Crab Rangoon it was a "fail". On to the Shrimp. The plate was brimming and they looked lovely. The sauce was delicious and was not just the orange goop many Chinese restaurants serve The rice was tired but serviceable.. But cutting into the first of my "shrimp" I once again found no seafood. Zero. So I tried another: again, no shrimp. In the third I found a tiny salad shrimp hiding in one corner. The rest of the plate was similar, with some having one or a few tiny shimp, but most having none. I wondered how many plates of sweet and sour donuts they could sell at $11.25. We did not call the multiple omissions of the seafood to the server's attention, fearing additional ink stains and nicotine poisoning if he lingered at the table. We could hear him on the other side of the room swearing boldly as he went about his tasks. When the bill arrived, the crab rangoon had been crossed off (presumably because of the shirt destroyed??) but my shrimpless donuts were priced at $13.15. I asked to see a menu. The server brought a menu over but never managed to actually hand it to me. He scurried off to adjust the bill. When he returned, he had taken something less than the $1.90 we were overcharged off. We did not press the matter but promptly relocated to another restaurant for desert. We won't be back. read more

Not only was the rice sticky, the tea was cold. We ordered the special sweet sour chicken, pork and shrimp. The chicken, shrimp and pork were buried in breading and on a cold plate. The sweet sour sauce was in a bowl on the cold plate. We had to ask for a spoon to put the sauce on the rice. The containers of sweet and sour and hot mustard were not very clean. We were very disappointed because we like to patronize local businesses, but will not recommend this place to any of our neighbors or friends and we will never go back for another meal. read more
