I usually eat the lunch or dinner buffet then order takeout for later meals. I go at different times, but the buffet is always restocked in small batches giving you fresh items. Buffet items are made with care, placing it above other buffets within an hour drive. I crave their three soups. The takeout is often busy. I try different items because whatever I get is very tasty and high quality. It's no problem customizing any item, and I appreciate that! read more

Chen's is good! I have never been for the buffet we always get take out. The lo mein noodles are flavorful and not too sodium rich which can be hard. The crab Rangoons are good and I like that they give you plenty of sauce. Always quick service even when busy. It is a favorite of ours for some comforting Chinese food. read more

Have never been disappointed at this restaurant. Always a great and grand selection of oriental food. Hot and appealing. The staff keeps the buffet full and fresh. You are never eating off the bottom of the pan. Very clean and great service. If you are in the area you need to stop read more

Chinese food made fresh daily! The food was all homemade and hot. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Priceswas surprisingly decent! Restaurant was very clean as well as the bathrooms. Decor was nice. Parking is adequate Best Chinese restaurant around! read more

Ordered takeout yesterday and realized when picking up how busy they were, but was really disappointed in the quality and taste of the meal. We've ordered from here before and it has always been decent but yesterday was pretty bad. The crab Rangoon was very over cooked and had next to no filling; pretty sure one had zero filling. The rice is not true fried rice; it's yellow rice with some peas, carrots, and onions and has zero flavor. My chicken was over cooked and my husbands dish had zero spice. Unfortunately I don't think we will eat here again. read more

Never change up the selection most items are very over cooked not crispy vegetables. But they definitely keep the buffet filled. I eat here more out of convenience when we are running late but never for when we have time for other places sad. They do a good business so this must just be my opinion. read more

Food: the food in the buffet is cooked fresh. Looks like they replace right away, they don't wait until all of it is eaten like some Chinese buffet do. Good array of food, they all tasted great, but it's a small restaurant. Service: they are on top of the plates, came by to collect empties fast. Didn't interact much but they were nice, they were concentrated in cleaning and replenishing so I didn't mind. Ambiance: nice and clean, bathroom is clean as well. Over all the place was clean organized. Everything was tasty and priced justly. Will definitely come back. Also they have self serve ice cream! Creamy, not icy. If you know you know. read more

Busy, restaurant offering in house buffet dining or orders to go. Our to go order is delicious. Crab Rangoon, boneless ribs, Hunan beef, beef fried rice and sweet and sour soup. Generous amounts of beef in the Hunan beef and fried rice. Very tasty. Delicious crab Rangoon and pot stickers.j read more

One the best Chinese buffets in area. Something for everyone and rather inexpensive. Kids have decided it is our go to for Chinese buffets

Wondering if they have new owners? It just was not as good. Staff was very friendly, but the food looked the same but did not taste the same. It was a Friday night at 5:30 and hardly anyone there. It seemed odd. We took friends and were very disappointed. read more

DO NOT ORDER!! Out of the 5 things ordered only one dish was fit for consumption. The sesame chicken lacks any kind of spice although having a pepper next to it, not to mention it was overcooked and dry. Rice was basically made in a bucket. The fried wonton tasted as if it was left in the fryer overnight. Each overdone dish was ATLEAST 12.50. Id rather eat at golden corral, which is a problem. Go to panda express, its cheaper and tastes better. read more

Great food and service! Food was exactly what I wanted- sweet and sour chicken will order again

Amazing fresh food. Amazing dine in, takeout, and super fresh all day and night buffet. Amazing staff and service. Wow!

Great food great time fair price family friendly restaurant with ample seating bountiful Asian Buffet

Amazing food & variety! Always restocking the buffet. Great value for the food, but not great at making GF options known or available.

My son and I love this place. He loves the noodles and chicken on the stick and egg drop soup. I love the seafood choices snd many other options. Food is hot and fresh. read more

Great buffet for the price but waitress last night was beyond rude. Instead of bringing us a fresh glass of soda she would fill a cup at the machine and proceed to pour into our glasses at the table. Then when it was time to pay the bill she brought it to us and stood there waiting for me to pull cash or card out. I was still working on eating while this was going on so she left. Once I was ready she took my card and rang it up and brought receipt back and stood and waited again and then proceed to point on receipt where I should sign. Had no problem grabbing the cash off the table for tip but had I realized this and the rudeness I experienced that tip would have been considerably less. Next time hopefully it will be better service otherwise tip will reflect it. Don't rush the customer read more

This place should be shut down. Anyone that has given this establishment 4-5 stars has the lowest standards imaginable. The food was slopped in pans with vegetables steamed beyond recognition. Every meat was deeply fried and disguised in thick sweet sauces to hide the terrible quality ingredients. I will never go near here again and I will make sure anyone I know is aware of what is in store. You have been warned!! read more

As a point of reference I attempted the call my order in process tonight, same results. Arrived at the later end of the estimated time for pickup, still had to wait an additional 25 minutes, if the food wasn't the best Chinese around, I would move on. read more

If I could give it a no star I would This was the worst Asian food I have ever had. The plates were dirty. The spoons were sitting in the food. Everything was deep fried in grease and covered in sickening sweet sauce. I honestly feel like I could throw up after eating. Will never go back. read more

I used to crave Chens but the last 2x I have been there I have been disappointed. The taste and quality has really gone down! Some of the food on buffet was over cooked and dry and some food was barely warm. I really liked their fried rice in the past however I don't know what they do differently because it did not taste good to me. It also has a wierd orange color to it. A few choices were good like the wonton soup and the crab racoon. The restaurant itself really needs some cleaning and updating. A wall hanging was literally crumbled and falling off the wall. The booths are uncomfortable and the walls need fresh paint. The waitress was not friendly either. Sorry Chens I won't be returning. read more

My husband and I ordered takeout from this establishment over the weekend. Within 24 hours we both got violently sick with the 'stomach flu'. We suspect it was the Beef and Broccoli as it had a suspicious taste. This is the second time we have had a negative experience with this business. We won't be back! read more

Since moving to Mukwonago earlier this year, we've tried Chen's several times for carry out and once for the buffet. Thought that the buffet was a really great value with a good variety of items. The Kung Pao Chicken that I always get for carry out is excellent and their egg rolls are really good. One of the standout sauces is their house-made hot mustard - emphasis on HOT! Wow, if you think the hot mustard you get in the little packets at Chinese restaurants is hot, wait until you try this stuff! Handle with care is all I can say... but I love it! read more

This was the worst food I have ever had. Everything was mush and had a weird taste. The lo mein looked like it rolled around the floor before being put in the buffet. The spring rolls were filled with cabbage that was complete mush and the eggs rolls were the same way. Will never go back! read more

Carry-out is good - orders have always been correct and while waiting you can see them cooking in the kitchen with care. After a long day of "Midnight Magic" we decided to check out the buffet. They've doubled the seating area while the items on the menu have stayed the same. Food was warm and a-plenty. Just what you'd expect from a China Buffet! read more

This is by far the best Chinese buffet I've ever been to. The restaurant/buffet is well-maintained and always clean. The service is great, and the prices are extremely affordable compared to other buffets in the area. I highly recommend going here if you haven't! read more

Excellent food option. Have gotten takeout here many times. Always great service. Food is always accurate and tasty. Writing this is making me want to place an order. read more

Better than average Chinese food at a reasonable price. Will definitely continue to get my Chinese food from here.

Food great , selection average for a Chinese buffet. Service in terms of drinks, clearing plates other assistance is great

You may find some ok food here but the place is not clean and most items are over cooked and breaded thick with fat. No thanks. Won't go there period. read more

Food was really fresh and flavorful! The staff were also SO sweet, I will be coming back.

nothing was hot, everything appeared to be full but unedible. NASTY NASTY NASTY.Overpricedddddddddd , bathroom was just filthy, parking lot is difficult to maneuver. read more

Totally the crab Rangoon and chicken sticks are my all time favorite like this place is the bomb

This isn't my go to place for Chinese, but I know many people that like it. It's decent, and a good value for what you get for the price.

Great place with excellent service and food. First came to the place with my grandparents a couple years ago and loved it. Finally had time to come back out recently and enjoyed it just the same. Great price and service from the employees. Make sure to get there early on weekends as the place gets busy quick for the buffet. read more

Everytime I have called them they r very nice over the phone and I respect that immensely. Food always taste good and never change's quality because they have a different cook and this is another thing that is very nice. Whenever I carry out none of their containers spill bc they dont cheep out on plastics. I got egg drop soup and sweet n sour sauce n even tho it tipped over in the bag nothing was spilled!! I end up using some of their containers for packing my own lunches as well. Thanks for some extra tupperware! read more

I had bariatric weight loss surgery and I Cary a card stating I have had it and that I can not eat much so when I go out I show this card. Chens refuses to abide by the card or even give a little leeway. Food not flavorful and very small selection of choices. read more

Chen's is an awesome place. They always seem to find new ways to impress me. Affordable, great food, modest portions, great lunch menu, very clean, extremely friendly service, accommodating management, modern payment options. They have great COVID measures in place for pickup. If you call in, they already know your name and usual orders from past orders. We try to eat there a couple times a month, at least. We love it and will continue supporting them as long as we can! read more

We were looking for a dine in restaurant, finally found Chen's. What a blessing, staff was very attentive, food was to die for, and a great selection on the buffet. Feeling blessed that we found them. Will definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again. read more

The service was good but the food was very subpar. Tasted like sewer water and soap? Not sure how that's possible but it was not good at all. The atmosphere itself was decent but the food was very bleh... unfortunate read more
