Two downfalls of the room is that the sun shines right in and there's nothing to block the sun from those guests that have the sun on their face. There's also a door hook on the floor near the entrance of the room and it's located at the end of a long table (had a party of 20) , lots of people kicked it and tripped on it, ended up covering it with a chair, would suggest if the door is closed and the hook is exposed to cover it with something so people see it. Delicious appetizers- garlic knots and vongole pomodoro, never really had a clams appetizer with tomato sauce so that was different and delicious. Could've just had these for dinner loved the clams so much and it came with a ton of clams! Entrees- Caesar salad and tried a seasonal feature - spring forest gnocchi with pancetta - Potato gnocchi finished in a white wine cream sauce with roasted asparagus, peas, wild mushrooms, crispy pancetta, and Grana Padano $26 Caesar salad was good a little too lemony. The gnocchi dish was good loved the mushrooms and veggies but thought that it could've used a little browning on the gnocchi. Overall it was good liked the white wine cream sauce, it was light and not a heavy cream sauce. The kids pepperoni pizza was big for a kids meal it came out fast which was great love when restaurants push to get kids foods out because they know the kids are hungry! The kids meal $14 came w pizza $2 add on for pepperoni, drink, dessert - chose the cannoli and it came with 2 mini cannolis. Our server was excellent and did really well for handing a party of 20 on his own. When asked for items like extra napkin. They had extra cool and hot water set throughout the table which was nice.

The restaurant area was open and it was easy to get a seat with no wait time. We wanted the happy hour and were told we had to move to the bar to get the happy hour fair. So after having our appetizers we moved to the bar. At the table we ate the pesto pasta gnocchi which was really delicious. We also ate the mushroom burrata. This one was good but very spicy for me. We also ate the special peach salad. It was a nice summer salad with lots of cheese and a perfect amount of peach. At the bar we had the happy hour margarita pizza which was delicious. We also ate the cauliflower which had a garlic cheese flavor and was good. I ate it without the pancetta which made it taste more garlicky. The garlic knots were nice but very garlic and butter flavored. It was good with the tomato sauce. For dessert we had the warm caramel cake. It is the most delicious cake ever. All the food we ate there was delicious. The only negative thing was the bathroom was very messy. I have never seen it this messy. It may just be because we had a late dinner. The other problem was that the cloth table napkins smelled so bad like mold. I don't think they are washing them.

My wife had never been here, and for me it had been over 10 years, so we were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing. On the positive side, the bread was good, the burrata appetizer was tasty, and my Marsala chicken wasn't too bad. However, my wife's Linguine Tutta Mare was not good at all. The mussels tasted completely off and had a bad smell. I tried them myself and they were fishy, not how mussels are supposed to taste. We told our waiter, and he kind of brushed it off, saying they get their seafood in daily and that mussels can sometimes be "that way." He gave no apology and no real acknowledgment to the issue, but just cleared our plates and walked away. To top it all off, they were out of the Panna Cotta, which was the dessert I'd been looking forward to. The other options didn't appeal to us as much, but we settled for them anyway. Afterwards, we still felt a little hungry. For our first lunch date in a while, this was a real letdown. Definitely not worth $35 per person.

I usually give myself one lunch out a week during the work week and I have returned to Blake's a few times. They have slices or whole pizzas and I usually just get whatever slice they have available. The slices are a nice size and it is very fast to get served which makes it a good place for lunch. They also have plenty of other options but I have not tried any yet.
