    Tandoori Pizza
    Jacques I.

I'm glad I discovered Z's Pizza, thanks to a friend who ordered pizza from here when I was at her place. The pizza was delicious, so had to make it my own pizza spot for the next time I placed a pizza order. Z's Pizza is located in Crossroads, close to the shopping center in the small business strip near Michael's. I ordered the tandoori pizza and the cheeseburger one, and asked that the pizzas come without onion. They had a special for two large pizzas for $35, which is a good amount of pizza for a great deal. I was told the pizza would be ready in 15 minutes, and it indeed was. Although the staff was nice and they showed me the pizzas before I took them home, I learned that it sadly included onion after closer observation. Gah! So I sucked it up and ate the pizza with onion, which was fine and it was still tasty, but darn, I really wish it didn't have the onion since I hate onion! Particularly for the cheeseburger pizza, the onion was heavily loaded with it. I'd order pizza from here again, especially since the menu is large with a lot of different options to choose from. I'll just make sure to emphasize the no onion request again and again!

ORDERING PIZZA BY PHONE AND ESPECIALLY IN PERSON IS SO 20TH CENTURY! I have been coming to this place for years at the Crossroads Shopping Mall in Bellevue, located at the separate small eastern strip mall just west of 158th Ave NE. It has undergone at least three incarnations that I can remember through the years, but always with the same phone number...NOT. Apparently they changed their Order Line phone number. It originally was "Pietro's Pizza" during the '70s and '80s.. But it has always been a semi-strictly takeout place with little room for sitting down while patiently waiting for your pie(s). But no matter, it now is very easy to order off their website. And I believe they also have an app (who doesn't). BUT TO GENERATION Z, EVERYTHING IS AUTOMATIC, SYSTEMATIC, H-AI-DROMATIC I like the way their website is laid out, with every menu item shown in rectangular portrait mode (similar to Yelp photos on business feeds). It also tells you an exact time when the pizza is ready. Then you can come in and pick up your pie. My last pie (Saturday, August 9, 2025) was promised ready at 22:00. I came in right at 10 PM and it was ready (see pix). You can also still order the ancient, antiquated, obsolescent, old-fashioned way, either by phone, or in person at the cash register. There was quite a line of people waiting inside. Maybe that's why they call it (Generation) Z's Pizza . During slow times, the friendly staff may let you eat inside as well. But most of the time, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, the fastest way is to preorder online, or at least by phone (takes longer, sometimes with busy signals), pick up your pizza at the promised "ready" time, then leave. GET READY FOR PIZZAI! If they don't already, perhaps they will have AI bots manning the phone lines with no busy signals. This way the employees are not distracted from Pizza preparation. In 10 years, they will probably only have your AIexa automatically order your pizza when she senses you're hungry, with AI pizza ovens, and AI drone home delivery. No more manual ordering, no more pick-up, no more "pizza patience", no more cash registers and probably no more employees.(see the 2004 Will Smith movie "I, Robot.") NOT JUST ITALIAN, BUT INDIAN PIZZA TOO, AND ALL THAT JAZZ They serve Indian pizza as the Crossroads neighborhood in Bellevue is mainly Indian immigrants who work at Microsoft. But they also serve more traditional Italian pizzas historically (and sometimes hysterically) favored by Americans. But not just pizza, also calzones, salads, breadsticks, drinks, and all the other usual suspect items that you expect to find at a pizza joint. And it all tastes good. Their custom made pies are the best price value. But you can also order your custom pie as well. But expect to pay more on a per topping basis. They also have old-fashioned human delivery for an extra fee.

Called on Thanksgiving because I had just moved my daughter to the area and this was going to be dinner. 1. Grateful they were open. 2. They had great reviews for their pizza and the crust. have a nice conversation with who I think was the owner as I waited for my pizzas to come out and talked about the local area in the schools. Loaded my pizzas up in the car and the 10 minute drive to my daughters house almost killed me because the pizza smelled so amazing! When we opened it up, it looked amazing. It tasted amazing and we definitely had it for breakfast as well.

I ordered paneer butter masala and grabbed a mango lassi from the fridge. I returned about 5 min later and it was ready for me! They do not ask for spice preference, and the things I have ordered all have mild heat (equivalent to 1-2 stars). This works great for me. The meals all come with rice, which is great. The food is definitely better for takeout, as the curry and rice were in different containers and it was a little awkward to try to eat it there. That said, it held up great and was a perfect meal on the couch! The ambiance in the food court is so so. Really depends on the time of day. Lots of crying babies there when we went, so we took it to go.

This was a Friday, so I was told the lunch specials were no longer valid. There attendant explained that it's only valid Monday-Thursday. I find that kind of lame, like it's the middle of the day on Friday c'mon. I got the Butter Chicken meal which was ok. The chicken was a bit dry, but the sauce was nice and creamy. About 2 servings. The meal also comes with Naan, it was 3 nice sized pieces. They were hot and tasted fresh. The presentation was nice as my expectations for food court food a slightly lower. Getting it "for here" over "to go" probably helped with that. I'd consider going again but definitely would try for a lunch special to save a few bucks.

You're in an old food court with people reading books they just bought from half priced books, there's a live band called the "Criminal Squirrel Orchestra" singing their experimental folk indie in matching hot pink tees thanking the audience for putting up with them after each song lol, and all the restaurants has that "Global Village Coffeehouse" aesthetic (look it up you'll know what I mean ). The old navy and Barnes and nobles have their old logo, there are middle aged artists and craftsman tabling their handmade pottery, quilted aprons, or homegrown beeswax, an extremely worn out play area with children running around, you can see people on computers at the library which is connected to the food court? and kids riding on those kiddie car rides that rock back and forth... everything was pure nostalgia and it's all preserved here in Bellevue. Anyways the food was amazing; I didn't know what half the menu items were but I trusted google reviews for this one and the portions and range of flavors did not disappoint. James at first was hesitant because it was all vegetarian but everything was so flavorful, had so many textures we didn't even think about craving meat. I placed my order through Yelp, which redirects customers to DoorDash for fulfillment. Unfortunately, there was no option to specify the spice level for the paneer masala side dish, despite the restaurant description highlighting customizable spice levels as part of its offering. Because I have health-related dietary concerns, I called the restaurant immediately after placing the order to request a mild spice level. The staff member who answered was initially unable to locate my order, even after I spelled out the name multiple times, which significantly delayed the process. My husband later called and was able to get someone to find the order, but when I called back again to confirm the mild spice request, I was told it was too late to make any changes. I also had an earlier issue when I accidentally went to the wrong location and called for assistance. Rather than providing the Bellevue location's direct number or helping redirect me, I was placed on hold multiple times, which added to the inconvenience. While the food itself was excellent, the customer service and ordering experience were disappointing. Since the Yelp/ DoorDash ordering flow does not allow customers to specify spice preferences for certain items, I expected more flexibility and consideration when I called immediately after placing the order with a reasonable health-related request.
