Very friendly, family run cafecito! I have been coming for the past two years now and love the pastries. The agua fresca is very refreshing and the tamales are full of flavor. The location is a little hidden in the back of an industrial complex, but it has close access to the river trail. On a sunny day, it's nice to take the food outside and eat by the river. Service is quick and there's seating inside with a few tables and some games. They're trying to make it a community space. read more

We really liked this place. It's a bit hard to find tucked away in sort of an industrial area but upside is plenty of easy parking! It's got the vibes of a small family run business which we really liked and want to support; and everyone we talked to was super friendly and helpful. The inside has a few tables but overall isn't really a cafe you'd post up and do work in. Feels more like a grab and go kinda place or just eat your stuff quickly and be on your way - luckily we came for the food not the ambiance. The churro concha was excellent (filled with dulce de leche) and overall not too sweet. The classic chocolate concha was good too, fluffy pillowy and the right amount of sweetness. We got a guava rose iced tea as well. Good selection of flavors like guava, hibiscus, mango :) yum. Lastly we tried the tamales. One green and one red and both were excellent as well. Would definitely considering catering them from this place if we host a big event in the future or picking up a bunch of morning pastries when people are in town!! read more

Was running my errands and looked on Google to find a coffee place. Took a while to find the place, it's in the warehouse area. They were out of vegetarian empanadas ordered chili and tomato tamales and Mexican coffee. I took it and ate in my car. Coffee was delicious and tamales wasn't bad. I found a sammamish river trail behind and took my coffee and went for a walk. read more

I didn't try any of their pastries, but I was thirsty while walking around Issaquah Farmers Market, and decided to try their aqua fresca. I mixed the strawberry and lime, and it was nice and fruity, and was really refreshing. It helped quench my thirst. And staff was friendly. read more

I've seen Cafecito at the Fremont market for years, and just tried it for the first time. I asked for a Mexican coffee, and the wonderful person there offered up the mocha instead. How did they know EXACTLY what I needed in that moment? I'm not sure. But it changed me forever. I will now seek this out anywhere I can. You ever have coffee at someplace you've never been to, and you feel like you're floating on a cloud? Yeah, that happened. But it was also the best chocolately blend of coffee ever. Like an elevated Dunkaccino (for my east coast people). It instantaneously improved my mood. My seasonally induced depression was gone, I was jumping through the streets. My dog was alarmed by my positive demeanor. I also got a mango and cream cheese filled pastry which was fantastic. I'll be back again when I see them at the market! read more

Sometimes you need an injection of something different (like a Mexican bakery) within Redmond so I went out of my way here - seriously the location probably is cheap, but tucked so far in the back corner of an industrial park that no traffic would ever consider driving to. I know conchas are popular and classically representative of Mexican culture, but judging from here it may not be my thing; sizing was good, but maybe I expected some more soft density to them. The churro concha being slightly filled internally was the best, meanwhile the Oreo one lacked flavor. The chorizo empanada and horchata were just ok enough. I do however love the guava and cheese hojaldras, which alone made me come back. Service is best described as quiet, after two visits. For a place that's so hidden and maybe could use more business, I might think there could be some more lively/welcoming personality. read more

TL;DR: filled pastries more flavorful. Location is atypical. Location: yes it is in a small business park, yes it may seem a little sketchy and you might feel lost, yes it really is around the corner. Parking: very small one row lot in front of the business. Atmosphere: cafe really does seem out of place in this business park. The interior is small with only a couple tables to sit at for sipping and snacking. Service: order and pay at the counter. Menu: screen on the wall behind the pastry case. Pastry prices are not listed in the case. The menu doesn't list pastry prices either aside from the savory pastries. Pricing is a bit on the high end for the pastry content. Conchas: very lightly sweetened bread with a crumbly topping of equally lightly sweetened flavoring of your choice. The churros flavor has some sweetened filling inside that gives it more depth, which I prefer. Hojaldra Pina: pineapple strudel. Very sticky and flaky and very good. Has a slight tang. Hojaldra Guava and Cream Cheese: guava and cream cheese strudel. The guava is pretty good and flavorful. The pastry is very flaky and light but there's a satisfying filling to pastry ratio. Didn't feel like I was biting into a hollow pastry with skimped out filling. read more

Absolutely exceptional!!! My husband and I discovered this place by sheer luck! We are from Olympia but were close to Issaquah because my husband had some weekend work training in the area. We decided to try out some local spots in Issaquah and enjoy the sunshine when we stumbled upon the Saturday market! There we saw the conchas that cafecito had in their display case. Our eldest teen absolutely loves conchas so we bought one of each flavor to try. Red velvet, churro and classic. The lady at the booth was so sweet and friendly. She asked if we were sure we didn't want any tamales, of course we got three to try. I wish we bought more! Everything was delicious and I would travel far again just to have more!! I'm excited to have another vendor to add to our fav pop up shop list! read more

Was at the farmer's market and had to try this drink. The sweet lady at the booth told us they only use real fruit, and after trying it I can most certainly vouch that it was real mango. Thick and sweet with the tajin powder and chamoy coated straw was delish. We will be back next time to try out their pan dulces. read more

Really cool variety of bakery and flavors! We tried them at the SLU Saturday Market. We got the churro latte, barra de mantequilla, churro concha, and empanada de piña. Super friendly service and very efficient! They also gave me a bag to carry all my pastries which was thoughtful. Ambiance was good too - I loved the way their booth was decorated and displayed! We would definitely come again. read more

Best Mexican pastries on the eastside. I'll be coming here to get a box of dozen for my coworkers.

This hole in the wall business is heaven sent. I ventured into this fine establishment this am and boy was I taken back by the amazing smells of cafe de Olla and freshly baked Pan Dulce. They had just baked the pan Dulce and it was EPIC!! I used to live in LA where it's panaderia central and never had I had pan dulce this good. It's Legit. They have a variety of pan dulce, tamales, empanadas and agua Fresca. Yes I said TAMALES!! I tried their rajas, pork and chicken tamales and omg was I transported back to my childhood during Christmas when I took a first bite. Please do not hesitate to find and go to this place. ITS AMAZING! Thank you guys so much. I'll be back again soon. Is it too soon to go back for lunch? FYI this place is hidden a tucked in the back near a bunch of where houses so don't give up! The día de los muertos bread that I bought was perfectly baked and a great example of cultures for my Spanish students. Their service was kind and fast even though the shop was busy with customers buying more of the same too! I hope they can expand a bit to have a bigger cafe sitting area so the cozy ambiance can be extended. I highly recommend this place and am going to inquire about field trips for my for my high school Spanish classes. read more

We came to this bakery while roaming around the SLU Saturday market. Nice set up, with eye catching bakery items. Service was good. We ordered their:- Nutella Concha:- Definetly no Nutella filling, rather chocolate paste, at least that's what it tasted like. The outer was dry and crumbly. Inside semi soft brioche bun with chocolate paste filling. Pass Ninos:- Which is vanilla sponge with raspberry jam and coconut flakes. This was a good one. Something similar is made in our hometown in India with a different variety of jam filling. Mangonada:- Nice refreshing drink. Cold coffee Latte:- Not as per my taste. Water and coffee with sugar. Nope. I thought latte means more milk portion. Overall, good one time experience. read more

Pastries are quite tasty. Everything is pricey. Tamales were quite a bit salty for my taste. Being it's a bit out of the way for me and for how much it costs, I would not go back. But if you're looking for tasty Mexican pastries and are willing to pay a premium for it, you should at least try this place out. read more

Tried this place at a pop up market today. We bought mini conchas, buñuelos, café de olla and tamales rojos and verdes. Everything was great, the buñuelos of course not as good as my abuelita's and the tamales were a little uneven and needed a little more filling/sauce. I just wish they were closer to my house. read more

I visited this local business during the SLU Saturday market (it was clutch as this was the last day of the market for this year as summer is over) and had a positive experience. They have a variety of baked goods like concha (Mexican sweet bread) and other stuff like pan de muerto and empanadas. They also have cafe de olla which is a Mexican spiced coffee. I got the coffee and the churro concha which totaled a little under $10 after tax. The concha is fairly sweet and texture similar to that of a scone. It was interesting since the concha I had in Mexico are softer and fresher so maybe it needed some reheating for it to be more enjoyable. There's still the outer slightly sweet shell which is good. There's dulce de leche filling inside that's nice but a bit on the sweeter side. The cafe de olla is sweet, spiced, and slightly fruity (orange) and I really enjoyed it. I haven't had this type of coffee before despite a few trips to Mexico in the past. It was about $4.50 for 8oz or almost $6 for 12oz which is a bit steep, but this is one of the better coffees I tasted in its purest form. Overall, this is a solid Mexican bakery and coffee spot that satisfied my sweet tooth. read more

This is really a hidden gem, emphasis on the hidden. Head to the back of the business park and you will find them in the same building block as Cypress Tree. They are usually open Wednesday - Saturday. They always have a small but solid selection of pan dulce, as good as you can find in LA. There are also always a few adventurous takes on traditional items, a concha de churro was the one I tried this week, *so* good! The pastry dough is light and flaky. Tamales, usually chicken, pork and vegetable are good as well. This is a very small place run by the nicest folks, do give them a try! read more
