This place is actually so good, if you ar win the area and have a chance to go you should, everything was good. Is there even a point to me reviewing their shit changes, but enough of it was good for me to just recommend the place. The cake thing was like a big ass ferrerro rochet with banana bread and chocolate around it I hope they sell it again some time. Revisited this bakery a few times since they've opened and I'm blown away every time. The cakes and pastries themselves look like works of art and you can tell there's a lot of attention in detail put into every single piece. My favorite is the choux with the flower on top. We also got matcha and coffee drinks which were well done. The staff were friendly and were very excited to tell us about some of the pastries we weren't sure about. The space has home and kitchen items to look at while you're waiting in line and the line does move fast so if you come on a weekend don't get scared away. One of my favorite bakeries and definitely recommend!!!
T55 Patisserie is definitely a bit out of the way, but the drive is a million percent worth it. The bakery serves up a rotating menu and while there were a couple misses, the highlights will absolutely blow your socks off. It's only street parking near the store, but downtown Bothell doesn't get too busy. The store is also extremely tiny, with only space for 2 parties to order at once and a few outdoor tables for seating. Went with some friends around 9:30AM on a Saturday and nothing had been sold out yet. The wait can get a bit long though as even though there were only 3 groups ahead, we waited nearly 20 minutes to enter the store. Highlights: - Banana Cake (4.5/5): Think of a Ferraro Rocher, but instead of a crappy wafer, it's a shell of chocolate and hazelnut around the moistest banana cake and topped light whipped cream. - Black Truffle Goat Cheese Focaccia (4.75/5): Probably a 5 right out the oven, but perfect texture with light crunch, airiness, and chew. Flavors are amazingly balanced with some funk paired with a bit of honey / sweetness; I don't even like goat cheese and I still dream about this sometimes. Skip: - Chocolate Chip Cookie (2.5/5): It's not bad, but they do soooo many things well and this is just okay. Nothing special and the chocolate is good, but the dough itself just was a bit firm (but not crispy).
Finallllly, made it out here after years of wishing/waiting/wondering where Susu Dessert Bar went as its first location in Chinatown is heavily visited by me. Susu, always a highlight in Chinatown, was just different, Michelin worthy pastries that produced early, long lines. I remember nostalgically all of us waiting in line and staring through the window looking and praying that what we want/came for would still be available when we finally got to order. It was part of the charm. Fast forward, they moved to Bothell, with a new name T55 Patisserie. But honestly Bothell is just out of the way for me and I suspect for many more too, but I'm sure the locals there don't mind as now its closer to them, Lucky! :) Its definitely still a 5 star eating experience, and I wish them well and know they will do well, but really wish they were back in Chinatown so I could see them way more. Every bite...."so good when it hits your lips!"
I finally visited T55 Patisserie for a mid-morning coffee and pastry run. This shop is located in downtown Bothell. There's available street parking in front of the shop or across the street. Their space is cute and cozy. There's no indoor seating, however there are tables reserved for customers on the sidewalk. Beautiful pastries are displayed behind a glass case with a brief description of their fillings and ingredients. Staring at the selections, I can already feel the pressure of making my selection. I just threw caution to the wind and ordered an iced americano, cardamon bun, and banoffee choux. The cardamon bun was dredged in sugar and had a delightful crisp. The cardamon flavor was perfect. The banoffee choux was filled with a toffee, bananas, and cream filling. This was topped with a buttercream and banana coulis which was decorated like flower. This all disappeared within a few bites. Staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this pastry shop and will definitely return to try the other pastries.
A French-Asian pastry shop that features a small selection of pastries and coffee from Fulcrum. I've been wanting to go here but the hours before were challenging to make, but now, they do open weekdays 10am-3pm so it was a good excuse to swing by on a Friday. I came close to 10:30am and there was a line, so it must be good. The small selection meant quality over quantity. Parking is free and plentiful street parking or the garage but I didn't really research on logistics on that. I got the black truffle goat cheese focaccia and passion fruit raspberry choux. Coffee menu is decently different from the standard lattes - they had Asian inspired flavors like yuzu, so I decided to get the yuzu caramel latte. Black truffle goat cheese focaccia - has some honey so it's more sweet and savory. The goat cheese was fresh and creamy, and the black truffle flavor is apparent but not too dominating Passion fruit raspberry choux - WOW. Each bite was heavenly. A lot going on here - the filling is a passion fruit cream with raspberry jam. The bites outside are slightly flaky and soft at the same time. The cream is fairly thick and the center passion fruit jam is tangy. This is one of best pastries I've had! Yuzu caramel latte - a bit sweet but the yuzu flavor is apparent and works well with the coffee. I enjoyed it, though I wished they served without the lid for the latte art and I self serve put the lid on thereafter, but no biggie Downside of this place is that it's super far from the city where I live, but the choux is worth the journey again. Overall, excellent pastries especially the choux. I'd be curious of their new fine dining concept ILMU which is open for reservations on Resy.
How have I not reviewed this place? Anyway, my husband and I have been to T55 twice in the last month or so. The first time we went, it was shortly after they opened. There was already a line but we only waited less than an hour. An employee came out and showed the drinks menu to everyone so we can order drinks while waiting to get inside to order pastries. For the drinks, we got the yuzu caramel latte and the pandan matcha latte. OMG! Both drinks were delicious. The coffee was strong and the syrups did not make the drinks too sweet. For the pastries, I don't even know where to start coz we got a lot! All I can say is we loved every single pastry we got and I'm excited to come back for more! The second time we came, it was on Father's Day and it was towards their closing time. The pastries were sold out except for the Passionfruit coffee dessert so we only got drinks. We ordered the yuzu caramel latte again and tried the genmaicha latte. I'd say the genmaicha latte was good, but the pandan matcha latte stole my heart. You can actually preorder if you don't want to wait in line especially on weekends! If you don't, just come early! The service is pretty quick anyway!
I finally was able to make it up here to try some of the desserts I've heard so much about. Sadly, the cafe area was not open and a lot of Items on the menu I had wanted to try were not offered mid week but the ones I did try had nice textures, gentle complex flavors and were overall light. Price point was a bit higher than I expected for a few small items (average $8/each) but still nice to try.
I have had this place bookmarked for a few months now, but when a friend shared one of her strawberry matcha choux with me one day, I immediately had to come and get more. & not to mention, I am not even a sweets person. It was slightly past noon on a Friday, and although the selection in the display case was very limited, I was glad to see there were still some strawberry matcha choux left! If you wanted to secure your top picks though, pre-ordering is available each Wednesday after 5pm for pickup on the weekend. To drink, I ordered the iced pandan matcha latte, which I was happy with. The two flavors went well together, although the pandan was very subtle. The pastries here are very intricate compared with most other bakeries. I am hoping for the matcha tart and durian flavors to come back into their weekly rotation soon because those are the ones I've been wanting to try! In April they will finally be opening ILMU, which is a restaurant that offers a 6 course tasting experience. I am definitely looking forward to coming back for that as well :) If you wanted to sit down and eat your pastries, their only seating for that is outside. Parking was not too difficult. There is both street parking and garage retail parking available.
Came here around 2pm on a Wednesday and while some things were sold out they still had other options. I tried their black sesame raspberry choux, tart, guava drink, truffle chocolate, passion fruit hazelnut coffee dessert cup and goat cheese black truffle focaccia. Everything was delicious! I wouldn't get the truffle chocolate or the guava drink again since they weren't anything too special, but the choux, the coffee cup and the focaccia were amazing. Flavours are blended well together and I love how the dressers are not too sweet! It's a small place inside and there are spots for you to sit outdoors. There isn't a lot of space however, so if there is a line, except to take the food to go.
Stopped by here randomly a little bit before they closed, we decided to grab two treats: the chocolate chunk hazelnut cookie and apple Szechuan crumble cake. I really liked the chocolate cookie and it's one of my favorites I've had in a long time, I also liked the cake but it wasn't my favorite but definitely very unique and not like anything I've had before. The service is very nice and friendly and fast. The shop Is pretty small and there's a sign outside that says only 5 in line for inside. There seems to be an area to sit but i guess it was reserved or something because it was blocked off.
Was very excited to try T55 finally! I went on 3/15 around 10 am and there was a line waiting outside with 10-12 people in front of me. From when I first got in line to getting my pastries and walking out the door, it took close to 45-50 minutes. I appreciated that there was someone taking drink orders, so in the very least you can sip on your bevy while waiting! They seemed to still have everything in stock, but definitely recommend going early if you can to avoid the lines or pre-order online for pickup! My order: (see receipt for prices) - 12 oz regular latte - 12 oz hojicha latte - goat cheese truffle focaccia - chocolate babka - strawberry matcha choux Everything was so worth it though! I absolutely loved the fluffy focaccia with truffle and goat cheese! I could eat a whole so much of that fluffy goodness. The truffle and cheese weren't overpowering whatsoever, but just the perfect balance. The chocolate babka was perfect to eat with the lattes. I especially loved that the babka had a chocolate shell on top, but once again wasn't too sweet but a great balance. I do wish the babka had walnuts or some type of nut in there, but nonetheless was still great. I do think if you ate the babka by itself, it could be a little dry but that's why you must get a bevy to complement it! The choux was also another favorite and definitely something I'd go back to get. The flavors were just so great and not overly sweet. The outside texture is perfectly baked. There's a thin layer of caramel or dulce de leche and then the matcha and strawberry cream topped with a cute buttercream and strawberry jam flower. So so good! Highly recommend if you enjoy matcha. The lattes were also very good. I love Fulcrum in downtown Seattle, so I definitely appreciate that T55 uses them for their coffee. You can taste the difference in quality of coffee vs other places. Definitely grab the Hojicha latte while you still can! It's a seasonal and a great cold weather bevy with its earthy, charcoal and chocolatey flavors!
We came in to ILMU today for their summer pop up. It's to kick off their new weekend menu - saturdays and sundays. They said pastries will still be offered Tuesday-fridays. We got two drinks and split the rosette as a snack since we came from brunch. And let me just say, we cannot wait to come back and try more items! The rosette was so delicate and airy. The most perfectly curated bite with caviar. We will be dreaming about it for days! read more
I finally made it to T55 after years of wanting to try it. The bakery is only open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am to 3pm. We tried: Peach Passion Fruit Choux- excellent! One of the best choux pastry desserts I have ever had. Strawberry Shortcake Tart- delicious Danish Cardamom Bun- Just ok. We could not really taste the cardamom and it is not at all like the ones you get in Scandinavia Beef Khachapouri- we warmed this in the oven and a massive amount of grease came out. Way too greasy. So we would not get the bun or the khachapouri again. But the choux and tart were delicious. And I'd be very interested in trying other items. This is a very pricey bakery, but nice for an occasional treat. read more
My friend and I decided to stop by for breakfast before helping out at the Brooks Truckload sale. It was the perfect opportunity because I would never come to Bothell if it weren't for such purposes. We got the savory focaccia, custard bun, and the yuzu cream puff (probably not their official names, but you'll understand what I mean when you see them). My absolute favorite was the custard bun - the custard was smooth and just the right amount of sweetness! And the bun was fluffy. Focaccia was also pleasantly fluffy but it's kinda messy to eat because your fingers will get sticky. The focaccia was good to eat outside -- I never recognized its garlicky scent while eating it outside, but the scent was pretty strong when I tried to eat the leftover at home. Cream puff was also good, but I don't prefer items with a lot of heavy cream, so it was not my favorite. As for drinks, the latte was good! I liked how the drinks came with a complimentary piece of chocolate. That chocolate was very good. Service is average. It's not really friendly but they seemed to be going about business as usual. Bathroom is clean and it was clutch because I had to go wash my hands after eating the focaccia. No one seems to know what's up with the dining area indoors. They have a pretty nice setup of dining tables inside, but they're blocked out. Each table said they are reserved and had some kind of menu on it. Maybe they have another purpose outside of T55?? I'm curious. They did have like three outdoor seating which worked just fine. read more

If you get one thing from here, get the beef keema khachapuri (georgian cheese bread)!! The khachapuri was delectable! I'm not even sure what all the ingredients were but it was unique and had additional toppings than a regular keema khachapuri. Also recommended the pandan matcha latte!! Third time coming to T55... I have to admit that this is the fanciest bakery in Bothell. They really have an amazing assortment of goodies and the presentation is exceptional. The line is always long outside since they can only allow 6 people inside at a time due to its size. So be prepared to wait. You can order online and pick up if you already know what you want. But it does appear that their items change. So it's always nice to check out what's new. On this recent trip, we tried bbq chicken kachapuri which was interesting. It's well made and looked so good. I liked the taste and texture...it tasted like a bbq chicken pizza. For me, it was a little too much sauce and could have used more chicken. Loved the cheesiness and the egg inside. Not sure why there is lemon rind pieces though...they seemed out of place. Basque cheesecake is divine. Very smooth, not too sweet! read more
Fabulous patisserie in Bothell with outside seating, high quality European pastries and treats, and coffee and tea. Highest quality in the area. We had an assortment of items including a gluten free almond cake, passion fruit cream bun, blue cheese apricot financier. This place is on my list. read more

T55 Patisserie is one of my family's favorite place to have a pastries from in the weekend. Customer service is always excellent, personable, and efficient as I usually place an order during the Saturday order window. The menu rotates but consistently offers perfectly crafted and aesthetically appealing pastries. I'm excited to see the T55 Patisserie continued growth, and highly recommend! read more

Decided to give this place a try after hearing all the good reviews. I got a passion fruit maritozzo and a matcha raspberry choux. The matcha raspberry choux was great. I waited until I got home to try the passion fruit maritozzo--it was okay. A little more tart than I expected, but not bad. Unfortunately, things took a turn when I was halfway through. I noticed a piece of hair sticking out of the cream. Normally, a stray hair on food doesn't completely turn me off--I'd just remove it and move on. But as I pulled on this one, it just kept going, like it was woven into the pastry. It was thick and long. I immediately tossed it into the compost bin. That was disappointing, because I really did enjoy the matcha raspberry choux. We had to wait in line to get in, so I was excited to try this place. But sadly, the experience didn't live up to the hype. I'm not sure we'll make the drive up to Bothell again. read more

I stopped by the bakery on a Sunday morning 10 minutes before they opened and there's already a line out the door. The line moves quick once they opened. As a durian fan I had to try the durian items. Durian choux: I really enjoy the smooth filling on the inside and crunchy on the outside. The durian taste is not too strong and just right. Durian financier: personally I'm not a big fan of this and prefer the choux. It is still very good and worth a try! Great bakery overall! First heard of this place from Susu (old place in Chinatown). - Durian Choux - Durian Financier - Garam Masala Potato Brioche - Black Sesame Raspberry Choux: A bit too sweet for my liking and not enough black sesame flavor. - Flower Pain Au Croissant: So pretty and also yummy! - Singapore Curry Crab Scone: Softest scone we've ever had! Something to note: super long line on a Sunday at 11. They have someone who went down the line asking if you want to order a drink, which is nice. It looks like they're working on a lounge inside, but currently there are some tables outside that you could sit at to eat! read more

My friend and I tried a lot when we came by: pandan matcha latte, yuzu caramel latte, matcha cherry croux, raspberry tart, Singapore curry crab scone and my favorite- black truffle goat cheese focaccia. We got there Thursday morning right before opening, and there was a short line before us. As soon as 10 hit, someone came out and took our drink orders, so it was ready for us by the time we ordered our pastries. Prices for the desserts range from $5-$8. *There was only outside eating options, due to construction/ remodeling happening inside. I'm glad I was able to try many options, and everything was well made with yummy flavors and amazing expertise. But I'd come back just for the focaccia !!! read more

I came here two years ago and was not that impressed, so I randomly decided to give T55 a try again. I think they are sharing a space with a new restaurant, they had a limited counter where you order and look at their pastries. The matcha strawberry choux was incredible. The flower petals were vanilla cream, topped with strawberry jam. Inside, it contained matcha cream w a strawberry cookie. The layers were so delicious and impressive! The basque cheesecake, however, was so disappointing. I could tell that it was not fresh and the slice they gave had been sitting out for a while- there were many pieces of large dust :,( even though the choux was so good, i only had one bite of the basque cheesecake so i'm not sure if i can come back. some street parking. read more
I came across T55 while randomly scrolling through bakeries. We decided to drop by on a Sunday, and wow, I have to say this place is popular. We got there right when they opened and there was a line out the door and down the block. It took over 30 minutes to finally make it in and place our order. One of the workers was speeding up the process by taking drink orders in line and delivering them - any bit helps with the wait! Black Truffle Goat Cheese Focaccia ($6.25) - The entire bakery smelled like truffle as we walked in and that enticed us to order this. I appreciate that they asked what type of slice I wanted - center, edge, or corner. I went with the edge. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see two pieces of focaccia - perhaps an order usually comes with two pieces? And then I reviewed my receipt, where I saw them charge for two pieces. Honest mistake I guess. At any rate, again, the smell of truffle filled the car as we drove home. We dug in as soon as we were able to unpack all the bread. This focaccia is excellent. The crumb is light and airy, chewy without being dense. There's a nicely developed crust on the sides, giving a good crunch and fresh baked flavor, without becoming too oily. The toppings are superb - a couple of caramelized crumbles of goat cheese, pungent and goaty without being waterlogged, a bit of truffle oil, earthy with a different kind of pungency, and a sweet honey glaze. Given the strong truffle smell, at first I thought that it would completely over saturate the bread, not to mention the goat cheese also being overpowering! There are a lot of strong flavors here, but T55 adds everything in such perfect amounts that all the flavors meld together to create something very delicious rather than one flavor dominating everything else. The only thing I haven't mentioned yet is the bottom crust, which is a bit wan and soft, and holds in a more of the oil than is typical. That's really the only nitpick I have with this focaccia. Oh and that the entire house starts smelling like truffle, which does get tiring after a while! (4.5/5) BBQ Chicken Khachapuri ($13.95) - I'm not a huge fan of BBQ chicken pizza, but this looked interesting enough to try. At first glance it looks almost like cross between a pizza and an okonomiyaki, being circular in shape with an almost indistinguishable cornicione and a pleasing brown and white zigzag drizzle on top. On first bite, there's a very strong bbq sauce flavor, sweet and tangy, only tempered a bit by what I assume is a kewpie mayo drizzle. There's a couple of inches of crust, topped by a bit of melted and solidified cheese, before the pastry transitions to a saucer/depression chock full of ingredients. There are a couple of pieces of chopped white meat chicken, some onion, a bit of a green cruciferous vegetable, which I thought was kale at first glance, but tastes more like collard greens, a lemony citrus element that I can only assume is lemon pulp or rind, and an egg, cooked until the white is still soft, and the yolk runny in some parts, jammy in others. The base dough, denser than the foccacia, holds up well to the wealth of ingredients and doesn't collapse. (4/5) Pineapple Sable Breton Tart ($9.50) - Very interesting tart. First is a swiss meringue-ish cream attractively piped on top that tastes of caramel and cinnamon. Underneath is a pineapple marmalade - with the pineapple fibers not fully cooked down, leaving some texture. It's not too sweet, fruity, and honestly, combined with the cinnamon, almost is kind of like apple pie filling. The bottom is a buttery, crumbly shortcake crust that holds up well against the pineapple filling. (4.5/5) Valrhona Triple Chocolate Chip Brioche ($6.95) - Woah, chocolate on top of chocolate. They don't add much sugar so it's barely sweet and doesn't cover or enhance the chocolate flavor in any way. I especially love the crunchy, toasty cocoa nibs on top. Inside there's an almost caramel-like (in texture not in taste) chocolate pudding/pastry cream. The brioche basically has no sugar added and has some small, solidified chocolate chunks embedded, making each bite a delight. It's not a traditional brioche texture, but works well. Thanks to the cocao nibs and the absence of sugar, a bit of bitterness plays in every bite. I was imagining a sweet treat when originally purchasing this pastry, but was delightfully surprised at the actual execution. (5/5) I have to say I was very impressed with the pastries I bought. I have since returned a couple of times because I am frequently in the area. They do have unique pastries, and they are very tasty. I just can't get over the price! Feels very expensive even for the elegance and location. With tax $10.50 for a single serving tart. Decent size but not like a tart to share a dinner party. The beef pizza was delicious! read more

We had the strawberry matcha choux which was delicious! The choux pastry had some sort of carmelization on it that was great, the inside was light and fluffy, and had a Devine strawberry preserve filling. Also had the banana Carmel cake. My husband really enjoyed it. The cake was super moist, he liked the nuts in the chocolate crusted glaze. The whipped frosting was delicious as well, but about half way through the cake he felt it was too much sweetness and scraped it off. We also had a black truffle focaccia bread that was Devine! A nice savory bread with a terrific crust and very spongy/springy texture. Also had a couple drinks that were recommended by other yelpers, highly recommend. read more
I've been planning on a trip to T55 ever since Susu closed in ID. Although Bothell is a little out of the way for those of us in Seattle, I'd say the trip to T55 is very much worth it. The line outside seemed long but the staff were kind and helpful; they started taking our drink orders while we were in line. Think we'd be back very soon! Here's what we ordered: - Yuzu caramel latte: the caramel balances the yuzu very well in this latte; it was tangy but not sour. My partner loved this drink. - Pandan matcha latte: I loved this drink -- it was pandan forward, and offered a light grassy sweetness that complemented the matcha. The pandan especially shone after bites of savory pastries. - Strawberry matcha choux: blew our minds!! We'd go back to T55 weekly for this. The caramel wafer base, matcha crème diplomat, and the choux itself came together for a phenomenally flavorful and texture-filled bite. - Black truffle goat cheese focaccia: smelled so good and was our second favorite thing in our order!! - Beef keema khachapuri: generous portions of beef; well balanced flavors. - Basque cheesecake: fully creamy; converted my partner into a basque cheesecake appreciator. read more
The Juneteenth holiday made it a perfect day for me to finally try T55 Patisserie. This is a place that only opens for a few hours and always have a long line. BUT it didn't disappoint! Even though we wanted to try everything we mainly grabbed the sweet stuff. The servers/owner came out and helped with drinks ordering which made the process a bit faster. It is still under renovation so there's no dine in but there are a few tables outside of the bakery. #1 for me: Croissant pull apart where it is a deconstructed croissant with extra crunch and sweetness! #2: the flower is a piece of art where you can see the highly skilled chef executed the hundreds layers of laminated dough. The cinnamon babka roll is a bit too sweet for me but the cream cheese filling is so delicious! The matcha rice tart has subtle flavor with perfect tart crust. Go there around 9:45am so you can be almost the first in line! read more

T55 did NOT disappoint and the wait was worth it! I arrived about 15 minutes before the store opened on a Saturday and there were about 10 people in front of me. Once the store opened, there was an employee taking drink orders. I like that there are seasonal drinks. Here's what I ordered: Yuzu caramel latte 5/5 - not too sweet and balanced well with all the flavors Durian financier (seasonal for LNY) 5/5 - this was by far my favorite. there was a WHOLE piece of durian inside. Perfect texture outside and inside Passion fruit coconut banana tart 4.5/5 - wish there was more passion fruit! The crust was amazing Guava cream cheese milk bread 4/5 - this tasted great as well! Wish that the ratio between cream cheese and milk bread was better. More cream cheese please!! Black truffle goat cheese focaccia 5/5 - strong truffle and goat cheese. Loved it. Could eat an entire tray of this!! Onion cheese khachapuri - I like that it came with an egg on top of it. Super flavorful As you enter the store, there's items for sale along the walls ie chocolate, matcha sets etc. Plenty of street parking around the area too. IMO the people who are disappointed don't get there early enough or get there too late and don't get to try everything. Not that I know about, but you can order drinks ahead of time while you're waiting in line and when you get close to the front you'll get your drinks.
Are they dog friendly?
It is not that type of establishment, but they have amazing pastries!
