Great little cafe in the Bothell area! My friend ordered the pistachio matcha which was so smooth and creamy. It was not overly sweet, which can be hard to find with flavored matcha! I got the salted ca phe for myself and it was delicious. As most Vietnamese coffee comes, it was pretty strong but also easy to drink cause of the sweet flavor that is paired to it. We are huge coffee drinkers and when we found this place on yelp, we had to try it as we were passing through Bothell! We ordered the banana pudding iced coffee, ube iced coffee, salted caramel coffee, an egg tart, 2 BBQ pork buns and a han and cheese bun. The salted caramel ice coffee is usually my go to drink and my husband typically prefers hot coffee with milk. We tried the flavors above and my favorite was the ube one and my husband loved the salted caramel. Our toddler inhaled the ham and cheese bun and egg tart! And we ate the BBQ pork buns. Everything was absolutely delicious! The service was friendly and prompt, the inside was clean and welcoming, the patio furniture was clean, the bathrooms were spotless and they even had chairs and tables for little kids. If we lived closer, we would frequent this place quite often. We definitely recommend stopping here for a snack and a delicious coffee! read more

I've been hearing rave after rave about how fresh the matcha from here was so I thought why not make the trek here? So on an unbearably hot Sunday afternoon around 2pm I decided to take a chance with my gas mileage and drive all the way from Aurora Ave to Bothell to finally give this place a try. This is on NE 185th St where I somehow grabbed shaded parking at under some trees, and is near Optum and Agave Cocina. It also shares space with Fresh Cuts which I believe is a barber shop. I couldn't tell when I went inside; the immediate interior is this bright area with several tables to the immediate right-hand side along with the counter which comes with some pastries like pineapple buns and egg tarts; the left-hand side is more seating and looked like it could double as both a waiting area for haircuts and seating for Fresh Cups; then the middle area looked like the way into the barber shop. Overall area was very quiet even with some music playing. Staff were very warm and patient, and definitely knew their stuff when I asked them about both their Vietnamese coffee and matcha options, both of which this place does a wide variety of. They were in general extremely accommodating and offered to remake my and other patrons' drinks if anything was amiss, in which for this case that definitely wasn't needed in any way! I got their banana pudding matcha, which is a hearty ceremonial matcha drink with a thicker-than-usual banana pudding layer on the top, takng up about 30% of the cup when filled to the brim. This was a little hard to eat because the cup was filled to the brim, but I was able to eat up a majority of the pudding before stirring the rest of it into the earthy, grassy and non-grainy matcha layer. You can clearly tell that the drinks are made with care, as it did take a little while to get out yet presentation-wise it's so worthy of both the IG feeds and the sensation you get when you get your first sip of just the matcha layer. Matcha layer itself isn't sweetened and in fact consists of just the matcha itself, which is a pretty smart idea given the banana pudding layer itself holds all that sweet. Banana pudding layer was a tad too thick so it's a good idea to eat some of it up before stirring it in. For a long 30+ minute drive from Beacon Hill to Aurora Ave along wth another 25+ minutes from Aurora Ave to Bothell, this matcha was actually worth going to! I'd only be back again if I was in the area, but I'd recommend here for some competitive matcha drinks! Now to give their Vietnamese coffee a try next time... read more

My friend and I were walking through Bothell, and decided to try this place. We really enjoyed our drinks! I got the pistachio matcha and my friend got the coconut matcha cloud. I was debating between two matchas and the barista let me try a sample of the cold foam so I could decide. It was very helpful. Our drinks were made to order and the pineapple bun was nicely toasted. I stopped by with a friend and got a black sesame matcha. When I was there, there was only one person behind the counter. As a result, it was a bit slow service wise. They do hand whisk their matcha. Compared to most matcha and drinks I've gotten without adjustments, it's not very sweet. I know some people can like that but I like my drinks sweeter. I learned about fresh cups through social media. It shares a space with a barber shop. There are some tables and counter seats. The primary parking is street parking, which does get full in that corner. The building its connected to has the oddest retail parking hours of 5pm-8pm. Finally more asian coffee shops in bothell! I think this place might owned by the same owner as fresh cuts next door? Parking could be challenging since it's located in bothell downtown. There were a few tables available inside. I ordered black seasame and viet coffee. The menu had no price though so I had no idea how much these were until i paid. First impression was that they put a lot of ice in the cup. Lol i feel like more than half of the cup was filled with ice which means less amount of drink. I really wanted to like this place but it's very mediocre matcha. I got these strawberry matcha and the salted caramel matcha. The matcha flavor is good but the overall drink needs some work. The matcha was a little grainy and felt like it was not blending well with the milk. The strawberry sauce was good but the salted caramel matcha barely tasted like salted caramel. Maybe I'll try it again in the future if they make some changes but won't be going out of my way to try it again. read more

They are still dialing in and tweaking but I find the staff friendly and the coffee very good. They have a nice balance where the condense milk doesn't over sweeten the coffee. Vietnamese coffee is made with a different bean than what most are use to. Robusta is almost twice as strong, thicker and more heavily bodied which cuts through the condense milk nicely. With all the coffee shops around I'm happy to see something different and Bothell can use more diversity let's keep things interesting around here. This isn't a plant review, I leaned into 5 star instead of 4 even though they are still working out their vision because from what I've experienced so far this place is worth supporting. read more

Wow this place sucked, the service was subpar (i work in coffee it is not hard to greet a customer and ask how their day is going when they come up to order) and most importantly THE MATCHA WAS AWFUL! genuinely the worst matcha i have ever had, me and my friend both had to go up and ask if there was any sweetener in the matcha which the employee replied "i'm not sure" and had to put some in both our drinks, we both found our drinks to be unfinishable. if you want good matcha go to bobae, will never return to Fresh Cups or recommend it. read more
