A little late, but I needed to show some love to the Pizza Plus on Vista and Los Altos. On Superbowl Sunday I called around noon to get my pizza order in early. They had time slots for how many orders they were taking in a specific time frame (genius) and I was able to pretty much pick my pick up time which was also awesome. I ordered a large combo pizza and a large order of fries. I think there was a miscommunication on what a large fry was, because normally when I get the wings I add on fries and they come in a medium pizza box, this time was just a styrofoam container. That was probably my fault and I needed to be specific, I know for next time. I got there right at my pick up time waited a few minutes to pay and by the time my card was ran my food was ready. I was pretty skeptical and thought that they might have just made all the orders well in advance and that my food would be cold. This was NOT the case. The fries were freshly made and super hot, and the pizza was hot and crispy. Nothing was soggy or cold, it all appeared to be just made. Everything tasted great and you really can't beat pizza plus fries when they are hot and freshly made. I just needed to give them a shout out today because on what I would think was the busiest pizza day of the year my food was hot, delicious, and ready within about 5 min of my pick up time. They told us pick up was going to be ready at 7:30pm (Lied with the numbers they had). I arrived on time and line was out the door. I was able to reach the register at 8:00pm and they told me it wouldn't be ready for another half hour. My time is very important! Just be honest from the beginning! read more

If you're getting take out don't wear anything you actually care about!! I just ordered a party pack for my daughters Birthday party (paid $120) and sent my son to pick it up and this is what happened just walking to the car after they handed him a stack of boxes. Why would you put wings in a pool of sauce in a cardboard box with holes in it?! As he was walking the wing sauce poured all down him burning him with the sauce and ruining a coat, shirt, new Nike sweatpants, and 3 day old Birkenstocks that were $170!!! Amazing amazing pizza place. We have a large baseball team, family and all. And they welcomed us with open arms. Food was amazing. Service was even better will always going come back and for sure. I've been a loyal customer of Pizza Plus for 20+ years, so it pains me to give them a 1 star review. Or at least give this specific location a 1 star review. The wings were definitely overcooked, dry and hard. The pizza crust was pretty much not even there. Their crust is usally thin but not like this!! We could see light thru it. The pepperoni was thicker!! It was like eating cheese and pepperoni and nothing else. We paid $40 for this medium pizza, wings & fries. I have never had an issue with PP, always had top notch food. But this was very, very disappointing. And I live 45 min away, so it's not like I could take it back and ask for better food. There was only 1 couple in the store when I placed the order, so it's not like it was super busy. Oh well. I just have stuck with the Oddie location. But I hope for a better experience next time. read more

Today was the first time I have ever been to Pizza Plus, and it definitely won't be the last. I definitely have to mention the service. Bryson and Loise (I could be messing up the spelling) were very friendly and had my pizza done in about 10 minutes tops. The restaurant was almost completely empty, and when I asked how their day had been, they said it had been slow. This makes sense considering it was around 2:00 PM on a Monday. Bryson mentioned that they had been cleaning most of the day since there wasn't much to do, and it showed. The place was spotless, all the tables and seats were clean and free of crumbs. The floor was clean as well, with no trash in sight. All the TVs were up and running, overall it was just very well put together. Bryson was kind enough to give me a HUGE portion of ranch in a full blown soup cup with a side of carrots and celery; I was only expecting a couple small ranch cups at most. The crust was crunchy, the cheese was stretchy and gooey, it was a great pizza. I'll definitely recommend this to friends and family, and maybe take my disc golf club from UNR here sometime after a round. 5 stars!!! read more

Went here for their pizza buffet. They use to have chicken wings in the buffet now they only have boneless chicken pieces. The pieces today were spicy and plain. They were both nice and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I like mine dipped in ranch. They had several pizza's in the buffet today. The thing I like about Pizza Plus is that the buffet also comes with the salad bar. I think they have the best ranch dip and wings anywhere in town. read more

I'm no Karen about that, however, this kid straight up hung up on me! He took my order said "it will be ready in 30 minutes" CLICK! We visited the restaurant in Sparks last week and were disappointed. We buy from P+ most of the time when we order takeout pizza and are always happy. When we ate in, not so much. There was only 1 employee at the front register dealing with orders and shortages. There were no plates, napkins or ketchup for the fries. The lemonade in the soda machine was water. The guy at the register handled the 'complaints' as best as he could and stayed calm even though he was clearly frustrated. I guess we'll stick to takeout. read more

I certainly won't ever do Pizza Plus again for Superbowl! We had made an order a week ahead and then called twice the day before to again confirm our order (mainly due to a previous issue with a large order and also because it was the Superbowl). We arrived 10 minutes before our scheduled time, very long wait (to be expected) but then to check out, a few minutes after reservation time, pizzas just being put in! it took our order 40 minutes past scheduled time to be complete. While offering a cookie, beer or chips may appease some for the delay, it didn't work for us. How about extra food, or a coupon for another time? The manager isn't equipped with the skill to manage large quantities.Why wouldn't you stop orders?? Very poor planning ! read more

Pizza plus is a Sparks classic, and is genuinely the best pizza delivery option in Sparks/Spanish Springs area. They treat customers very well, and care about your experience. Not much more you can ask from a local business. Realistically is a 4ish star, but feel they are unfairly rated so gave a 5. read more

Wow loved the pizza. Very similar taste to round table which we love. Very comparable. The wings were great and the steak fries were really good. I'm glad we tried this spot and will certainly be going back to enjoy it more often. Move over round table you have competition!!!! read more

Well, due to my only experience at this pizza plus location I'm sorry to say I probably will never come back to this location. I work close to here so I really wanted their wings. I've always loved pizza plus wings. Even when I was a kid my dad would take us to a pizza plus and we would always get the wings. Well I called in my order and I got off work and went there to pay and pick up, it was super busy. There was a kids baseball game that ended and they were all there. Well I payed and I waited and waited and waited. After 40 mins of waiting I finally asked if my order was going to come out and the gal went back and brought my order and said it was sitting there already ready to pick up. Well the guy that took my payment just forgot to go back and check to see where my order was. The whole time he saw that I was standing there waiting and he still didn't even ask me or went to check on my order which was ready to pick up. Grrrrrrrr 40 mins!!!!!!! Pizza plus is your typical local pizza place. Overall it is really good. I love that they offer things other than just pizza. They also have wings (below average) French fries, garlic fries, chicken fingers (highly recommend the hot sauce it is not TOO hot, but just right), fried zucchini, and fried pickles. This place is usually packed on Friday and Saturday nights just FYI. Also highly recommend their ranch. read more

We have been ordering from these guys for a very long time. The last 4-5 times the wings were like rubber, fries are over cooked and hard, pizza was dry. We always order extra sloppy wings which cost extra and every time they have been dry. This last time the guy who answered the phone was so short and sounded like he really hates his job. When we got the store for pick up because they had no delivery person the guy gave us our receipt to sign and then walked away. He didn't even give us a chance to say goodbye. After several chances we will no longer order from here which is too bad since they used to be pretty good. read more

I've been here a couple of times and the food is good and the staff is nice. On this particular night I had phoned in my large order they said it would be about 45 minuets. No problem I waited 45 minuets and then drove to pick it up paid for my order and they told me it was going to be just a couple more minuets. OK. I was told a few more minuets several times I waited 45 minuets in the store and I finally told them that I am very patient but I was starting to loose it. When the guy brought my order out he gave me a receipt and told me "I've already refunded your entire order. We are very sorry for your inconvenience, please enjoy your dinner." I am a loyal customer of pizza plus. I tried this location this past Saturday 12/19, called in the order at 5:30pm, I was told it would be ready for pick up at 6pm. I walk in at 6:05, waited for about 20 mins in line (normal due to COVID) when I got to the register, my order was still not ready. Paid and waited.... and waited.... and waited... another 20mins when by. I asked and my order was still not ready. About 6 others that where in line with me had left already. I asked the lady for my order and still was not ready. The manager wanted me to get back in line to "order or pick up" LOL I told him it had been more than an hr since I was told my order would be ready. Employees were running around from left to right and right to left not being efficient at all while my pizza sat there... ready, when I finally received my order I checked and sure enough... you guessed it. The pizza was starting to get cold. This place lacks leadership, the management skills of the manager needs major improvements, this place can go south very easily if the management team does not align with the demand and perform in a more timely and efficient way. This review is just on there wings, not there pizza. There wings have been a favorite of mine for years. I love the mild sauce. It has great flavor, but not alot of spice. There mild sauce is not vinegar based, but has a nice rich flavor that stays with you. The only negative is, the wings are getting smaller and smaller. Frogs legs look bigger. I think they buy there wings from oompa luumpa chicken farms. These wings are small, but delicious. read more

This place is a constant circus. It seems as there is no management. Wait times are obscene. We will no go back, despite being regulars and putting up with the issues mentioned above. The reason we will never go back is because someone added a tip to my wife's credit card receipt for a carry out order. My wife is diligent about her account and kept the receipt, which showed no tip. Brought it to supervisor's attention. Got a credit for the next order. It's still on the account. The one star is for the one hot item. The pizza was warm-ish-hot. The chicken fingers and two orders of fries were cold. The veggies that accompanied the combo were actually frozen and had mold on the carrots. I don't have high expectations for Pizza Plus but the food should be at least semi hot when you're early for pick up.
