    Heart shaped cheese pizza

Today I ordered a heart shape pizza for my mom for Mother's Day when I got the heart shape pizza to surprise my mom. But She was surprised when she opened the heart shaped pizza and found the back filled with mold. What a disappointment on Mother's Day. Don't ever order from this place if you want Food poisoning.

This Papa John's location is excellent. My husband and I were in the mood for inexpensive pizza on a Friday night, and we ordered an XL 2-topping for $12 with a $2 tip. What an excellent deal! The only other location in town is in South Reno, so we are glad that there is one in northeast Sparks. We placed our order online, and we were impressed by how easy it was to customize our pizza. The design of the web app on the site was the best I've seen: I was *delighted* by the graphics of each of the toppings that we selected "falling down" onto our pizza as we chose them. My husband and I spent some time debating between "sausage" and "spicy Italian sausage," so we got to experience the graphic multiple times. Our piping-hot pizza was ready for pick-up in 20 minutes. The employee working the front desk was super friendly. Stone Temple Pilot's 1994 jam "Interstate Love Song" was on the in-store radio, which made these millenials happy. Our pizza was delicious, and we both ate three slices. Four slices remain for Saturday snacking. We will be back! Now we understand how tucked in this shopping plaza this Papa John's is. It's on the far east side of the plaza, almost by Sparks Blvd, and to the left of Flowing Tide. There's a surprising among of foliage nearby. We saw a mama duck on our way in!

This was our first time ordering papa John's as we live in northwest Reno and have plenty of pizza options up here that are locally owned or a chain. We choose to support local especially during this CODID-19 pandemic. My sister recommended papa johns as their pizza and sides have always looked good and said they tasted good. I wish that was our experience but as you can tell by the photos it was not. Our 3 pizza's were filled with grease. I took some breadsticks out to show just how greasy this was, you can see a pool of grease in the corner. Our poppers were dry and had a weird smell to them. My sister lives in fernley so a wait time can't be from this with how ours were. We spent $81 on a local business just to be disappointed. I would expect in hard times like this local companies especially would want to make sure their customers orders are edible. Not sure how to reply to the owner but my sister has ordered the exact same thing with hers not being this greasy. This is not a corporate issue. If you pride yourself in being a local and a local is having an issue, don't push them off to corporate. Take care of the issue within your local business and take care of your locals like they do to you.

We've been here numerous times, and it is long overdue that I give them the five stars they deserve. The Vibe & Hospitality tucked away in the corner of a shopping center on Los Altos, this is the definition of a true locals' spot. The history here is incredible--the owner, Jim, relocated and rebuilt this business after losing everything in the Paradise Camp Fire. That "rising from the ashes" spirit is reflected in the hospitality. Jim is constantly making rounds to ensure everyone feels welcome. If you get a visit from him at your table, you'll see exactly why this place has so much soul. Jen the manager is also amazing and consistently ensures the service is fantastic. The Patio & Pet-Friendly atmosphere the patio is a great space and is very pet-friendly. We've brought our beagle, Bodhi, and Jim even made a point to come out and say hello to him personally. Those small touches are what turn a restaurant into a favorite. The Food & Drinks the menu is top-tier. A few standouts from our many visits: * The Deep Dish Pizza: A total showstopper. When it hits the table, it literally turns heads across the entire restaurant. It requires a 45-minute prep time, but it is absolutely worth the wait. * Burgers & French Dip: The burger is easily one of the best in the Reno/Sparks area, and the French Dip is amazing. * The Wings: Often wings are just an afterthought, but these are really, really good. * The Bar: They have a solid craft beer selection (the flights are a must) and their Aperol Spritz and French 75 are perfectly executed. Whether you are looking for a great aesthetic, a lively sports bar energy, or just a high-quality meal, this is the spot. Support this local business--you won't regret it.

It feels like the kind of place that works best if you're bringing kids, letting them play in the arcade, and making it more of an outing than just grabbing food. That said, the service was pretty slow. Even though it didn't seem very busy, it took around 30-40 minutes to get the food after calling it in, which felt a bit long. The pizza itself reminded me a lot of Shakey's because it use to be one, which was nostalgic and pretty good overall. But for the price, it did taste a little on the cheaper side and wasn't especially exciting. The biggest disappointment was the mojo potatoes. I was looking forward to them, but they came out greasy and tasted like they may have been cooked in older oil, so I didn't really enjoy them. Overall, Boulevard Pizza is decent if you're going for the family/arcade experience, but I probably wouldn't think of it as a great takeout or delivery-style pizza place. The surrounding area also feels a little rough, which may be worth keeping in mind depending on when you go.

But if you're like me & value your time, expect good communication, & want a pizza that actually has a generous amount of cheese, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I truly regret stopping here when I did. I only came in to ask if they sold pizza by the slice. They do, but no one informed me that the slices still needed 10-12 minutes before they could be served. They were sitting in the display case looking ready, so I naturally assumed they were available. Had I known about the wait, I would have made a different decision because I had a teen & a toddler waiting for me in the car. While waiting, I went next door to the dry cleaner for about 10 minutes. When I returned, I still had to wait another 5 minutes just for the 2 slices to finish heating. At that point, I decided to order a whole pizza instead, thinking it would be quicker since I was the 1st customer in line. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes. I went back to my car, waited 25 minutes, & returned to find my pizza still wasn't ready. Meanwhile, the group of 4 customers who ordered after me was already sitting at a table enjoying their pizza. I then watched another pizza being cut, assuming it was finally mine, but it was for that same group. I waited another 5 minutes before the employee simply said, "Sorry, yours is almost done." By this point, my "15-20 minute" wait had turned into about 35 minutes while my children sat waiting for me in a hot car. I let the employee know how unreasonable that was for a to-go order. Orders should be prepared in the sequence they're received, especially when someone has already been waiting that long. To make matters worse, when I finally got back to my car & opened the box, I was shocked. This was my 1st time ordering here, & the pizza had barely any cheese on it. After waiting 35 minutes, I expected a fresh, quality pizza, not one that looked like they were trying to save every last bit of cheese. The lack of communication, the excessive wait, & the disappointing quality made this a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Since I was in a hurry to leave out of town, I did not bother to take pictures of the pizza with just tomato sauce lol I owe you all this pic. Until next review.
