Well we ended up coming back here after another visit to Idaho. We arrived and had to wait a little while to allow the pit to get warmed up or refired as I believe they worded it. We were able to order drinks and bruschetta while we waited. The bruschetta came with 3 different kinds. "Select 3 options to personalize your platter: classic tomato & basil, marinated artichoke, roasted red pepper & ricotta." I really liked the classic tomato and basil the best. Coming in 2nd was the roasted red pepper & ricotta. The marinated artichoke was good but came in 3rd on my scale. Added some balsamic and oil to it and it was FIRE!!! We ordered the Don and Chicken Caesar salad again. The hot honey tasted delicious on the pizza. Everything was good. We LOVE their Pizza. read more

We can talk all day about how great the menu is at Grimaldi's but let's not forget the workers that we interact with. Yesterday I was helped by Emma. I placed my order around 2:15pm not realizing they stoke their ovens at 3:00pm. This pushed my order to 4:30pm ish. I gave them a call and without explaining she realized the problem and reached out to her manager/team to help me out. I thought at first maybe a glitch in the system but she let me know why my pizzas would take so long and then escalated the situation. Just want to say thank you, I don't expect to be treated like royalty but when you take the time to make others feel important and understand situations to improve the happiness of your customers, you will always be a 5 star in my book. Grimaldi's is one of the better pizza spots in Reno. I typically order the traditional pizza for delivery and it's consistently good every time I order. My family and I love the wood-fired flavor. I also like that they have 3 different sizes because the larger pizzas have HUGE slices and are definitely enough to share. They also always follow my order instructions when I add extra toppings which I really appreciate. One time my order was taking longer than expected so I called, and they were honestly super nice about it. They explained what happened, made sure my pizza was still fresh, and were really attentive on the phone. I've actually never been inside the restaurant, but from all my delivery orders and the phone conversation, they seem to genuinely care about quality and customer service even on busy days. read more

We have these in Vegas, yet this one is the best we have had. Hub came in for his birthday pizza. We ordered a sixteen inch with Italian sausage. I have a love - hate relationship with Grimaldi, but I always go back for more, because I like their wine & food! Last night, we decided to go give it a try! We like to ride our bikes over to the restaurant. I was greeted by the hostess, who was a lovely gal that gave me no excuses when I asked if I could be seated outside, she responded "absolutely, come right this way! She let me pick my table and she even cleaned it for us. Wow, the night is starting out good! Next we were greeted by the waitress who was also a lovely gal and very personable so far I'm super happy being here! It's wine Tuesday's and you get 50% off a bottle of wine. We always get the Sangiovese and they were out so the waitress recommended the red blend and it was actually cheaper and just as good! Next we order the Green Apple Salad without walnuts (I'm allergic) and add bacon, it's the old spinach salad that use to be on the menu! I'm clever for improvising when I miss something they took off the menu. We also ordered our favorite pizza 12inch, The Dom extra crispy which is perfect for two people with a slice each for lunch tomorrow. My salad & pizza were perfect along with the service and the wine! Thank you to the management for hiring these gals and to the cooks for making my pizza crispy and easy to eat!! The pizza was good, but according to the style of pizza and the pictures on the menu, our pizza came out more blond than expected. Maybe next time I need to order it well done, but if it came out like the pictures in the menu that might be burnt. Our server seemed very concerned with not rushing us and wanted to give us plenty of time to consider our order, but it would have been nice if she slowed down for a minute and asked us if we had any questions. Her time at the table was very short, in and out, she was not rude, but I guess she had other priorities. We really liked the look of the restaurant. Nice touches with the brick and burnt wood. Went for appetizers after a movie today. Sat right away at the bar. Our server was prompt and friendly in taking our order and we had a short wait for our food. Can I give no stars? I'm grossed out after our last date lunch here. The current/new manager walks around nervously biting his nails in the dining room. We've been coming here for 5+ years and celebrated family bdays and events...but no longer, this is nasty. Makes you wonder what's happening in the back of the house. Having worked in restaurants for over a decade, at high end steak houses, I can assure y'all that's not the recommended behavior for sanitary conditions. Not sure when he took it over as manager but I didn't notice him years ago. We never had a complaint before. Not sure his name but looks like a skinny version of Loyd from Dumb an Dummer. We started seeing him more a year ago and it was oddly timed to our favorite server being canned. We asked for Lauryn several times and were told the manager fired her. That was shocking since she was always so great, remembering our name and pizza order...nothing like the nervous energy in there now. It was sad enough that she's not there to greet us but this "Loyd" led us to other options in that shopping mall and with the kids' events. We've loved Aleworks in the brewery district for excellent wood fired pizza. They're pretty new but rocking rooftop deck in the summer, home brews and awesome Zaa. My server is nice, quickly greeted us, served us drinks , pizza is good , not as greasy. My last visit it was very greasy. This time around the pizza is better. One of the pizza came out missing one topping, the server apologized and brought out new correct order. The crust was crunchy, some are hard... not edible. Not deal breaker. Overall it's good. The service is good. The place is not bad, but packed. The dealer breaker is the space in between tables, wish it a little spaced out. A lovely, 1920s-30s New York City themed restaurant with the classic red-white checked tablecloths delivers a very thin crust with tasty toppings. We ordered the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza and the Tuscan Veggie Pizza with added chicken. The Prosciutto and Arugula had a nice crispiness and flavor to it especially with a sprinkle of parm. The Tuscan Veggie was flavorful and the added chicken was cooked perfectly. The apple walnut salad, however, was a little heavy-handed on the vinaigrette and the apples were cut in chunks not sliced. Also, the walnuts usually have a spice on them, but these were just plain and very few. Overall, the atmosphere is fun and vintage inspired, the pizza is solid but skip the salad. read more

I went here with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. Even though the place was busy, we were promptly seated. Our server arrived shortly thereafter. She was very nice and explained the menu to us and took our beverage order while we perused the menu. When she took our order, I asked her what size salad we should get to share. She recommended the small salad. It was the perfect size. The lettuce was fresh and the dressing was tasty. It also had a lot of nice toppings. We also ordered their large springtime pizza which was basically a combination pizza. I have to say I was a little disappointed when the pizza arrived. The crust was nice and thin, which I liked. But the sauce and toppings ended about 2 inches from the edge of the crust. They also could've used more sauce on the pizza as it was a little dry. The ambience is nice. The restaurant was very clean and there was an abundance of staff to make sure your needs were met. Our lunch wasn't cheap. My husband had a glass of wine and I had a diet Pepsi. We shared a salad and the large pizza. I also ordered a dessert to go. The bill with tip was almost $100. That seemed a little excessive. We've been to Grimaldi's before and always enjoyed it, but this was our first time trying their lunch special. We had three slices of pizza with two toppings total and a bottle of their cheapest wine -- everything tasted great. The pizza was fresh, the wine was decent, and the service was fantastic. We really enjoy going to Grimaldi's. It's always a fun experience for the kids and we enjoy trying the new pizza items. Lately our favorite has been the hot honey pepperoni pizza. It's just the amount of spicy and sweet to complement the uncured pepperoni. The kids are still in the cheese, pizza phase, and they enjoy the Ratto they get to play with as we wait for the pizzas. The only downside is if you're coming with the family, you need to make a reservation, which isn't the end of the world but large families are a little more challenging to be accommodated later in the evening. That being said, the staff is extremely nice and we've only had one issue where we weren't able to dine due to having no reservation. If you enjoy that East Coast cold Rick oven style pizza this is your jam. It's a thin crust with a nice toasty undercarriage. read more

The crust is very thin and maybe this crust was overcooked as it was hard and crunchy. Not much to say about the toppings because it felt like it was a slice of cheese on top. Stopped by this New York-style pizza restaurant on a busy Tuesday night and it had such a great vibe. The place was clean, lively, and classy packed with people but still comfortable and well-run. The staff handled the crowd smoothly and provided friendly service throughout our visit. I started with a mojito, which was decent not bad but not amazing. But the highlight was definitely The Don pizza. It was delicious fresh, flavorful, and had that perfect crisp crust with quality toppings. Been a customer for years but Friday night we ordered a pepperoni pizza and another pizza to be delivered and the entire meal was completely raw dough in the middle. Per my last review and experience, I was reached out to and offered a comped meal by Manager Hayley. Service was much better this time- friendly, timely, and routinely checking in not just with us, but with those around us. We went for a late lunch instead of dinner this time, and in terms of noise levels and crowds it was a lot better. The food was great! We really enjoyed the variety of flavours with the bruschetta trio, and the salad was really good- it had been a while since I've had a nice salad! The pizzas were nice and hearty, and felt pretty clean- I'm usually prone to heartburn after just a slice of pizza that's too greasy, but this one was great. My kids ordered the cheese pizza and they ate everything including the crust which they rarely do! My niece got the option of gluten free crust with Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken and she finished everything as well. We got the large lemon arugula salad. Finally got to try this place out and I built my own pizza. I ordered a 12 inch pizza with pesto sauce. The toppings I chose were pepperoni, sundried tomatoes, and baby spinach. My pizza turned out pretty delicious! They do have a pretty thin crust. It's nice to watch them make the pizza and see it in the brick oven. It's too bad the build your own pizza can become quite expensive because you have to pay for each topping. It would be nice if you could choose one topping included with the price, but oh well. First time here and to be honest, don't think I'm gonna go back. On the plus side what I did like was they had wine that is matched to the type of pizza that it goes with on the menu so that was pretty cool. 80% of their menu is some sort of alcoholic concoction that a lot of of them looked absolutely yummy. Now for the bad part. When we were seated, the hostess really didn't greet us or smile she just saw there was two of us in the Winton said here's your table walked away and then a few minutes later a male server comes up and doesn't really say a lot about the menu. The only actual interaction that I had was what I was going to order apparently is only available during certain hours, which yes I should've looked closer, but I didn't. So we ended up getting the small Don's pizza which is about the size of a dinner plate, which is fine because I don't eat a lot, but the crust had zero flavor to it, the meat was burnt along with part of the crest and it was the majority of it on half of the pizza and it was not a half-and-half pizza. It was supposed to be just one flavor. I ordered the Mediterranean salad which the chunks of lettuce were so big that it was very messy to eat and didn't have a lot of flavor. And the kind of charcuterie board I can't remember what the actual name of it is was a mess as best I can say it. They had a little bit of prosciutto. They had a little bit of salami and then they had like a handful of Gorgonzola cheese just like dropped on there a sliced apple a handful of walnuts. The strawberries were not ripe and the other cheese they had on there. I don't know what it was but it was just plain nasty. So if you wanna go for the booze, I recommend it but not impressed with the food at all especially with the three things that were ordered and one beer came to $75! If you're looking for an upscale pizza place or just missing New York City, then Grimaldi's is your spot. We ordered the "Don", it was quite tasty with pepperoni, Italian sausage and meatballs . The pizza was served hot and placed on the table rack. The crust was thin which I like but not as crispy as one might expect. Have a fork ready. The sausage, meatballs and pepperoni were not evenly dispersed on the entire pie. This left a couple of inches of just crust. Our waitress was very personable and attentive. I am very disappointed with my dine-in on 07/12/2025. Our waiter was GREAT! However, I am disappointed at the length of time it took to receive our pizzas (the restaurant wasn't even packed), as well as the negative energy, attitude and disrespect the manager Stephanie was giving off to all of the employees. First, we noticed that NOONE in the restaurant were getting pizzas. However, everytime we saw a pizza come out of the oven it was for a to go order. Every single pizza that came out was not for dine-in tables. This lasted for almost 45 minutes. After they got out all of their to go orders, that's when we noticed tables slowly get their food. There was a table behind us that were there before us and decided to walk out because they waited FAR TOO LONG. Lastly, the manager Stephanie, made it a VERY TOXIC environment for all employees. It was also very uncomfortable for patrons as well. We constantly heard her cussing at her employees, walking past our table or walking away from other tables. She consistently bullied her employees by getting in their faces, inches away from their face, with a threatening demeaner. You could tell that all employees would try to avoid her area she'd stand in or freeze up and walk a different route. She would talk to an employee in a negative tone and then return to an area where she would make faces, mock the employee or tell someone else what she (Stephanie) thought another employee did wrong. At one point, a waitress let her know that the table behind me got up and left. Stephanie made it known out loud that she didn't care about that situation and instead went off on the employee for bringing it to her attention. I have been to your location numerous times throughout the years and have never had such HORRIBLE experiences. Or, felt sorry for employees this much. Our waiter was AWESOME! (hostess, to go staff, and other waitress/waiters did great too). This location is hit or miss. Sometimes it's good sometimes it's bad. Sometimes you'll wait an hour for a pizza sometimes you won't. They're also pretty inconsistent with customizations. Sometimes I'll order light sauce and get barely any, sometimes it's the perfect amount, and sometimes they ignore my request completely and put tons of it. I do like the specials they have with slice and salad combo. The Oreo cheesecake is always delicious. At this point I can say I only go here when I'm offered a coupon in the app or have a free birthday pizza. This location is just very inconsistent. read more
