Yelp, you've disappointed me! We were looking for some tasty pizza after a day of wine tasting and unfortunately, we had only a couple of slices and regretted it all evening! The crust was soggy and at the same time, the the toppings were dry...yes, weird I know. It also had only a sprinkling of cheese and copious amounts of raw onion and bell peppers which made for an unpleasant pie. Our first and only time, clearly. :( read more

My dad called 2 pizzas so that my mom could pick them up. I ordered the cheese and my parents ordered a veggie. The cheese pizza was great. They made the pizza crust homemade and they even put sesame seeds on the crust. I got to say that this is a good place, but it's not perfect. I still enjoyed the pizza and the flavor was great. I ordered a large pepperoni mushroom sausage with extra cheese and we'll done. I was not disappointed! It was ready exactly when they said it was. And when I got home, the crust was a combination of crispy and fluffy soft. The perfect ratio for a tasty pizza. The clincher was the addition of sesame seeds to the crust! Our first time trying pizza planet and it did not disappoint. The woman on the phone was so kind, courteous, patient with me while I ordered. We are from out of town and stopped here because of the reviews. I think most people order to take home or delivery. We ordered for dine in and it was horrifying. We paid first and then sat to wait for our order. The whole staff looks dirty. Girls hair is all over the place. One girl brought our pizza to the table with huge acrylic nails stuffed of our pizza. It was so disgusting. I will never come back. The food department needs to pay them a visit. read more

Wowie. We ordered two Giant pizzas for a dual adult birthday party with about 18 people. We had no idea they were so big. We could have ordered one and still had enough for everyone. That being said, we called in the order and when I showed up it was just coming out of the oven. They were massive! That's always fun, to know you have way more pizza than you need. Leftovers!!! We had a veggie and a bbq chicken. They were both cooked perfectly. The dough was this great two layer twisted job that was light, fluffy, crispy outside, and just delicious. The veggie was great, good topping distribution and fresh veggies. The bbq chicken was more my style and super tasty. It was great hot and just as good cold. We asked them to cut the pizza into squares instead of slices which they happily did and that made it easier to eat as a group and more fun too. The place inside is small, just a few tables, but it's for sure a call-in, pick it up and go home kind of place. Seems like they do a good business fueling the kids and families playing baseball on the field by the post office too, so that's a nice idea. I've been getting pizza from this family for around 22 years. I don't often eat pizza, anymore, but when I do...... The service is prompt, courteous and friendly, and they get the orders right. In terms of the food quality, they appear to use first-rate ingredients, serve generous portions and, just as importantly, know how to construct a delicious, balanced pie. It's not about how it tips the scales, rather, it's about how it tastes. I recently sampled a new competitor and was appalled by the ridiculous ratios of the ingredients. The staggering amount of artichoke heart they dumped on the thing overwhelmed it to the point that I wondered if there was sauerkraut in the box. To me, this was an indication of either inexperienced, or thoughtless kitchen staff. The meats were of a quality I'd expect from a Slim Jim. Blech! So, long story short, I'm sticking with Pizza Planet for flavor, consistency, value and service. Whenever I have a friend visiting and they suggest pizza, it's where we go and everyone raves. Just traveling through (at a nearby hotel) and Yelped 'Pizza' for dinner for the family. Reviews here were great, the pictures grabbed my attention with the sesame seeds sprinkled on the crust. We ended up getting a 16 inch pepperoni pizza (ate EVERY bite!). The employees were more than accommodating, giving us paper plates, forks, napkins etc. They were super nice too. All in all it was a great experience and the pizza was fabulous. Why hasn't anyone else put sesame seeds on THEIR crust? LOVE promoting family businesses! We'll be back, before ya know it. I usually avoid businesses with the word planet in them (planet fitness, jerky planet, planet playa). But I'm glad I gave this place a try. On our drive back from enjoying pancakes in Solvang, my wife and kids said let's get pizza because it's the one meal we can all agree on. I jumped on Yelp and Pizza Planet popped up and I said f-it! since we're killing this planet might as well visit one made out of pizza. When we arrived were greeted by their friendly staff (they look just like humans), who pointed out the special, we order it and a combo. On this planet of pizza they accepted my American Dollar, because plastic card technology was giving them problems (they pointed this out when I arrived on their planet). Well, let me tell you this pizza is good, it's got a tasty sauce, fresh toppings and a outer crust our planet would approve of. My wife and kids also approved.
