The size of the medium was rather small for a medium, so I'll opt for a large next time. So, we ordered quite a bit from here for our first order: grilled chicken sandwich w/ fries, california burger w/ fries, 10" pepperoni pizza, sweet corn bites, brownie and cheesecake. Yum! Problem started pretty quickly though. Despite us ordering online, with the address written, they came to the wrong place. So we got our meal about 10-15 minutes late. Hey, no biggie, it happens, even though the food was a bit colder than we'd like. Wife opened her sandwich - she had 15 fries. That's... kinda funny. First thing she said was "wait, that's all the fries they gave me?" But hey, no biggie on that either, they must have just tossed in a bunch. It wasn't a lot, but we got a lot of food! I open the pizza - it's a cheese pizza. Come on, now. I call to tell them they gave me the wrong pizza. The guy offers me a new pizza, or a "discount" next time. I say, no thanks, can we just get the pepperoni pizza? They come out for it - but won't give it until we give them the old pizza. To make sure that we're not faking it. That's just the last straw, to be honest. I mean, you bring us cold food, skimp on fries, give us the wrong pizza, then demand proof (and the guy took it back with him too. I imagine to throw away rather than have given an extra pizza, considering it was their mistake). For what it's worth, the food that we actually did get was pretty good, if a bit cold. Yelp did not steer me wrong. I had no idea Pizza Man existed, and after reading the yelp reviews I decided to give it a chance. It's since become my regular pizza place. What's great about their pizzas are the quality of the ingredients. Each slice that you pick up has oozing, melted cheese that shows how high quality their mozzarella is. Also, they are generous with their toppings! AND their tomato sauce is top notch, unlike many of the larger chains that have really sickeningly sweet tomato sauce; theirs tastes like real ripened tomatoes. I usually get the deluxe pizza with jalapenos, or a pizza with mushrooms, olives, and garlic, and both are really delicious. Their chicken wings are also phenomenal and are doused in sauce. Dip those in some ranch and include a fantastic pizza, and you have yourself a tasty freaking meal. The cost is comparable to other pizza joints. It is located in a small shopping center that has limited parking but is never packed - I've never had a hard time finding parking. Their delivery is also super reliable. My fiancé and I were watching the laker game, and were too lazy to cook or eat out. We decided to order delivery, and it was really fast! We ordered at 6:40, and it arrived at 7:05, I believe. The delivery guy was really polite, too! We ordered the meat lovers pizza. I am a pizza snob, and I absolutely loved it! Perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and toppings. The crust was bomb-diggity! I wanted to eat more, but my stomach couldn't handle anymore food. Pizza - 5 stars! We also got the BBQ Boneless Chicken Wings meal, and it was okay - per my fiancé. He actually had to add more bbq sauce bc it was lacking. The fries looked a little soggy, so I didn't care to try it. The salad was untouched, and I will pack it up for lunch tmrw! (Haha) Wings & fries - 3 stars Mozzarella sticks are my weakness. I saw it on the menu, had to get 'em. The breading was thick and really good! Seasoned pretty well. Let me first state that I am firmly a deep dish pizza girl, which Pizza Man doesn't offer. That said, we ordered a pizza and it was delivered well within the promised delivery time (yay!), bonus because it meant we didn't have to leave the house. The crust was really good. Like I said, I like deep dish, but this was a nice regular style crust. I liked that it was not greasy, other than normal "there is cheese on this" greasy. The toppings were a bit on the skimpy side, but very delicious. Would I order again? If we needed dinner delivered, yes! However it wouldn't be my first choice, just because I prefer deep dish. But my family enjoyed dinner! I did take one star off the review because we felt the toppings were a bit skimpy. So, more times than not, no one is there, or something? Kind of weird, right? And one of the 3 times we called they were "out" of several items. Could only order pizza, but even then didn't have all toppings. Which happens, but come on now?! I think we would have given up on this place if we hadn't had a taste of their burgers! I work right across the street from this place and it is definitely a go to while at work and when I'm home. Everything on the menu is delicious. We always get their pizza at work and you won't go wrong with whichever one you order. I also tried the crispy chicken sandwich and I was speechless. Breaded chicken that was baked in a roll with some pizza man sauce definitely gets a 10/10. Customer service is great here too. Everyone treats you well, they are quick with making the food, and always have suggestions so you're not stuck there staring at the menu. The pizza bread was so good the first time, the family wanted more the next day so we had Pizza Man two days in a row. Next time, I will try the pasta with olive oil and mushroom. I ordered a X-Large Pepperoni Pizza this last weekend and it was awesome! In fact I just ate an early lunch somewhere else and had to stop by just to thank them and pick something up for later. This is a take out/delivery place but Chuck or one of the other guys will get it to you in a timely manner. Their is limited seating inside which would be the way to have a fresh burger. I've had one or two good experiences with the food here but tonight was probably my last time ordering from this place. The staff is generally very nice, so no complaints there... This is strictly about the food. We ordered the 2 medium pizzas and 6-piece of fried chicken deal. The pizza was horrendous. The bottom of the crust was burnt and also separated from the middle which was doughy and pretty much undercooked. There was virtually no cheese and very little toppings to be found. I've had frozen pizza that put these pies to shame. Then there was the chicken. While the meat was good, the breading was like stale cardboard. It didn't help that I asked for a side of garlic parmesan and got a side of melted butter instead. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me three or four times, shame on me and spread the word. Don't bother with this place! ***** Update - 7/15/16 ***** We finally decided to take them up on their offer to make up for last time. Jack was super cool and honored the special from the previous order even though it doesn't exist anymore. As ALWAYS, the customer service was excellent! The initial ETA of 35-45 minutes turned into an hour and fifteen minutes. However, we didn't care and the food arrived hot and fresh. Pizza Man As someone who eats a lot of pizzas (about 2/3 per week), I must say that these guys at Pizza Man are truly "The Men". Why is this review so long? Because it took me SO long to finally find the right place. Family like Environment: When you walk into the store, you can see right away they treat you with respect and love. That's far more important than the food itself because that goes to show they make their food with love. Quality: It's unique and fresh. No other words to be said. This is one of the ONLY places that I know, besides Whole Food and some other fresh markets, that I don't ever feel bloated after eating. The crew acts like food-scientists. Vegetables: They must be treating the cutting, slicing, and chopping process of the vegetables so delicately to make them taste so fresh. Never have I tasted vegetables and their flavors so distinctly as pizza toppings. Meat, cheese and the dough: Everything feels fresh and new. No wonder a couple of times in the past upon ordering, they have been out of material. I don't take that as a sign of carelessness or negligence. They are extremely organized people. I think the problem with the food industry is 'over-freezing' the produce. That explains why in most of the restaurant we experience the disgusting after-taste we might experience in some restaurants. In-N-Out: No offense to In-N-Out across the street. I LOVE In-N-Out. However, if people who are waiting in line for In-N-Out (sometimes up to an hour) only knew the fresh taste of Pizza Man's burgers and the quality of their fresh meat, they wouldn't think twice about their choice of burgers. I was shocked to find out that Pizza Man could make such delicious, juicy, fresh Burgers. The meat MELTS in your mouth. It's inexplicable. Fries: A lot of people don't eat fries because it has been soaked in a pot of disgusting oil. Just try their fries and be the judge yourselves. It's literally the best tasting fries. Customer Service: If they mess up on your order, which they won't, they will take full responsibility for it. When you ask for double or either 'triple' of an ingredient, unlike most of the places, they actually care about the specifics of your order. These people understand timing and they're never off. The design: They don't 'throw' the toppings on the dough; they literally paint the dough with toppings like artists. I called to order a large pick up special and the gentleman that answered sounded a little grumpy on the phone but I went ahead and placed my order. Really modern looking pizza place in my hometown. Great food even at really late hours when I get off work. I love the glass Coke's and the pizza is to die for. Despite the name, pizza is not the only thing they serve having a large variety of wing perfect for sitting down watching the lakers as well as all the alot of the American Staples you know and love such as burgers, sandwiches, pastas, and ribs. I have a few friends who are vegan and this place is great for them too, tons veggie options. The deliveries are fast and service is amazing.
