Pepperoni pizza

I order a pepperoni pizza for pickup. I ordered online and loved how there are deals and coupons online. $20 for a large one topping pizza seemed reasonable. When I went to pickup the pizza, the staff were helpful and quick. The pizza was good, with average seeming quality of ingredients.

Small pizza. Half BBQ Chicken and half supreme.

A day out in Carpentaria means you gotta get a pizza by the beach, right? For us, we go out to fill our bellies with food before sipping our adult beverages later in the day. We felt welcome in Pizza Man Dan's as it looked inviting. It was kind of like a Shakey's but we wanted to give it a shot since Rusty's looked packed. Clean restaurant and great customer service, but that didn't help the food. Although it looked great online, we were pretty disappointed. I felt that the pizza wasn't fantastic but it wasn't terrible it was just okay. We got a half and half pizza for the two of us. Although the barbecue chicken pizza with jalapeños was pretty good, the supreme pizza was just alright. Nothing too crazy but it was packed with toppings which is why we didn't feel it was bad. The potato wedges were chunky and soft. It was underwhelming not to chomp into a crispy exterior with a fluffy inside. These had a "from freezer, to microwave" consistency. Super oily too and for the price, the amount you get was not worth it. We did only spend a couple of minutes deciding where to eat, but if we were to go back, we'd probably choose another pizza spot entirely. Perhaps others have a strong connection to the food here but for us, Pizza Dan was not the Pizza man.

Must be hard to compete for pizza place market share in a tiny town like Carpinteria but it's clear Dan's strategy is service. Pizza, salad and soda all great but Friday night's late Fall service deserves honorable mention and recognition. Firstly, my order was taken with accuracy and attention. Was already willing to throw a couple bucks tip but no digital option for that. Young man at the counter let me know he greatly appreciated the sentiment none the less. Impressive. After experiencing an epic journey across their vast landscape of salad bar spread, I was posted up at one of their 2 touch screen soda taps when I heard my name called letting me know my pizza was ready. I was still at the soda tap vacillating between another 6 ounces of Vanilla Cream or maybe Orange when the same young man working the register came all the way over to make sure I had heard my pizza was ready. That's when I started to realize I definitely made the right choice coming to Pizza Man Dan's tonight. As with any great story we experienced a great ending after my niece's greasy fingers and waxed cup turned into ice on the floor. When alerted, the same guy from behind the counter lept into action addressing the cleanliness and safety issues we had created and was very gracious about the whole thing. Top notch Dan! Well done cultivating a service culture that promotes in house family dining. I'll remember to bring cash for the jar next time

One of the best deals out there. Did you see how many toppings they gave us??? I got my moneys worth (important in this economy), it was delicious, and the gentlemen working were fast and kind. Can't wait to come back!

Pizza came in these cute boxes.

We ordered delivery from Pizza Man Dans to our hotel in Carpenteria. We ordered the Indy Margarita, med BBQ chicken pizza, chicken wings with Buffalo and ranch and a Cobb Salad. Food was very good and arrived sooner than expected. Only complaints are they did not bring paper plates, napkins or utensils. To be fair we forgot to request these items, but assumed they'd be included as they were delivering to a hotel. Also, the salad was very small- really only big enough for one person- should be called an Indy Salad.

After a night of bar hopping. Nothing beats a classic pepperoni pizza. We ordered delivery and it came in about 20 minutes for a saturday night. I love the thin crust on this pizza. The hot and steamy cheese pulls was definitely satisfying everyone's craving! I definitely recommend when you're staying in Carpinteria!

Before today, I didn't even know there was a "PMDs" in Carpenteria! We were so HAPPY there was. The staff was fab & location is prime!. Brought the girls here for a quick bite. They had a blast! Even dances ‍. Goodtimes! We'll be back. THANKS!

Jennifer was our server on a holiday weekend and she catered to the local crowd and tourists alike as if each of us were her only table. She apologized for the wait but there was no need because we had a great experience. I can't believe we had not visited the Nugget until now because we love the quiet beach across the road. After our beach walk we were looking for some drinks and an early meal to keep the beautiful day going. We ordered the full rack of ribs and tri tip French dip to accompany hubby's cold beers and my tall pomegranate spritz. Both meals were so flavorful and the ribs were so tender they fell off the ribs. My tri tip with au jus was also well seasoned and prepared. For our sides, we had salads which were equally fresh & well dressed and hubby enjoyed the crispy and cheat-worthy onion rings. I definitely understand why the Nugget is a favorite local spot and a great stop-over along Hwy 101 between Ventura and Santa Barbara.

We visited Carpinteria for the first time as a little summer escape from the heat in Simi Valley,…read moreand after arriving hungry, we came across this place. What a great find! The restaurant was busy, with tables pretty much full both inside and outside, but luckily we were able to get seated without a wait. I ordered the fish tacos, my son had the linguini pomodoro, and my wife ordered the cioppino. Everything was delicious. The seafood tasted incredibly fresh, and the fish in the cioppino was so tender it practically melted in your mouth. The broth was rich and savory--maybe a little on the salty side, but we still really enjoyed it. The service was another highlight. Everyone was kind, friendly, and welcoming, and you could tell the staff was working hard to make sure everyone had a good experience. I also really liked how diverse the menu is. There are plenty of choices for different tastes, whether you're in the mood for seafood, pasta, tacos, or something else. Overall, this was an awesome first experience and a great discovery during our trip to Carpinteria. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town, and we're looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu!

Unfortunately, after giving Teddy's by the Sea multiple chances, the problems have become too consistent to overlook. We've had repeated issues with online orders--food mixed up or not prepared the way we ordered it. On one occasion, we even found a piece of plastic in our lobster mac and cheese. But the most frustrating issue has been the completely inconsistent closing time. They advertise that they're open until 8:30 PM, yet we've shown up as early as 7:40 PM and been told they're already closed. This hasn't happened just once--it's happened to us multiple times. We really used to enjoy coming here, but between the order mistakes, the plastic in the food, and never knowing whether they'll actually be open during their posted hours, we've finally given up. If you advertise that you're open until 8:30, customers should reasonably be able to expect you to be open at 7:40.

My boyfriend and I stopped at Padaro Beach Grill during an afternoon drive up the coast…read more Immediate impression: it reminded me of Hawaii in the best way. The outdoor seating area, the architecture, the sounds and smell of the ocean right there. Immaculate vibes. We went on a Friday around 3:30pm, so it wasn't crazy busy. We found a table without issue and there were always at least a few others available. However, I imagine this place gets extremely popular during peak hours. We ordered the Baja Fish Tacos and a side of French Fries. All were delicious - no complaints! Although the tacos are so loaded, they can be a challenge to eat! Would definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

Dear Hubby and I have been long-time fans of Padaro Beach Grill. As such, we wanted to introduce…read more(maybe re-introduce?) Sweet Granddaughter to the place on a Saturday as summer is winding down. Am not sure if there's been a change of ownership, but there did seem to be a change of results of the experience of visiting. Noting that in a previous review I mentioned live music. Several other reviewers did, too. When we were there this past weekend in the early afternoon, there was no music to be found. We caught the ordering line at the right time; it wasn't too long and it didn't take but a few minutes to get to the counter. After that, it went downhill to some extent. The main disappointment was the food. I mean, it's a restaurant, right? That's kind of the point. The ambiance is still fun - beachy casual, like you're a guest at a private beach club. But the food used to be much, much better. I made the mistake of ordering the tri-tip sandwich. It was served with grilled onions and smothered in BBQ sauce. It would normally also come with cheese, but I had that left off as cows' milk cheese and I do not get along. I would have much preferred to leave out the BBQ sauce and have au jus on the side instead to let the flavor of the beef come out. Alas, that's not an option. There wasn't anything else on the menu speaking to me at the time, or I could have / should have ordered something else. I thought about the fish tacos, but I'm not a huge fan of cabbage. In any event, the tri-tip was cut too thick. That made it tough to bite / and overly chewy. To the point where it wasn't a happy eating experience. I only finished half the sandwich and gave the rest to DH to eat later. I didn't choose to add any fries or onion rings as I wanted to give fried foods a rest. So I had half a sandwich, and half a very overpriced and underwhelming chocolate chip cookie for dessert. For me, the food was bordering on a failing grade. Barely a "C". DH, on the other hand, really enjoyed the fish and chips he'd ordered. I had a bite, and while the fish was really fresh, the batter coating was undercooked, which made for a mushy exterior texture. It was also extremely greasy. SG ordered her favorite meal of chicken nuggets and fries. She'll never turn down fries, so that made her happy. The chicken pieces were not that flavorful, and not that great a texture, either. We also spent the meal dodging ants which were running over the picnic tabletop. A tabletop which looked like it hadn't been cleaned by human hands in a very, very long time. Which likely explains why the ants thought it was fair game - they were on the hunt for missed crumbs. I can bet good money that when we ask SG if she remembers eating at Padaro Beach Grill, she will recall that it's the outdoor place where the ants were trying to eat our food. There aren't enough umbrellas for all the picnic tables, and there's not really any other source of shade on a warm, sunny afternoon. We were lucky enough to get one of the lawn-area tables with an umbrella, but we ended up feeling crowded when mid-way through our meal, a group of seven people took over the adjacent table. By then, we were ready to finish up and go. In past visits, lingering and enjoying the tropical vibe was part of the experience. Not during this last visit. A shame.
