We ordered the eggplant stack and a carbonara "sorta" pizza. The eggplant stack was like a deconstructed eggplant parmesan . The eggplant was perfectly fried and the ricotta mix in between the fried eggplant was flavorful. I would return for this alone! And yet when they brought out the pizza, I was mesmerized. I've never eaten peas on a pizza before and this was just divine! Cheesy pizza with slices of ham, dollops of more of the delicious flavored ricotta on top. WOW. Vibe was cool. Red checked table cloth and those big ol' plastic cups à la my favorite pizza joint from when I was a kid in NJ. Lots of Dalmatian art inside.

I honestly enjoyed the caesar salad and Pepperoni pizza a lot. Service wasn't super speedy, but it was acceptable, the drink menu is long and the wines by the glass are good, and nice and cold for this spot, and the pizza is tasty. No it's not your NY amazing pizza, it is floppy, and it lacks the char that I would really really want, but it's the best pizza I've had in Delaware. Come with the family, a bit of patience, and enjoy!

Hands down the BEST meatball sub I've ever had, and that's saying a lot! When you stop in, say Hi to Colin. He's not just an amazing person but a great ambassador for Louie's. The service was fast, made to order, came out hot & fresh. The vibe is family friendly, unpretentious and authentic. Did I mention they've been in business 52 years?! The quality of the food and the friendly, helpful vibe is clearly a testament of their longevity and commitment to excellence. Thank you to all the staff and especially Colin for making my first visit to Rehoboth Beach Special.

Slice & Drink Review…read more Louie's is definitely a blast from the past. The dining room is straight out of 1970, and the walk up takeout right next door, at least a few decades older. The black and whites on the walls feel right out of a 50's newsreel. I love all that historic stuff from my own childhood, so it pleased me to go back in time for a little bit. I needed a slice and diet to carry me through the late afternoon and Louie's was right in front of me when we parked near the boards at the top of Rehoboth Ave. I knew nothing about pizza at this shore, but my Jersey roots made me comfortable it would be decent. The reheat on the mushroom slice was strong enough to crisp the firm scorched crust back to life, and allowed the mozzarella to sweat and melt, while the sliced dark schrooms remained embedded in the surrounding cheese. It was a smaller than expected triangle, but the taste and texture were fine. The crust was somewhat airy with a nice crunch; the red sauce wasn't memorable. Five bites and it was gone. Four Stars for the rekindled sandy memories.

As someone said, these cookies are quite expensive as is, but they are amazing, and consistent, over the years we've been going, But, we were overcharged, with a bit of a hassle. The Lasagna was served in a very generous portion. Having not had Gnocchi since I was very young, it took me back to days long ago in NY. While the entrées were delicious, I was disappointed when I found out the NY Style Cheesecake was made in-house and the wedge served to me was undercooked, slightly runny, missing the tart afterbite of known NY Cheesecake (Juniors as an example). It wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't the quality I would expect a Bronx native to sell in a family owned Italian restaurant.

The space was open and lively. Although they had no live music that day, a projector TV was placed with sports. Olivia was very nice and attentive. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy and tasted great. The coleslaw lacked a bit of flavor but it was still a nice counterbalance to the sandwich. The pizza was excellent! It made me want to eat the whole thing at the moment. Overall, it is a worthwhile experience. Especially if you used to have a Dogfish location where you lived.

I usually like them to have a little bit more sweetness to them, but these also tasted like they stood in the fryer, a little bit too long. I ordered one of every oyster and made one an oyster shooter. The briney babe, came with a seaquench beer which was great and crisp, not too sour of a sour, had good flavor. I would order it again. The oysters I wish I had more of. They did come out, but they are a little bit smaller and for their price point without a happy hour they can be a little bit on the expensive side. Though getting an oyster shooter, you can definitely get more alcohol, but you'll have to sustain it some other food. I do love this location because it has a slightly more menu compared to the actual dog fish head brewery which has more options for cocktails, etc. Service did take a little bit, so it's better to order everything at once once you have your server.
