You can get the larger party pizza without paying extra for each topping. So if you have a large party it's a great option. We ate steak and pizza subs and took a pizza home for later. Service was great. They genuinely love making thier food and you can see the kitchen area from the store front. There are a few tables outside and some high tables inside but they do alot of to go orders. Besides the Pizza being one of the best I've ever tasted the ambiance takes me back to old school New York where everybody knew everybody and from the minute you walk in they make you feel like family. Didn't even call them when I got home because they do not want to take a loss on making a better one. I know because this was not the first time but I'm sure it will be the last. Living near by we have always seen these little shopping center that use to have really great restaurants. Tonight we drove by and decided to stop in and check it out. Read some really great reviews about the garlic bread and thought ... why not? We walked in looking at the menu and immediately we were greeted by a staff member with a smile .... Thanks guys! We Ordered a 14' (Medium) cheese pizza, 6 Piece Honey Garlic Wings and we had to try the garlic rolls. The waitress (who by the way was the nicest person ever!) came to drop of the wings and the rolls and then the pizza came to the table shortly after. The wings were delicious and you know I love my wings and I can be very picky about who makes them! Hands down my #2 place now- sorry to say my old #2 spot was bumped down to #3 because of this place. The Honey was tossed in the wings and coated every inch of them but it was not super sweet at all! Really good, authentic, hand-made NY-Style Pizza. This place is our go-to take out pizza joint and it does not disappoint. Everything from the thin crust, sauce, and the service make you feel right at home. There hasn't been a time when I pick up my pizza when Johnny himself isn't there prepping some cheesy goodness. They also have these garlic rolls that are not only topped with the garlic butter sauce of your dreams, but also can be stuffed with PEPPERONI. I order those with a side of ranch and my day is instantly made better. These pizzas don't play - the slices certainly are on the large side. Pizza Johnny's has a soft spot in my heart because for our two-year wedding anniversary the fine pizza team happily fulfilled my request of a heart shaped pizza made half pepperoni, half Hawaiian. Pizza Johny's offers a variety of pizzas and other menu items, so we decided to pick up some pizza here for lunch after a craving hit. They offer takeout and delivery through their website and Yelp. We ordered through Yelp because the pizza we wanted to try wasn't listed on the site - strange! We got the medium 14" Favorite pizza, their famous Pepperollies, and their house made garlic rolls. The Favorite pizza was supposed to have Italian sausage, caramelized onions, roasted peppers, mozzarella, and Johny's pizza sauce, and we added mushrooms and eggplant. The onions and peppers were neither caramelized or roasted; they were raw/partially cooked. The sausage bits were small and didn't add much. I felt like all the ingredients were fine, but it needed a kick of flavor (the caramelized onions or roasted peppers would've helped there). The famous Pepperollies were just rolls with a piece of pepperoni instead and garlic. The rolls weren't toasted and were too thick and doughy. Don't order both the Pepperollies and garlic rolls like we did; we didn't realize they would be essentially the same thing, just one without meat! The price for everything was fairly inexpensive, but overall, pretty meh! read more

I was picking up pizzas and garlic rolls to share with some media folk. After all, this spot was number TWELVE on Yelp's Top 50 Places to Eat in Miami. It didn't seem right to leave without trying some first, so I ordered a slice of cheese to sit and enjoy. There are only a few hightop tables inside, as this place clearly thrives on takeout and delivery. No bother though, I grabbed a spot and within minutes, Johnny himself handed me over my piping hot piece of classic cheese pizza. Oh, the smell.... It was agony waiting for it to cool down. Thankfully, there's lots of eye candy on the wall which really transported me to NYC. Eventually, I deemed my slice ready to eat and chowed! Now, I'm no pizza expert but this stuff was GOOD. No frills, thin crust, delicious sauce, tasty dough. Everyone was super friendly and it's all very decently priced. If you want something on the healthier side, they have an array of salads and sandwiches, but that intoxicating pizza smell can make it hard to stray. I will find an excuse to make it back soon. Until then, I'll be recommending this place to all my New York friends that complain about the lack of good pizza in Miami. Pro tip: During weekday lunch, it was extremely hard to find parking. Small pizza place but quite interesting and unique. I was in the area since my pregnant friend had some cravings and decided to stop here and have some pizza with the kids. We ordered a large pizza, half cheese half pepperoni and some drinks. The girl that took our order was very nice and so was the gentleman making the pizzas. It was a fun experience as they really interact with the customers. Pizza was done quickly and it was oh so yummy. They even cut the kids' slices in smaller pieces to make it easier for them to eat. The first time I ordered from Pizza Johny's I was like "OK, it's good pizza". I wasn't blown away, this was just ordinary pizza, but it was made right. But then, as time goes by and the inevitable happens, meaning you crave some pizza, you begin to see the name Pizza Johny's pop up in your head and shine intermittently like a neon sign, and you know where you must go... Now, I have a list of pizzerias to order from, and another list of pizzerias that I want to try, but for straightforward, traditional, no nonsense pizza, I have to say Pizza Johny's has become my top option in the area. To begin with, the dough is pretty good. It is well seasoned, thin, not too chewy but pretty resistant, and a bit crunchy on the edge. The sauce is awesome pizza sauce, so delicious if you can taste it. And the toppings are all really good and tasty toppings. For example, the meatballs are really good. All this and the right ratios/balance make a great pizza. I normally pick toppings for my pizza, but of the specialties I like to order the "four meats" specialty. It is a normal meat lovers type pizza. And one day I would like to order the "buffalo chicken" pizza. I am not ordering a pie only for myself, so when I get a quorum, I will get one of those. Heck! I may just order for myself. But the five stars are not just for pizza. Pizza Johny's also offers calzones that explode with cheese. They have a nice combination of cheeses going on for the calzones, I must say. Also, they have a lot of pasta dinners available. I have tried the chicken francaise (pretty good) and the parmigiana (really good). I would go back for both. And the subs are also pretty good. All of this happens in a tiny space off of Sunset Drive. It is like a slice of Little Italy somewhere, they say New York has a Little Italy... Come to Pizza Johny's. You won't be disappointed. The people are super nice, the place looks like an old NY or NJ pizzeria, and there are lots of pictures that tell a nice story of where this pizza has been. Ok after reading all the great Yelp reviews I had to try Pizza Johny's. Now I didn't start off wife a pizza which I hear is fabulous, that will be on my next visit. Today I tried the meatball sub (on whole wheat), garlic rolls, a lasagna and the traditional spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was delicious! The service was great. Has to wait a little longer than expected for calling in ahead of time but that's okay the food made up for the wait time. Only downside is the place is small with VERY limited seating.
