I have ordered from here for years and their pizza had always been my favorite but lately it has really left me disappointed. Today was the worst! Ordered a veggie pizza, Manhattan style. That was in no way a NY style pizza. The dough was not crisp enough and when I picked up a slice it flops and toppings fall off. The veggies were undercooked and the green peppers were huge. Peppers felt like I was biting into raw pieces. The crust was too thick and doughy and again not toasted enough. The mozzarella sticks were soggy. We had the late night cravings for pizza and this was the only place open besides your usual chain pizza places. We decided to give it a try and my goodness am I glad we did. We called ahead and ordered a 12inch special pizza (half Hawaiian half pepperoni). When we got there to pick it up, the man helping us was very sweet. Great service. It's a small place maybe a table or two but it felt authentic to us. The pizza looked, smelled, and tasted delicious!! If you request (and pay) for extra sauce it will likely have no sauce. If you order (and pay) for an extra topping - it will not be there. You will just be out money for nothing. This place used to be decent. It seems like they sold it recently. You can't even speak to anyone on the phone anymore, apparently they run calls out of a call center now, but it's just a voicemail that tells you to order pizza online. I ordered two pizzas paid for it online and I sent my daughter to pick it up. They gave her one pizza and charged her again even though I already paid online. So now I have paid for three pizzas and only got one. You would think that after making me come back a second time to pick up the pizza and deal with the refund, that they would at least be kind enough to offer me a discount or free bread rolls, or something for my trouble. This was first time I've ever been to this place. The initial experience was awful, as we came in and were the only ones in the store, but we're completely ignored. There was one lady who was stocking the food. She never looked up. We had 30 minutes to kill and needed to get our food, eat, and be done in those 30 minutes, so I didn't have time to wait for someone to start to give us proper service. I spoke up and said, "Excuse me! Can I please order something?" Then a young lady, not wearing a mask, came out from the office. I was the one who greeted her! I said "Hi. How are you?" She still didn't smile and flatly asked "How can I help you?" I was like WOW! Ok... So we ordered 2 slices with a soda, a bruschetta, and a chicken Cesar wrap. She said it would be 20 minutes. Ugh! Great! After waiting for them to take our order and then for it to be ready, we'll have 5 minutes to eat! Luckily, it was ready in 15 minutes. When the young lady handed it to me she didn't say anything! Not "Have a nice day!" Or "Thank you", Enjoy! Come back soon. Thank you for waiting." Nothing! I said Thank you and she said "you're welcome". She seriously needs to look for a different job! My other daughter had the chicken Caesar salad wrap. She said it was good but there were too many croutons in it. She ate some, but picked out at least 9! I tried one and it was stale. If you want the chicken ceaser wrap, ask for it without croutons. Otherwise it'll be the majority of your wrap. I tried some of the bruschetta. The bread was delicious! Perfectly cooked and flavorful. The tomato topping though was pretty plain. It could have had a lot more salt, garlic, and basil. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because of the food. I came to this Manhattan Chicago Pizza a few days ago. I love Pizza! It's only of my favorite foods, and my favorite kind of pizza is Chicago style pizza. Outside of Chicago, the only one I found to come closest to the great pizza from Chicago is Manhattan Chicago Pizza. I have gone to the location they have in Kendall, and was excited to find out they had one closer to my home at this location. Since I happened to be nearby recently as I had to sign some legal papers with my attorney, I decided to get some good pizza! Unlike its other location, this is really not a place to come sit down and enjoy your meal. There's not a lot of room, they have a two or three small tables but it's not very comfortable, roomy and it is unbelievably hot in there. This is more a location to order pick up or delivery. I got my usual, a Chicago style pizza with pepperoni, sausage and other delicious toppings as well as some wings. I went there today to pickup a Chicago deep dish pizza. The guy at the register puts the pizzas in their boxes. He than takes the round metal mesh tray and puts it on a stand in front of the pizza oven. The tray fell on the floor and he uses the large pizza spatula scraping it on the floor to pick up the tray and puts it back on the rack than he puts the spatula on the tray rack. I don't think they wash these trays. He certainly did not wash or wipe the pizza spatula clean. As the pizzas kept coming out he just kept scooping up the pizzas. It's obvious that cleanliness is not this business forte. Just walk in, look around closely and I'm sure you'll agree. I'll have to go back to Steve's pizza. Our family has been going to this location since previous ownership. Always liked the NY pizza, but the real Gem here is the "Chicago Deep Dish". Think of this round, super thick crust, like a tower wall protecting the pizza castle! Lol. This crust wall literally holds the cheese & this ohhhh sooooo delish Marinara sauce from pouring out. (my mouth is watering , I totally want a slice right now) With this order we got the Lg. Deep dish (original with sausage & beef), 2 Lasagna's (which were delicious) & let's not forget their garlic rolls, ohhh sooo good. We have been ordering for a few years now and when the owner wasn't there the girl who answers tried telling me they don't deliver to me. I drove all the way from Miami Lakes to try out their Chi-town style pizza and wasn't disappointed, but wasn't amazed to the point that I would drive down here again for it. Don't get me wrong, they were really good for what they offer. If I was a local, I would definitely come by and get 1 slice and a drink for $3.50. We started with wings. Our server said they were really good and they were baked. I was intrigued so I got them. Unfortunately, they were baby wings that you can eat with two fingers (index and thumb) lol....not only that, they were REALLY greasy. Ummmm weren't they baked? The problem was that they were very fatty. I bit into a drum and after searching through a layer of fat I finally found the meat. This was disappointing because the flavor wasn't bad, I mean I didn't need the sauce or anything. They just needed a little TLC. The quality of their pizza is good. I tried the Manhattan style first and I was pretty pleased. I had the spinach and bacon pizza, extra toasted because I like crunch. The slice was huge and thin. After my first bite, my eyes lit up, a burst of crispy crust, crispy bacon, oozing mozzarella, wow! It was really good. The sauce was sweet but not Steves Pizza sweet, know what I mean. It was balanced really well. Next, the main event. We ordered the 8" Chicago with pepperoni, cheese, and ground beef. I was so intimidated by this dish, that I even blurted out when it arrived "that's the 8 inch?" I was shocked! I honestly took like 1 bite just to say I tried it. It was very overwhelming, and had a massive amount of cheese. The one bite I had was delicious though. The crust was amazing, salty and dense, not doughy though. We ordered the sauce on the side to avoid it from getting soggy (thanks for the tip my fellow Yelpers) again, great sauce! Overall my rating is a 3.5 but I'll give them the four. I'm totally a cheese-a-colic. So, naturally a pizza that is stuffed with cheese and toppings would be right up my alley. This is mostly a take-out spot. There are a few tables outside and a few inside I believe. But I've always picked up my pie and enjoyed it in the comfort of my home. Love that they put the sauce on the side so it doesn't make the pizza soggy. A small depths is more than enough for 2 people, these things are massive and heavy, they will make you full. They also have great salads and garlic rolls, their thing crust pizza its pretty good too, and I believe there are coupons online. If you want to try out some delicious and different pizza give this place a shot. oh and make sure to ask for an extra side , or 2 of the red sauce. you're gonna need it. read more

I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I dined in with three other people close to closing time and received superb service. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also very reasonably priced. Our waitress, Lili, was very nice and accommodating. I ordered the caprese wrap and it was divine. Others in my party ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, chicken parmesan, and fettuccine alfredo with chicken. No complaints! In fact, the chicken parm came with three huge chicken beasts, so I would say it's definitely worth the price. We ended up paying less than $50 for four people which is a steal for the quality of food. Not to mention the fact that the free garlic knots and salad the pasta dishes come with are absolutely delicious. I highly recommend checking this place out! This was my first and last time eating from this establishment. I ordered to pick up and when I walked in, the space between the door and counter was very small and crowded. The place did not look clean and it seemed messy. I figured it is typically take out so I thought to wait until I got home and although my impression of the place was very unpleasant, the food would be good. Great pizzeria and never disappoints when you order their New York pizza. No where to sit is the only drawback but still has great food.

Love the pizza and garlic knots. If you order the extra-large pizza, make sure you bring a big car. If it doesn't fit in your back seat, try moving the front seat forward. If that doesn't work, try the trunk. The slices are so big they won't fit on your plate. Just how I like it! read more
