Authentic Chicago-style deep dish is hard to find outside the 312 area code, but this place has it. There is not much ambiance or atmosphere, and it is more of a pizzeria than a restaurant -- but the food is the real thing, and the service was super sweet and friendly. (My waitress told me I had good energy, and what's better than that?) I ordered the "Supreme" deep dish, and it was chock full of supremacy. Even I could not finish the 8-inch deep dish (and I eat like a pig when we're talkin' pizza...) Sausage, pepperoni, bacon, veggies and more. The only downside is that they service it on regular aluminum pans, and not even a dish to eat off of. Also, there is an art to reducing the amount of liquid inside a deep-dish so that it does not puddle up when cut, and they need to work on that a bit. But it's still great food though... It is in the corner of a half-empty shopping plaza. The true definition of a "hole in the wall" -- but if you want good Chicago-style, this is the place. I went to this place around 5 years ago and I can only recount that I had back then some kind of hassle or bad experience. The other day I decided to give it another try like maybe things will be better. I made a nice order over the phone for pick up. I carefully gave the full order for 4 large (16") pizzas. When I went to pick it all up, I presented them with a promotional discount coupon that I got in the mail. When the cashier presented me with the itemized bill, I noticed that the total was exceedingly high. I then asked the cashier to explain and immediately some other person popped in to his "rescue". They were charging me for 4 extra toppings on ALL 4 of the pizzas, but the extras were only ordered for 2 of them, and like what happened to their "promotional discount"?? BTW, extra pizza toppings really add up!. Again, as in the last time that I went to this place, there is another "hassle". After several minutes of having to deal with their bad attitudes and confusion (which seemed to me to be fake), I said "I had enough, I am out. Goodbye!!" I left out the door and this time never to return....and without paying and without the pizzas. I just do not like to have negative experiences especially on weekends. I hope that customers will look at their itemized bills before paying to make sure that they are being charged for what they ordered plus to make sure that they receive their full discount or credit for any of their coupons being presented. I rarely post a negative review of any business, but I sincerely hope that this place straightens out with better attitudes towards their customers and to make sure that it charges it's customers exactly for what they order, and to fully honor it's promotional coupons with a truly professional demeanor. read more

We came to our usual pizza spot and I am extremely disappointed. We ordered a Chicago style pizza and they messed up the order. I didn't complain because we were starving and didn't want to wait for our pie to be remade. They are now treating the dine in Chicago like the take out or delivery because because our sauce was on the side. I prefer the sauce to already be on the pie but that's just me. We also ordered garlic rolls. The garlic rolls came out after we were almost finished with our pizza and after continuously asking for them. This is a very small, mostly-takeout pizza shop. There's no seating inside, but they place three little tables outside for use by customers in nice weather. We had a take-out Chicago-style deep-dish pizza, and very much enjoyed it. I've never had one in Chicago, so I can't say whether it was authentic, but it was good. The food is all really good, both the pizza and the pasta dishes (which are really reasonable too). The only problem is, expect it to take 45 minutes to get a pizza on a weekend, even if you're picking up. If you order and they say it won't take 45 minutes, ask them if they're sure. And maybe go a little late anyway, if you don't want to have to sit in your car and wait. We were told 25-30 minutes, showed up after 30 and were told we had to wait another 15 minutes. I had a horrible experience with the new Kendall location. The pizza was not fresh at all!! It was reheated cheese pizza with toppings thrown on top. I actually have experience working in the pizza industry and I definitely noticed the fact that this pizza was reheated. I called and spoke to the manager which I later learned is also one of the owners Francisco. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He even hung up on me. I am a big fan of pizza. Thin crust, deep dish, New York style, Chicago style, neopolitian, doesn't matter. So after reading some reviews, and an endorsement from one of my friends, I made the trip here. It is along the way to Whole Foods for me, so either way I end up happy (picked up cookies and some nice cuts of meat). Place is super small as other reviewers have mentioned. You can only take about one step from the door before you reach the counter, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. They use all the space for th kitchen, which I prefer that to be their focus. Although I want to try both styles of pizza here, I made up my mind to go with the 8" Chicago style sausage pizza. I was informed it would take 20 minutes, so I killed sometime. In retrospect, I should have called in to save myself time for a take out order, which is essentially the only type of order you could really have here considering the space. When the pizza was finished (on time too), I was a little surprised. When I opened the box, the pizza had no sauce! Then I realized they packaged the sauce separately so that I could put it on afterwards. Smart move. I had take out a few times in Chicago and they didn't do that, which can make this messy. After racing home so I could dig in, I brought out my silverware to prepare for the feast. Being the crazy guy that I am, I decided to weight the pizza. The 8" (it's actually 9") weighed in at an impressive 3.5lbs. Ok, taste breakdown: 1 - sauce: A little sweet, and peppery. It was good for me. 2 - cheese: there is tons of it! Nice and gooey, and enough to satisfy any cheese lover. 3 - sausage: my first disappointment in the flavor department. It was good, but it didn't taste like Chicago style sausage. It had a light flavor, with a taste of Parmesan and oregano. I am used to a heartier sausage with more heat and spice. 4 - crust: Chicago style pizza that I have tasted has more of a pie crust texture than a bread texture that most pizzas have. However, this was bread-like. The bottom crust was thin and by the time you start cutting, it becomes soggy. The edge is crusty, but once again, it is like hard bread. Kinda a let down. :( Overall, the pizza is good. You will eat it, enjoy it, and have to lie down and pass out from cheese overdose. BUT, this is not what I would consider an authentic Chicago deep dish pizza. It does a job of imitating the look and taste than most places do down here, but it misses the mark. We were looking for a good place to get some Italian food after visiting the Miami Zoo. I was excited about the Chicago style pizza, and my wife ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. I just ordered delivery of an 8" Chicago style pizza with mushrooms and ground beef. It was pretty good but not a lot of toppings other than cheese. The sauce was good, sweet tasting. The cheese was plenty and warm and gooey. It was thick and the crust was crispy all around. All in all, I can say it was pretty good but not the best I've ever had. I could only eat less then 1/4 of it because it really is thick and filling. It's the only Chicago pizza I know of in Miami after Uno closed years ago in town and country mall. The order came within about an hour which was expected and they are about 3 miles away. The delivery person billed me with square which I like better than giving my card number over the phone. And for me, a very slow eater, it's not good! I am no the biggest fan of Pizza, but then I again I am not a big fan of pizza, so far the best thing I have had in Miami is the pizza at Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza, but that one if more of a thinner pizza. Manhattan Chicago Real Pizza on the other hand offers authentic Chicago and New York pizza. I use the work Authentic very loosely because I have never been to either Chicago or New York so I would not know what those actually taste like. On my first visit to Manhattan Chicago Real Pizza, we tried the Chicago deep dish pizza (supreme). Everyone in the group got deep dish because we were all looking to try it. To my surprise, I really enjoyed the pizza. I thought the pizza was going to be oozing with sauce (which I hate) but it was not. I cannot compare it to any other deep dish, because I have not tried any other. But this was really good, so much so that I returned a few weeks later. The second time here I tried their original deep dish and I was a bit disappointed. I ordered take out, which I forgot to mention this is around 30 mins from my house, but today I was close by. When I got home I thought they gave me the wrong pizza. It had no sauce on top. But with the help of Yelp I realize they do this to every take out. As far as the pizza goes, I think it had way to much cheese which made a bit bland. While I was there I saw their New York pizza and just by looking at it I think I will be back real soon. read more

I went today to get a couple slices of cheese pizza. The venue itself looks like a mess, There's three tables squashed inside with hardly any room and they were messy. However, there are some outdoor tables if it's not too hot. I was placing an order for pickup, so I wasn't too concerned about the dining space. I order a 2 slice combo and an order of 6 garlic rolls. After waiting about 5 minutes, I was given my order and I proceeded home. It wasn't until I got home and opened my order, did I realize what I was given. The pizza was burnt and looked old. The dough was hard and was more like a cracker, and there was hardly any cheese on the pizza. The garlic rolls were so hard, you couldn't even bite into them. To think they sell large pies for $30. At this point, it's been a long day, and I didn't have the energy to go back and request a refund or a new order. It's pretty difficult to find good, simple pizza in South Florida. I can point you to decent places serving wood-fired thin crust pizza, and everyone knows that certain chain that (to me) makes its pizza nauseatingly burned and blackened. But where do you go if you just want a few giant triangle slices of New York-style cheese pizza? I haven't found much better than Manhattan Chicago. As befitting the name, they serve Chicago-style pies here, too...however, I've come to realize that in the Great Pizza War, I side with New York all the way. Chicago pizza is just...too much. Too much bread, too much greasy cheese, too much sauce...Too. Much. With the Chicago pies here, I do find the cheese too greasy, and to me it doesn't keep as well for the next few days when I inevitably munch on leftover cold pizza for breakfast and snacks. The New York pies are where it's at. As I said, there is absolutely nothing special about this pizza. It's simple, but it does simple very well. There's a good proportion of crust, cheese and sauce, and that makes all the difference. I wouldn't overload on toppings at this place...extra toppings are fairly expensive here and will add up, and since the pizza is thin and floppy, add too many toppings and you're going to end up with a mess. I wouldn't go much beyond extra cheese and pepperoni. Another fantastic thing about this place is that orders can be placed, and paid for should you choose, via the Yelp app. read more

This must be a bad joke! I work at Baptist on nights. With the whole COVID situation the food at the cafeteria lately hasn't been the best. So I decided to Uber eats. I ordered the chicken parmigiana sub, mozzarella sticks, and a tiramisu. The first thing i noticed was that the mozzarella sticks had no Marinara Sauce. Who serves mozzarella sticks with no Marinara sauce??? I tried one and it tasted OLD! When I went to open up my sub to at least eat that, this is what I encountered. Kept looking around to see if someone was pulling a prank on me, because wtf, is this what they call chicken parm? Where's the sauce? Where's the cheese? Honestly this is so disrespectful. Bridging the gap between each city's take on pizza, Manhattan Chicago Pizza serves up some of the best Americanized pizza in Miami. After spending years suffering the trendy thin and burned crusts (that tastes little better than matzah), and a serious stinginess of gourmet cheeses and toppings (One fig per slice? Are you kidding me?), it was a welcome relief to stumble upon this neighborhood spot. The New York style pizza from Manhattan Chicago has a perfect sauce to cheese ratio, and I recommend splurging for the addition of fresh basil to really elevate a classic pie. Also, the Chicago-style is a cheese lovers dream, with a generous layer of meat hidden within. Purists may bemoan the extra crust on top and the slightly thin sauce, and while I can't deny these minor concerns, it is still an indulgent and delicious choice. Plus it may be the only option for a Chicago-style in the area. The restaurant itself is not much in the way of atmosphere, and I assume this is likely due to the fact that they do most of their business via pickup or delivery. There are a couple of small metallic tables and chairs clustered outside and inside by the counter, but it more utilitarian than chic or romantic. It is not the place to take a date, nor would I recommend taking large groups. Looks aside...the are producing truly excellent pizza. Another fantastic perk, is that you can place your order in advance through yelp, and they will have your pie ready and waiting when you arrive. For starters, being a fan of Deep Dish pizza I was extremely hopeful because nowhere in Miami could do it correctly. As it turns out, they still can't do it right. The sauce was all over the place, it was extremely watery while it should be more almost lightly crusted on top. This seemed more like they took cheese pie & poured a tomato soup over it. Also there was a strange extra layer of crust that confused the hell out of me. The best way to explain this Deep Dish is like a lasagna exploded. To discuss the N.Y. Style Meat Lovers pizza I can begin by saying that the crust was very dry & flavorless. The toppings were nothing special & it didn't seem to have a good tasting cheese either. The best way to describe this was like an overpriced frozen pizza. The sad part of the two pizzas this was the better one. I would never recommend this place to anyone and my advice to anyone that wants Chicago style deep pizza is to make a trip to Orlando & eat Giordanos Pizza because that's the best Deep Dish in Florida. read more

I want to briefly explain why I gave their Chicago deep dish pizza a 3 star versus a 4. I only had their Chicago pizza and nothing else, so I am rating them only on that. The reason I didn't give a higher rating is not because it wasn't good, because it was delicious, but not what I expected. I'm used to Gino's East and Giordanos, the real deal & as much as I wanted to recreate that taste, they are not them. I was skeptical about this place because it claims to do both Chicago deep dish style and ny style. Most places struggle doing one sufficiently, so it seemed like a very ambitious claim. Much to my suprise, the Chicago style was fantastic and the ny style, while I did not eat it, certainly looked the part as the people eating next to us had it. Sauce, cheese, toppings...everything was hitting for me here. It was under $20 too and everyone left full. Service is fine and setting is limited. Definitely a step up from the previous pizza joint that occupied this space (which apparently closed over 3 years ago...I'm old). i've had issues here before but first the staff are horrible and when i go to pickup there's always someone sick in that place. so who knows if people will get sick from eating there. also when picking up orders, one of the staff members was just outside smoking (gr@ss) so that has to be a health violation and who would wanna pick up food that may smell of that stuff. next i am never able to get an associate on the phone for my orders and get there only to find out they never got my online order thru their website. which makes me have to wait even longer, and then he messed up the pizza and he should have just remade the pizza instead of adding toppings and putting it in the oven AGAIN which made the pizza hard and burnt. i've had better pizza from the traditional pizza delivery places but i don't recommend the pizza at all. won't be doing business there again. read more

This Pizza is "Off the Chain" no pun intended!!! The only other best pizza I've had that compares has actually been in NYC!! Don't get me wrong I've tried other pizza places in Miami, not the chains, as I am not a fan of not authentic pies. This is a family owned business which you can tell take pride in their Pizza and ingredients. Do not go there thinking you can go and have a seat to eat. This restaurant, located in the corner of a strip mall is really small and is basically for take-out or delivery. I always have the NY pizza 12" which is a large, they do not have small, but this size is perfect, with light sauce pepperoni and peppers and it NEVER disappoints. It is great and the wings are crazy good (grilled, not fried which is amazing!) and the wraps and salads I have tried as well and are very good as well. Ohh and the best thing is that if you go pick it up, they will call you when it is ready, so need to guess when your 20 minutes or time is running. I came here for deep dish pizza, and I found that, sort of. This is a really small shop with two little tables inside and a few outside. I have a feeling that most people order for take out. My friend and I ordered in, and it was a little awkward; I felt like I was eating in someone's house. They served us food in plates that looked like they came out of someone's kitchen, and there was a TV that they were watching that was directly next to our table. It wasn't necessarily bad, just a little weird. The Chicago-style pizza, unfortunately, is rather structurally unsound. Once it's sliced it completely melts into itself and 'falls' off of the tall sides of the crust. It became a rather unappetizing lump of pizza ingredients. The Original Chicago style had good flavor, however. They used good cheeses and sausages. I probably wouldn't come back. I really just want a Chicago style pizza to eat. But this became a goopy mess after a few minutes. And the pizza is a little overpriced if you order anything other than the Original. read more

I usually order a pizza from this place about once a month or so and every time I order, I always get the same exact thing; the extra large pizza with pepperoni. The pizza is absolutely amazing, it's a thin crust, NY 's style pizza with a great tomato sauce and fantastic cheese on the top. The pepperoni is also very consistently good. The first time I had this pizza, I absolutely fell in love with it, it is reminiscent of Mike's pizza from years ago, back when Mike's pizza was really good. Now, the extra large pepperoni pizza from Manhattan Chicago Real Pizza is probably one of my favorite pizzas to get in Miami.
