Personal Pan Pizza with bacon, pepperoni and sausage
    Candace B.

So I had an issue last time I ordered through Grub Hub so this location gave me a $20 credit and I decided to used it today. It had been a minute since my last order, I really don't eat pizza like I used to but just as they promised that the credit would be there when I was ready, my $20 credit was still in the system to use at my discretion. I called the store directly and got the manager Jose. He was great! He had such a great demeanor, as a matter of fact, everyone I have spoken with at this location has been amazing but he was very patient with me and it was appreciated because I didn't have a menu in front of me and didn't really know what I wanted. He recommended some things and I went with it. I ended up ordering a personal pan and six hot wings and went a wee bit over the $20 credit and the order was a little more than the credit but it was fine because I was able to pay the difference. Picked it up and it was delicious. Thanks! Jose.

Horrible location. My pizzas were not only the wrong order but so cold like they've been sitting out for a while. I also ordered extra pepperoni and they barely put any pepperoni on it. The other pizza I ordered was completely different. I will never order from here again. Disgusting.

Thin crust that is very flavorful, good sauce, not too much cheese, just enough, not that deep dish stuff that midwestern people think is pizza but is something else entirely. When I first moved here, you could not get the real deal, it was disappointing. Then the grandson of Regina's Pizza in the north End opened up the Pizza Connection is Canoga Park and it was really good. He opened a bunch of other locations but over time, not sure why, the pizza just wasn't as good. My child Emily Asher Kellis disagrees, still loves it, but she was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, so what does she really know about pizza. After trying a bunch of different "New York City" pizza joints that were just ok, we found Santino's NY Pizza in Sherman Oaks and were very happy with it, authentic East Coast pizza. Well last week I discovered they went out of business. Oh no, what were we going to do? So I researched and found there was a place in Sherman Oaks called The Pizza Wagon of Brooklyn, only two locations, here and in Brooklyn and people said it was the real deal. Tonight we tried it, and you know what, it might just be even better. Santino's sauce had a slight sweetness to it that we liked that this doesn't but the sauce is good, and the crust is even more flavorful and they are a bit more liberal with the olive oil usage, which true East Coasters love while I am told that most health conscious Southern Californians do not. Anyway, we are quite happy that we can continue to get our pizza craving satisfied when we just gotta have some slices.

Light, airy, flavorful, and somehow indulgent without leaving you feeling weighed down. Every pizza tastes thoughtfully crafted, with high-quality ingredients that let the flavors shine. Their signature slow-fermented dough has earned a devoted following for good reason. IT IS AWESOME. And for awesome you pay the price and shut your trap. This is a neighborhood place and I am thankful that it is not overrun with a fake crowd. But I feel like some of you are sleeping on this place. You travel all the way to Italy to take pasta and pizza classes and they do workshops here! The Cacio e Pepe pizza deserves its cult status, but honestly, I've never had a bad meal here. The service is always warm, the atmosphere is buzzing, and every time I leave I find myself planning what I'm ordering on my next visit. In a city full of pizza options, Pizzana remains one of the few that actually feels worth the calories. Sherman Oaks is lucky to have Pizzana right on Ventura Boulevard. There was a large party of 20 when we were there, along with a couple outside, then afterwards a family of 5, and another customer. The 2 servers upfront were great with everyone: friendly, smiling, and promptly attentive. Because of the large party, our food took longer than normal, but they did bring out our calamari so we weren't waiting with nothing. The portion on the calamari was disappointing. They should seriously consider doubling the portion. My son's pepperoni pizza was really good. Lots of pepperoni and cheese. The dough was thin and delicious. Size was just right. My wife had Ciopino. It was good and we would order it again. I ordered the bolognese and was good as well. Plenty of meat, sauce, and pasta. Good temperature for all three entrees. In terms of the bread, that should be improved. It should be sourdough, but instead it appears to be regular sliced read that they cut into small squares and toasted it a little. Not sure if they added any butter or garlic paste. Small improvements and they get a higher rating.

The crust is great. Not too thick and has a nice crunch to it. They do have other dishes as it's an Italian restaurant. They also offer bottomless pasta but how much can one eat....lol... Service has alway been good whenever we visited. There's plenty of street parking and some available spot in front and out back. Alcohol is offered. I don't know when they started the change with the sourdough bread. It used to be offered when you sit down. Now it's a fee. But one of the waiters said that is offered with a pasta dish which I've heard else wise. Who knows what the truth is. But we just stick to the pizza and salad. It's a valley spot that pretty much everyone I know has been too.
