I confess, I've been a fan of the Pizza Getti since the late 60's. Tried to calculate how many of their pizzas I've consumed in approximately 58 years - over 2000! So obviously I like it and I'm terribly biased. After reading several of the previously posted reviews, I have to agree with the vast majority of them. Very good pizza, very good service, very good people. If "Cheers" was a pizza joint, this would be it. The ambience is fine, clean, nothing fancy. The location is ok, not great- but not scary. I get it that some of the negative reviews were based on a preference for breadier, deep dish style pizzas - so ok, we can agree to disagree. But, you'd be hard pressed to throw any shade on the spaghetti- always excellent- espionage with the meatballs. So, if you're looking for a family owned, multi-generational establishment that has stood the test of time (and you like thin crust pizza) or great spaghetti, you can't go wrong here. Okay pizza. Like bar pizza basically. Sweeter sauce, dense dough, basic cheese. Kids loved it and parents liked it. Takeout order took absolutely ages and about 30 min after the already 30 min promised time. They did give a free 2 liter in return at least for the trouble. In the area it's basically the only option other than the chains, and this is still better than all of those. read more

I went there with my work colleagues for a end of year celebration, and I was pleasantly surprised for the food! We had the lunch special, which came with salad, pizza and pasta for an extra $2. The portion sizes were great and I really enjoyed the crust. I had a 2 topping pizza with mushrooms and green pepper, very good. Our waitress was wonderful as well, serving all 13 of us with ease! I'm extremely surprised that this place has 4 stars currently. This pizza is amongst my least favorite. The cardboard crust is flavorless and the cheese and sauce if bland at best. The garlic toast appears to just be white bread with butter, garlic and Italian seasoning. It's not Texas toast nor any level of thickness - just plain thin white bread. Family spot. We had a baseball game nearby and Yelp never disappoints. Got a medium pepperoni and the hostess couldn't have been nicer. Pizza was piping hot and super unique crust and flavor. Highly recommend. They also have a small salad bar and the ranch dressing they have on that bar is delicious. Just dip the pizza in for a guilty pleasure. Well. Um. I've eaten here several times over the years mainly when I'm in a pinch because it's close to my house, but it's very bland for MY taste buds. The salad is basic, the spaghetti is bland and the pizza crust is like card board plus I don't like the round pebble shaped sausage (which is also bland). I have always had to add seasoning from my pantry. I will add that it's been here for decades and I always see a stream of customers (mainly white). So they must love it. Honest opinion. My boyfriend's family is from the area and they love this place! It's located in a strip mall - not the fanciest but the staff is friendly and the service is quick! The restaurant is clean! The salad bar was surprisingly good - it was small and a pretty plain Jane salad bar but the lettuce mix is fresh and crispy (which makes me think it doesn't come out of the bag and they chop this up in house - I could be wrong, they could just have very good suppliers but it was super fresh which made this salad bar better than some of the others I've been to at nicer places). The pickled okra was delicious, as was the tomatoes and banana peppers! We enjoyed the salad bar a lot for what it was! We ordered some lasagna, a large order of spaghetti with meat sauce with extra meatballs on the side (to share), and two pizzas! The lasagna was ok and the spaghetti was ok - I wish there was more sauce and meat on the large plate of spaghetti noodles, but it was exactly what I expected to get.. so no complaints here. The pizza was good for what it was - the crust was crispy and the toppings were exactly what we ordered. Everyone loved the sausage! Good prices for the amount of food we ordered! Bf's family said it reminded them The Pizza Place, I've never been so I can't vouch for it but they love Pizza Getti and come quite often! read more

I have read so many great Yelp reviews on this place so I decided to check it out. Bottom line: pizza is a 5.7 (Barstool pizza scale). This pizza place is located in a shopping area off of highway 30. The inside is fairly small, but has some seating. I have read that they do buffet style lunches but not quite sure it could hold a large party. I ordered a large cheese/tomato pizza to go. The pizza looked promising, but wasn't all that great. Each pizza slice was a little bit soupy in the middle, fairly floppy, and did not have a very crispy crust. The pizza didn't taste bad, just pretty basic and nothing great. Overall the pizza was alright. It's a good mom and pop pizza place, so I'm sure they get long-time customers that have been coming here for ages. I wouldn't go out of my way when pizza cravings hit, and there are definitely better options out there. Probably won't be back. read more

I've lived near here for a while and never ventured in - big mistake! This place is great! There is a reason Pizza Getti has been in business for 55 years! The pizza is very thin crispy crust, but delicious. Try the garlic ranch, it is a little extra - but worth it! The salad bar is tiny, but it is exactly what I want in a pizza place (lettuce tomato and carrots with ranch to help my puritan brain justify eating yummy pizza!)
