Pizza was decent. salad was good. sauce for the cheese curds was pretty gross. They have games inside. It was just average for us.

I've been a patron of Pizza Garden since the sixties. I've had their take out through the years. I also remember Westphal's hardware store, which closed years ago. The folks who own the Garden did a really nice job of renovating an old store into a very nice restaurant. Seating at the bar, along the windows, in a couple of booths, or in the back room. There is a television at every angle. But the star here is the pizza. The crust and sauce are very good, nice spice level. They are generous with their toppings which results in a very satisfying pizza. We had the artichoke dip as an appetizer. Along with a 12 inch pizza and we were happily full. Service was great, attentive but not obtrusive. Between salads, various appetizers and a myriad of veggie pizza combos a vegetarian can fare well here. Very trippy game room...tres outre! Good food and nice ambiance makes for a pleasant experience. Check it out. You'll be glad you did.

If you like thin crust pizza... this is your place! The Pizza Garden has been around Manitowoc in one shape or the other for a long time. (Since 1957). But this new location is BY FAR the nicest! Really impressed with the way they remade this old hardware store into an open space restaurant and nice barroom with street view seating. I'm also very impressed with the pizza. I am a thin crust fan and have always loved the Pizza Garden pies. If I had one improvement, I would suggest more toppings.... a little on the skippy side. But I would say that there is more than they have put on in the past. So it's an improvement! I would guess that with this new restaurant, great location and bar, that they will do very well in Downtown Manitowoc. Always loved the pizza, now I love the actual restaurant too!

Appreciate the attempt at legitimate cracker-style crust, which is way too hard to find these days, but overall it could be better. For the 12" and larger pizza, the pizzas cease to be crisp after a few inches in from the edge. That means you're dealing with a floppy slice experience once you get to the middle portions. This is even kind of true for the 10" pizzas. The Garden Special is pretty good. I would've preferred a bit more spice and less sweetness to the sauce, but I'd certainly have it again. (The question on whether I wanted canned or fresh mushrooms caught me off guard. I ordered fresh.) On the flip side, the Margherita pizza doesn't really work. The flavors were way too sweet, and overall it was a bad match for the crust. The build your own pizzas were fine, but again again could've had more spice. Expect veggies to be chopped pretty fine (which makes sense considering the type of crust). On the appetizer side, the cubed cheese curds felt like an affront to god, but were good when dipped in the cranberry sauce. In all, I wouldn't veto going here again, but I wouldn't seek it out. Also, where are the pigeons?

Had pizza with a friend and got a pizza . Absolutely delicious with crispy bottom and the perfect Amy of toppings, and it's not heavy either, perfect. We also had their Potstickers, also amazing appetizer. This is definitely Manitowoc's hidden gem . Great staff and a great price!

Amazing, we love the super special with pineapple and not green pepper and either the cheese curds or wings. Simply delicious!!

Favorite pizza around. Great thin crust, and lots of options for toppings. Very nice place to dine at as well.

First time here, wasn't overly impressed, but I'm going to give it another try after they have…read morebeen open for a while. Their other location in Two Rivers does a great job, but I think they are trying some different ideas here and might be working out some kinks with new staff right now. One example is the changing menus. On Saturday Night they do a Steak Night with a limited menu. I have to admit, my wife and I came in to try their pizza and it wasn't on the menu on a Saturday. We decided to stay and eat off their Saturday Menu, but we did see two tables of people come in, look at the menu and leave. Not good! The steak menu was priced (approx) $30-40, and I think it was a bit of a shock when you come in for a burger and fries or pizza! They also change their menus on Tuesday and Wednesday. All seems a bit confusing, but once the regulars are developed it probably won't be as big a problem. Right now, I'd say check their menu on Facebook be for you come in. Tonight we ordered the Smothered Chicken and the Ribeye Sandwich along with an Onion Ring Appetizer. The rings were a little overdone and kind of heavy with oil. Good size, but would only order them again if I knew they wouldn't be overcooked. The Smothered Chicken was on of tonight's "specials", so it wasn't in the written menu. The waitress should have told us it was Cajun Spiced when she shared the specials (my wife doesn't like Cajun). Would have definitely ordered something else. The bun on the Ribeye Sandwich was excellent. The steak was very tender, but maybe too tender. It just seemed that it was missing the normal texture expected in steak. Also, they don't have A1 Steak Sauce (which would have been great with this sandwich) which I thought was weird, especially since it was "steak night"! The only sauce they had was mayo based. They do something I've not seen before with the bill. They add the tax to each individual item before they total the bill. Confusing when trying to figure out the tip. I did find a price error on one of my items, which they corrected when I pointed it out. (Onion Rings were listed at $7 , but he computer picked them at $8.33). Probably a programming error or a menu misprint, either way, they fixed it!

THEN I had LOBSTER ! The chef made it so perfect, tender, like char grilled flavorful even. Better than ANY Red lobster (not putting Red lobster down ) WOW, I decided to tip HER too, the Chef!!! Seriously one of Manitowoc's best newer, classy but comfortable nice restaurants. Check em out, support their small business. Also, come summertime, they have outdoor seating available, TVs for watching sports, everything under the sun (nearly). Blessings to all!

Ambience and Experience: We were looking for a good Italian place and it had good reviews on Google…read moreso we decided to give this place a shot. You order at the bar and then wait in that area until you are seated at a table in the dining room. While we waited, we decided to try a couple of their fall cocktails. Not great, the drinks were very weak and you could tell were made with the cheapest booze available. Presentation was neat but the first sip quickly disintegrated the hype. Food: I have a nagging suspicion that most of what we ordered was not made fresh in-house. Everyone at our table ordered pasta except for one kid's meal and when glancing around at the tables around us, everyone had ordered just pizza. I think that is what this place is know for because their pasta ain't it. My wife and I tried the gnocchi and ravioli. You could tell they were not made in-house, especially the gnocchi (gummy, chewy texture is a dead giveaway. True homemade gnocchi will melt in your mouth). The sauces lacked spunk and everything just tasted canned and frozen to me. Portion sizes were also on the smaller side yet prices were expensive. $18 for frozen/packaged ravioli in a maybe homemade sauce (didn't taste like it)? Yeah right. Every chef knows that pasta is an easy dish to make good money on because pasta is cheap and easy to make, $18 for pasta with no protein additions is absurd. I will say the kid's pizza was probably the best dish on the table. You could tell that was made fresh and with real ingredients. Not sure why that did not translate to the pastas. So weird. Verdict: Staff were friendly and service was prompt but the food and drinks were lackluster at best. Not worth the price for a sit down meal, more along the line of quick service. Not sure if something was just off the night we went since this place is fairly well liked in the area, not sure.

I keep going back and forth on my review. One thing to note, the fried ravioli appetizer is spicy,…read morelike jalapeño flavor. I wish the menu stated this or the server told us. Too spicy for me. I ordered the daily special. Pasta, chicken, asparagus, tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, shaved Parmesan cheese with a garlic olive oil sauce. It was boring. No flavor, hardly any parm cheese and no sun dried tomatoes. My hubby got the stuffed shells and it was really good! He ordered a side of meatball and sausage but there was no sauce. Just odd. He had to ask for extra sauce. The cheesy garlic bread and minestrone soup are yummy. Some delicious meals and some meals eh. I will be back. I just need to stick with the baked penne and meatball. Always good service.
