They call it Roman style pizza, in that the dough is made fresh in-house in the same manner the traditional Roman pizza (think thick, rectangular pizza) dough is made, but as a "pie" shape, you get a light, crunchy edge and crispy thin crust. It was unlike anything I've had in the Milwaukee area. My friend and I also started with glass of Macedonian pinot noir and finished with a traditionally small pour of Vin Chaud, which is similar to mulled wine. Both were fantastic! There are some gems in Elkhart Lake, and Harry's is one of them. I highly recommend you add Harry's to your list when in or near Elkhart Lake. There are two indoor bar areas with plenty of outdoor seating. On the second floor is a spacious ballroom accommodating over 300 people adjacent to a large outdoor balcony. For weddings there are bride and groom suites. The hardworking owners have full-time days jobs and together with some friends converted the building to this amazing facility. That seems to be the norm these days though, but for me it overwhelms the rest of the ingredients. I'd rotate between the two, but not sure if I'll get light sausage when I order. Anyway, the pizza is fantastic. Sauce for me is what it makes it, but crest and cheese are spot on as well. I do love garlic bread, specifically cheese garlic bread, and have had both. This has seemingly changed recently, but anytime I've had it it's been good as well. Currently it's more of a traditional garlic bread delivery which is slightly better. They do have two locations which is nice. One is dine-in, but they do accommodate orders if to go if needed. The other is the Uptown Sline Depot which is a to-go location. The restaurant, which used to be Gus' Pizza, with the pizza prep area in the front window, was reconfigured and remodeled several years ago. We sat at the bar and boards on the wall noted drink specials, food specials, and mocktails. They also had about 10 draft beers available. We ordered some garlic cheese bread, and I had a red wine while we waited for our pepperoni sausage pizza. If seated at the bar, you can order there, otherwise there is a station where you can order and then head to a table to wait for your food or wait to grab carryout. They had two double deck ovens, and were busy, but our service was attentive. The dining area was full early on a Saturday night with families and sports teams. Our pizza, with house made crust, and hand seasoned sauce had delicious flavors with a sausage nugget carefully placed on each pepperoni slice.
