Pizza Break - Large 3 Topping $9.99 (bacon, mushroom, pepperoni), best deal in town
    Mike H.

Typically, I'm not a big fan of the slice. But with all of the positive reviews I decided to drop by Pizza Break. Their pickup special is the large 3 topping for $9.99. It's quite the deal as it turned out they don't mess around on this 14" (10 slices). Choices are aplenty with eight meats and 22 veggie topping options. By my math, that's over 4000 combinations! Played it safe on my first visit and went with the Canadian: bacon, mushroom and pepperoni. First thing I noticed out of the box was they thankfully didn't skimp on the toppings and the bacon was actually bacon, not the lesser bits. The dough was soft and chewy with a nice crisp that really brought the whole thing together. I'll be back for a pizza break.

It was so good, we were so busy eating and forgot to take pics till the end LOL

Love it. Tried them out for the 1st time tonight. We splurged and didn't get the $9.99 deal LOL we spent 18.99, we should've just spread out our ingredients and get 2 $9.99 pizza instead. The pizza is full of ingredients and the dough is soft, chewy and crispy on the outside. We've been looking for a good pizza place for so long, thank god we found this place

Large pizza, regular crust, mushrooms, chicken, and Italian sausage

I was feeling lazy after orchestra rehearsal on Sunday evening, so I decided to try Pizza Break. There were a few ongoing specials. The takeout special was $10 for a large pizza with 3 toppings. I decided on mushrooms, chicken, and Italian sausage for the toppings. 20 minutes later and it's ready for pick up. It's in the same plaza as Ay Caramba, so it was easy to find. The restaurant is pretty small with only a few tables. It's definitely a take out joint. When I took a bite into the first slice of pizza, I could taste the freshness of the ingredients. The fresh tomato sauce really popped out the most. The crust was crunchy on the outside yet with a slight softness on the inside. I'd definitely come back.

$9.99 for a large 3 toppings pizza! What a deal, can't really complain there. But not only is Pizza Break well priced, the pizza is just as impressive! I've been here 2 times and I am amazed by how good it is. The crust is not overly doughy and thick, just a perfect ratio and it was also a little bit crispy, which I love! They do not cheap out on the ingredients, they really to pile it on, making every bite so heavenly. We always call over the phone to order and would pick it up in 20 mins. Never had we had to wait longer. I wish they had more locations that's closer to me cause it would definitely be my go to spot for pizza. Unlike the large chain pizza stores that's overpriced and doesn't even taste great. I recommend giving Pizza Break a try if you're ever in the area!

Had the infamous large 3 topping for $9.99 and no complaints! Great taste and proportions were good, although I would maybe try getting extra sauce but the crust and toppings were perfect, and with a bit of a toasted crunch on top which I enjoyed! I also appreciate the use of real bacon strips and not that crumble crap. Fast service, well priced and appropriate hours, would definitely recommend!

Just ordered a Large pizza from 'Pizza Break' through Skip The Dishes. This was my first time ordering from this place, so I thought I would try something new rather than my usual pizza choice. I was NOT disappointed, the pizza looked and tasted great! It was stated that it would take about 60 minutes to Arrive, but the whole delivery took about 38 minutes from the moment I placed my order, to the tome it arrived. The portion is larger than the usual standard, I order a thin crust which was made really great..and since this was my first time, I went a little far with the toppings and they all tasted so well and worked all together. Delivery was fast, and presentation of the pizza was very appetizing. I will certainly try them again in the near future.

Large pizza with spinach, artichoke and chicken

Did a quick take out order of one large pizza to try this place out because of the high reviews and I can say I wasn't disappointed! The large pizza was only $9.99 and we got three toppings on it; artichokes, spinach, and chicken. It was cooked and ready for us by the time we requested for over the phone. The pizza itself was very well made with the ingredients being fresh. You wont be disappointed by the quality and taste of this pizza. And plus it's cheap and worth it!

    $5!! Good deal

I'd rate it a 4, but my wife, son(1of2) and sister would not have that. The price $. Lowest in Vaughan. Service excellent, fast friendly. Taste good not great, I think my other family members are blinded by the price. Toppings if you get the special walkin(4.99) you'll get fewer toppings, vs regular fare(I'm not complaining just stating a fact) Location, small quiet plaza, difficult to get out of during dinner rush(blaming the not so courteous drivers on the road). Been lots of times, today just did the cheap 4.99 medium walkout(you can call it in and pick it up unlike the giant chain that has the same for 5.99, they're a 2 star, I don't think the 7.99 "authentic Italian" place let me call it in either) Will return do recommend

It would be a bit of a pain to get to by transit from Vaughan Metropolitan Centre though. Inside, it's spacious and open, with a massive wine rack right at the front. They also have two separate areas: the main dining room and a "next door" section that's basically its own room, which is nice if you want a slightly different vibe. Service: 3.5/5 They get busy (like "book days in advance" busy), so service can be a little inconsistent. Sometimes it took a while for our server to swing by, but food came out in a reasonable timeframe once we ordered. Definitely recommend reserving ahead. Food: 3.5/5 Big Italian menu with lots of pasta and pizza options, plus mains like chicken parm, lamb chops, and branzino. The wine and cocktail lists are extensive, which fits the whole "giant wine wall" aesthetic. The Caesar salad was honestly the standout, really well done. The starter bread was a miss for us: a bit stale and not warmed, like it had been sitting out for a while. Dessert, though, redeemed things. The dessert menu has a lot of variety, and the toffee dessert our server recommended was great, especially with the vanilla ice cream. Overall, solid spot with real highlights, but I'd love to see more consistency across the rest of the menu.

Mama Mia! Is this the best pizza in town?…read more I finally came to check out the top reviewed pizza shop in Vaughan. Taste of Naples Pizzeria is hugely popular for locals here with many Italians in the area. The 16" pizza yielded 8 large tasty slices with a soft light pizza crust, fresh tomato sauce & good topping ingredients. Crisp thin crust bottom gave a nice finish. This is a real Neopolitan pizza that's a touch better than I've had elsewhere. You do pay a bit more for the quality compared to another local fav next door. Be sure to order takeout early as we encountered a queue but our pizza was ready in a timely manner. Just wait for your number to be displayed outside before heading in to pickup. I had never been here before, so there was a brief hesitation since I thought this could either make me look like a foodie genius or a complete fraud. But then I saw photos of the beautiful olive tree in the dining room and thought, well... any restaurant confident enough to put a tree in the middle probably knows what it's doing. I was sold. The verdict? I'm glad I brought them--though there was one small caveat. The one con: We started with the Vegetarian Board. The vegetables were fresh and well-cooked, but I have to call out a small disappointment: the menu clearly says "chef's selection of vegetables and olives." Reader, unfortunately...there were no olives. Not a single olive in sight. In a restaurant with an olive tree, no less. The irony was almost poetic. Minor false advertising aside, the broccolini was also a bit more bitter than I personally enjoy. Now the pros (and there were many): The rest of the meal was exceptional--fresh, satisfying, and very authentically Italian. To start, we had fresh bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The olive oil alone almost stole the show. It was incredibly fragrant, with that bright, crisp olive flavour that lingers on your palate like it was pressed five minutes ago. I may or may not have eaten more bread than dignity allows. For my main, I had the pasta special of the day: oxtail casarecce, and it was fantastic. The sauce was creamy and packed with umami. The oxtail was tender and chewy at the same time, somehow both hearty and melt-in-your-mouth. And the pasta itself was clearly fresh--springy, perfectly textured. Fresh pasta really does make all the difference. My coworker ordered the paccheri con zucchine e gamberetti, which I sampled strictly for research purposes. It was lighter and refreshing, with delicate zucchini that made the whole dish feel balanced and satisfying. My other colleague went with the daily secondi special: pesce alla griglia (sea bream). I also tried a bite of that, and it was excellent--crispy skin on the outside, tender and flaky inside, juicy and full of flavour. The only small drawback was that the sides were the exact same vegetables as the ones from our Vegetarian Board, so by round two my colleague was a little overwhelmed by the déjà-vu of vegetables. Then came dessert--easily everyone's favourite part of the night. Two of us ordered the tiramisu, and honestly, it might be one of the best I've had. When they serve it, they pour a freshly brewed shot of espresso over the top, which soaks into the layers and perfectly complements the mascarpone and cream underneath. It was ridiculously good. Our other coworker ordered the pistachio strawberry cake and absolutely demolished it in about two seconds flat, which I think is the highest possible dessert endorsement. Price-wise: this isn't a cheap casual spot, but it's very reasonable for a high-quality dinner. My pasta, dessert, and service came out to almost $70, which felt fair for the experience. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm, and overall we had a genuinely lovely dinner. Most importantly, bringing my coworkers here made me look like I actually know what I'm doing when recommending restaurants--which is always a win. Olives or not, I'd happily come back. And next time, I'm thinking date night.
