I ordered 2 large pizzas last night from this location. I ordered 1 large pepperoni and 1 large pepperoni with Italian sausage. I had it delivered to my house, and when I opened the boxes, I found that there were 2 large pepperoni pizzas only. When I spoke to the gentleman over the phone with ordered, I originally said I wanted 2 pepperoni and Italian sausage pizzas. He informed me that an added topping would be extra, which was different from the promo I received that stated a 2 large 2 topping pizza for 27.99. Even though I didn't understand the change in pricing, I told him to change the order to 1 pepperoni and 1 pepperoni and Italian sausage so that I wouldn't be charged double on meat. I called today to share my disappointment for the order, as it was my first time ordering from this place. I shared my concerns with a woman named Rose who communicated that there shouldn't have been an extra charge for the 2 topping pizza, as they are the same price. This made me more upset because I would have just kept my original order of 2 large pizzas, both pepperoni and Italian sausage. I'm disappointed in the lack of attention to detail, which made my experience less than ideal. Here we go again. When you just want to like a place.... Ordered a pepperoni pizza and 2 sub specials 1/2 sub, chips and diet Pepsi. Price $28.99 for delivery 45 minute wait. Ok it's Friday. No problem. So delivery driver comes and I have $3.00 tip with my total price already prepared. Here comes the disappointment. I'm sorry ma'am but, I forgot the 2 chips and 2 sodas. He gives me $2.00 back. I call back to store to state what happened. I'm placed on hold while they call the driver who states he gave me $2.00 back. Ok so basically I paid for my half ass meal and you still were tiped $1.01. I suggest since I paid for the chips and soda that it could be credited to my account for the next time. They tell me that they don't do credits anymore. Ok so is he gonna bring to me what he forgot? I'm told that's why he gave me the $2.00 back. So I not only paid for my meal and he still got the $1.01 tip and we are out of chips and soda. People order stuff because what they order is normally not something that they currently have in the house and furthermore because that's what they wanted. This does it for me. Ordered 2 plain 8" cheesesteaks with american cheese, mozzarella sticks, and fries through grubhub. Side Note: Have ordered from these guys no problem for going on 5 years now since moving back to Baltimore and living in Mt. Washington area. Added up my grubhub history and since beginning of June 2016 have spent exactly $820.43 with this business. Expand that out to 5 years and I could very well be one of their most loyal customers. Mozzarella sticks and fries were normal and fine. The cheesesteaks came loaded with toppings but very little meat (mayo, lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, onions, maybe even forgetting some) which destroyed the sandwiches and made them soggy disgusting messes. Tried to take a bite to see if still edible but no. I've got a history ordering there and they usually "deliver". Called back to explain that the order was wrong and requested 2 new steaks as I ordered them. Easy right? End of story? No. Got a phone call 30 minutes after that from someone who worked there (day manager maybe the cook he did not introduce himself?) demanding that I return the sandwiches in exchange for new ones, which is implying that I am trying to steal from them by getting two extra sandwiches. I did not appreciate this insinuation as mentioned I have spent likely a couple thousand dollars with them over the last 5 years. I explained that we had tried to take a bite of them before realizing the extent of the terribleness of the sandwiches... and then threw them in our trash can. I got heated with this staff member and I told him his driver could come see the sandwiches in our trash can. I told him that we threw them out after trying to take one bite to see if they were still edible. Hey, they are usually good at this so... He then tried to explain to me in about 5 different ways how "business works" and how does it look if I bought something from a store and came to ask for a new item because the original was broken without returning the original item. Apparently he needed to show the sandwich to his manager? That's not how food service works buddy... what are you going to do? Resell it? Scrap it for parts? That's absolutely ridiculous. Never in my decade+ history of ordering food from restaurants and them getting the order wrong has ever resulted in returning the original food. A few weeks ago (5/15/17), Pepe's Pizza down the street from this place on Falls Road sent me the wrong pizza. They made it right by apologizing and sending the RIGHT pizza in an even larger size than we had ordered in the first place. I asked him if he was insinuating that I was attempting to steal from them. I said he could check my order history on Grubhub and that I've spent thousands of dollars with the business over the last 5 years. We just want what we ordered! I told him what he was implying and that if he continued down this path it would result in a terrible yelp review and filing a complaint with the credit card company. He then continued to try to get the sandwiches back. After a few more moments of hopeless argument he hung up on me. They never sent us the correct sandwiches, but we don't want them now anyway. Well, here is a terrible yelp! review. I will never buy a single thing from them ever again. I know several people that live in the apartment community around me who I originally recommended to use this business. Occasionally friends visiting in need of a bite have order here on my recommendation. They will be hearing about this too. Photos to be uploaded after the review is submitted. The wrap bread was hard and probably old, the chicken was ok but compared to the amount of lettuce and sauce I couldn't even tell where the little bit of chicken was. I ordered spaghetti today and asked to have meat sauce added. I have never seen a spaghetti like this in my life. This spaghetti had ten pounds of cheese on the top. Service is absolutely deplorable. I received a bottle of soda with ants in it (within the cap, where you would drink from) and it was then made my problem to deal with it. When I called to ask for a new bottle to be delivered, I was told I could drive to pick it up, or I could have a free bottle with my next order. I informed the person that I would like the soda that I ordered delivered (2 miles). I was put on hold. I repeated my story and my request to the next person. I was put on hold. I repeated my story and request again- I was told that all of the drivers were out and they would not have any to deliver to me. I repeated my request again. I was put on hold. I was then told a new bottle would be delivered. The new bottle was delivered. I showed the delivery person the old bottle with ants, and he told me to keep it (I believe this was a manager of sorts). I walked into my house, opened the new bottle, and was greeted with more ants! He was driving away as I went back to the door. I then drove to the store, with both ant-laden bottles. I informed them that I would like a new bottle, with no ants please. I took the last one they had, opened it in front of them, and was relieved there were no ants. My problem with all of this is- if a customer calls you and tells you that you served them food contaminated with insects, your first thought should not be to inconvenience the customer- your first thought should be to run a new bottle to them as soon as possible and apologize profusely. Working in the food industry, I understand that creepy crawlies sometimes happen. But in this case, the customer is always right and the business should do everything it can to cover its butt and provide the customer with whatever he/she needs. I should not have to drive to get my own 'non-ant' bottle of soda, and be told, repeatedly, "it came like that". Where the ants came from is not my concern- my concern is a company selling me a contaminated product and not doing anything to remedy the problem. I will never be ordering from these people again. Tonight we got a cheese steak sub and a cheeseburger sub from them. We usually skip this place but because it was a holiday our normal place was closed. Anyway, my husband nearly cracked a tooth on a piece of bone in his cheesesteak sub (low-grade meat). And I had to throw away the whole cheeseburger sub because it tasted as if the low-grade burger meat had gone bad. Needless to say - we won't be ordering from them again. You get quite a bit for an order and we look forward to the fries just as much as the sub which is also very very good. This is among our first choices for carry out.
