Writing this review hurts. Venus was our go to spot for pizza and wings since moving to the area 8 years ago. Lately they have been disappointing but we still would order. Well with last night's order we are done. We get the everything pizza as usual but there was only a sprinkle of cheese. The pizza was dough and toppings is all we tasted. The lemon pepper wings were dark with no flavor and dry. Come on now you have to do better. To much competition in the area. Well we are taking our talents to Frank's. read more

After months of contemplating visiting this spot, I finally pulled the trigger today, and I was impressed. I ordered 10 wings and fries (safe bet), and they were good. And to my shocker, they gave me 12 instead of 10. They were fried with a very thin coating of flavor versus straight naked. The cons, they only gave me one blue cheese for 12 wings.....like seriously, and they left them in the frier a minute too long. I know some ppl love their wings fried hard, but I'm not one of them. I'll definitely come back in the future. And I loved that they put the wings in their own container wrapped in foil to keep them out. read more

If I could give 1/2 star I would. Food was cold and burnt and I live less than a mile away. Delivery driver was rude after a 20% tip. Never received my complete order and management would not compensate. Year after year I try because they used to be great but now they are horrible. Don't waste your money!!! read more

I ordered DoorDash from this establishment yesterday order arrived fast and the food was hot. Everything was tasty but I asked for extra cheese on my pizza and even paid extra for extra cheese. They skipped the extra and just had regular cheese on my pizza. The wings were good. I will give them another chance but they better not play with my cheese again! read more

This place has seriously gone downhill. I ordered a Chicken Caesar wrap tonight and they asked me what I wanted on it. How about what it says on the menu? When I said I wanted everything that comes with it, I meant what it said on the menu. Not hots and onions! Who puts that on a Chicken Caesar wrap? This is the only place I have ever ordered from that does not know what a Chicken Caesar wrap is. I called them and asked them to send me another one and this time there was no dressing! Seriously? What do they think Caesar means? It was basically just a regular chicken wrap with an addition of wilted lettuce and disgusting tomato. So i placed an order thru their website after getting a discount code on a text message.... so i ordered 2 12 " subs and a 2 liter of soda....... was $38.--with a $4 tip.... the food took 1 1/2 to get instead of 45 mins.... HOWEVER.... when i looked at my order, i was sent a 12" and a 6 " even though i ordered and paid for 2 12" subs..... this WAS THE SECOND & final chance for this place..... tons of other places and with the prices creeping up and forced tips on delivery orders..... We have ordered from Venus Pizza 8-10 times a year for several years now. They have my favorite cheese pizza and white pizza in the area (New York style with a slightly sweet crust with well blended cheese, and a white pizza that has a great sauce.) Their subs are typically decent, one of my top favorites in the area. Until tonight. For some reason, the third of our three 12" cheesesteak subs became a mysterious all bread, practically topping-and-meat-free disaster. I unwrapped the deli paper, and pulled the sandwich in half at the chef's cut line and kept it held together in the tinfoil it came in. One glance was all it took to question the preparation of the sub. The entire toppings, cheese and meat amounted to a quarter sized wide portion in the center of a giant loaf of bread. This was like a jelly donut where there is only one bite of jelly in the whole breadtopia of flavor, and they want to convince you that it is a jelly donut. My husband spoke to a female staffer who offered a partial credit due to their busy night, but we were a hungry family who paid for delivery so that we could relax so we requested that they make another sub and deliver it. Not a hard request from a food place that churns out subs all night. We offered the current sub back in an effort to be fully honest and not take free food, and to show them the mistake so that a quick preparation during a busy time wouldn't lead to the same error for other customers. She said that it would take a long time to send a replacement, which was expected for a Saturday night. We called back at 11:30 (after an initial call at 9:30), and she said "it is on its way" and hung up. 15 minutes before close, we still hadn't received it. The person who cooked the meal spoke to us at that time. He said he personally cooked it and put "lots of meat" on all of the subs. I've attached photos of the unaltered sub as part of this review. Next to a quarter. Which is placed right up against the meat, so there is no perspective error. Want a video? I have that, too. This thing was just that unreal. It was a bread sub, with a hint of meat. At 12:10, we did get a new sub, but not before being offered an 8" sub as a replacement to the 12" we had paid for. And, that was after an argument with the chef, which made my husband feel bad, me feel hangry, and both of us confused about the quality of the food and the customer service. Usually this place is a 10. A solid 10. We're repeat customers that constantly hit the "reorder" button on Grubhub. But be warned, one day you may get a "lots of meat" sub that ends up a bread tube with a hot dog sized portion of ingredients. read more

Love their pizza and wings! Got 1 large pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. The cheese pull is real yall! I recommend the extra cheese part! It's the perfect amount of crust for those who don't like thick crusts. I also got 12 wings, half Golden bbq (my favorite) and the other half thai chili (my second favorite)! They have the best wings I have found here in Baltimore and would recommend them for anyone looking for some delicious wings that will make you wanna slap yo mama! They have plenty of flavors and seasonings to choose from. Their cheesesteaks are meh, but not everyone can get everything perfectly delicious! The only complaint I had was no contact delivery. I left the driver instructions to leave it on the porch and knock once NO CONTACT AT ALL. He proceeded to knock 5 times getting louder each time as I'm yelling I'm coming. (Was occupied at that moment). Once I did answer, the guy had NO MASK, and obviously no contact means no contact but if you're going to just ignore that, atleast wear a mask! Ordered from this place previous times without any issues but today the customer service was horrible. I placed a order for delivery XL pepperoni and wings. When the driver alerted me he was at my apt I gave him directions on how to get into the building because I live in a secured building. He never went to the call box to be buzzed in I called him back to see where he was no answer. I then decided to go to the front lobby to see if he was there he wasn't I called him again and he was just getting out his vehicle. Once I opened the pizza box the pizza was completely inedible I called the store back to make a complaint and they were completely nonchalant about the entire ordeal. I asked for a refund they told me they could refund me for the food the could only remake the pizza which would have taken another hour or so or give a store credit on my account. Quick review : Their Greek Pizza was delicious and the crust on the pizza was flaky and absolutely delicious to dip in the garlic sauce.

Ordered lunch here with about 10 coworkers on 2.21.2020. They were accommodating by allowing us to place our order when they opened at 10, and deliver it at noon. They also labeled the food with everyone's name per our request and did a order of all flats for wings for one of my coworkers. They arrived on time (a few minutes early actually). Prices were reasonable. I got a cheesesteak in a bowl and it was pretty good, typical cheesesteak. Nothing to write home about, but good. Between the lack of attention when taking my order to the quality of food, Im certain today was my last time ordering from Venus. The last THREE times that I've ordered, something has gone wrong, but I've continued to be a loyal customer because the food was always tasty. That changed today. A couple of months ago, I ordered a chicken cheesesteak through Uber eats and was sent a BEEF cheesesteak. I do not eat beef! I called the shop and was given a hard time- they suggested that I come in to get a replacement (excuse me?) but eventually sent a replacement. This was a huge inconvenience, to say the least. The last time I ordered, prior to today, I was at the shop waiting for an extended time, when all along my food was ready and getting cold. Somehow I was missed and no one ever told me my food was ready! Today I placed an order via phone and the driver delivered a regular coke, when I clearly asked for a diet (my receipt said "coke" so the order taker wasn't listening)so I did not accept it. Also, the chicken cheesesteak was horrible! Like the worst that I've ever tasted. I'm in between do I want to save it for tomorrow or throw it away. I ordered the Regular Cheese Pizza and Hot BBQ Boneless Wings. The delivery was a bit delayed, so unfortunately the pizza did not come too hot. However, that didn't alter the taste too much. The pizza was still nice and cheesy, and the crust had a nice flavor to it. I will try the pizza again, and hopefully it'll come hot so I can get the complete taste of the pizza. I had a cheesesteak today with hardly any meat! It was the flatest sub I've ever had, and the fries are never full. This happened two times consecutively! I love Venus Pizza. They never disappoint. You know how you have a favorite Chinese take out spot, taco shop, or ice cream parlor? Well, this is my favorite gyro and wing shop! Their wings are so delicious & perfectly fried. They have over 30 flavors, mine being the 24k wings. Sweet, yet slightly spicy. The gyros are like no other. I've been to other places and tried their gyros, but Venus tops them all. The meat is seasoned so well. The pita is fresh and buttery & the tzatziki sauce is A-1! Cool, fresh and the perfect finishing touch to an already delicious wrap. The dining area is clean. Pizzeria style. Nothing fancy, but nice for a casual dinner. read more

Have gone to Venus for many years. Have moved to York, PA and made a point of stopping to take pizza back with us. Yesterday order 2 The Works. When we got home we found them to be an embarrassment. The pizza were ordered on line and were sitting out in less then 20 minutes. The bottoms were over done. The edge of the crust did not rise properly and appeared partially raw. The pepperoni was actually burnt. When we tried to reheat it, the cheese wouldn't even melt. They were not edible. A long trip from York, PA wasted. read more

The pizza crust is delicious, they have a pretty standard balance of the pizza ingredients, and they don't do crazy surplus on the cheese like lots of delivery pizza joints. Solid balance. Wings are better than many, we don't like the hard cooked wings that get dry, here they are juicy and a reasonable size. Again, solid. What we really love at Venus is the sense of service to their customers. We almost always get our food piping hot, early, and the drivers are so generous and pleasant. They call to let you know your food is there. We've always felt well cared for and considered by their staff. We are a family of four and it means something to us to not have to stress about some meals. We've had experiences with other direct delivery pizza and wings, but every time we stay we come back to reliable and generous Venus. read more

Still, the thing that will make me question every coming back here is THE BATHROOOM! It was DISGUSTING! Seriously, does the health department not visit this place? The toilet seat was discolored, and if whatever was on it was indeed just a stain and not poop, they need to make a trip to Home Depot and buy a new one. There was a dead fly laying on the sink, and the faucet was so broken, I'm surprised it worked. You could tell by the dirt in all the corners that the floor hadn't been mopped the night before.
