If the dictionary had a photo of a hidden gem, a who woulda thought, an outta the way place..... ok…read moreyou get the idea. This place, is that place! Oh my gosh, we were out this way, without much breakfast had, so looking for brunch-ish? Ronny's was outstanding! We missed the lunch rush I think, more were leaving than coming in, but I'd say they do a good lunch, or people wouldn't be there. Did I mention they are out of the way a bit? Don't let that deter you, go there, and you'll be like us, will find a way to decide, we need to go to Maple Ridge! I love the interior with a splash of Italia, but decor is full of understanding what the purpose is. It's about feeding people in the traditional sense. You can eat in, take away ready, or take it home warm it up and feed your family. How refreshing it is for us that love the old world mindset. K's Chef's Special with fries was so good. The fries remained hot until the last one was devoured, how do they do that? She ate half the sandwich and had to box the other half. My borscht side with my Turkey BL sandwich was so good I also brought a half sandwich home. I could have finished it, but we would have had to stop for a nap prior to getting all the way home. This might surprise those that have read this far, but we are going back for sure, and you should find a reason to do the same.

Very flavorful in the mouth too and the delicious dressing keeps on dripping. I've upgraded my sides to Yam Fries and they're okay.

Andiamo's Pizza & Pasta House in Maple Ridge - 20726 Lougheed Hwy…read more We tried the Meat Good and Butter Chicken pizzas, and OMG - hands down the BEST Butter Chicken pizza in Maple Ridge! Real, HUGE chunks of chicken, perfect-sized tomatoes and onions, and that buttery sauce? I'm wondering if they went next door to GM for those top-notch ingredients! We've had other Butter Chicken pizzas in town, but none even come close. The Meat Good pizza was loaded with layered meat but wasn't soggy at all - you know how some meat pizzas can get? The cheese on both? Absolute perfection! I saw they only have a 3.8 rating online and honestly, why?? Must be from the previous ownership because this place is a gem. The owners/family were so friendly too! We live across town in Yennadon, and I passed at least 6 pizza spots to get to Andiamo's - and guess what? I'll keep doing it! Seriously, check out these photos! Give them a try - you won't be disappointed!

I do not say such things lightly, as I spent many years in the business myself, and judge others work against my own. The owner/manager/chef is real people and cares about his customers, which is increasingly hard to find these days. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys this kind of food!

They only have one server in front that handles billing and such but it's not busy most times (which is a surprise cause food is really good), so the wait isn't that much. I wanted to try La Trattoria to have a different Italian restaurant experience…read more When I came in, I adored the elegant interion design of the restaurant; from the wine racks to the captivating murals all around the dining area. The establishment even played calming Italian music, rather the typical radio songs you hear at most restaurants. When I arrived, I was immediately given a table and was told the dinner specials for the day. Despite the staff shortage, the waitress that waited on me was very kind and professional when she filled my water glass very often and seemed glad working there. I ordered the Anitra Frangelico, which was Sanoma duck breast with cream sauce. The duck was good on its own while the sauce made everything more exuberant, along with the grilled vegetables and potatoes. My only complaint about the restaurant is how pricy the entrees are, which granted, this is a high-quality restaurant. I recommend this place for romantic dinners between couples of all ages. I will come back to La Trattoria and try their pasta courses.

However, we really enjoy the food and coziness of the room so we have continued to make Henry's one of our regular dining experiences. We were going to make reservations for later this month when I noticed a line on their website saying that a 20% gratuity had been added to the bill. I thought that maybe it was a line that had been added on because of New Year's Eve or at that the prices on the menu now reflected the 20% gratuity and no further tipping would be required. My husband sent an email to Henry's asking them to clarify what the policy was. We received a response from Jasmine "20% will be add on. It does not refer only to groups but also to each individual consumer". Sadly, we will not be going to Henry's anymore. The food is very good but the prices are already very high. We were at a Seasons in the Park last night. Their prices are less than Henry's. The setting is nicer, service was outstanding and food is very bit as good as Henry's.

We walked into the restaurant without any customers. A server seated us right away. Her service was great knowing that it was our first time to eat here and letting us know what was special and what we should try. We ordered mussels with white wine, tomatoes and herbs as appetizers and our main dishes were Penne Alfredo and Linguine Pescatora. Penne Alfredo was just a simple dish of penne with white creamy sauce and Parmesan cheese, but OMG! It was extraordinarily delicious! Chef Henry could cook this simple dish so well that I could 100% guarantee it is hard to find such a good simple dish in Greater Vancouver. Linguine Pescatora was full of seafood (shrimps, mussels, clams, scallops, and calamari) in a light spicy tomato sauce. The seafood was fresh (not frozen ones) and the texture of linguine was firm and chewy. Everything was irresistible. We would love to visit this restaurant and try other dishes in the near future. It was worth a trip to come all the way to Port Moody and eat the pasta here. (This pasta restaurant was originally located in Vancouver West.).
