One of the best crusts around. the sauce, while mild, is very well balanced. The cheese they use is seems to be of a better quality than most places, as it is not plasticy or gummy and doesn't pour orange grease off. The grandma's pie is a little salty, but delicious nonetheless. My favorite, though, is sausage with broccoli rabe. I made the mistake of ordering from Pizza 2000 after being disappointed with the food there before. So I don't know what possessed me! We ordered a baked ziti slice of pizza and a chicken caesar wrap with french fries. My husband picked the food up. He didn't think to check it but they sent a Sicilian slice, the french fries were cold and the dressing on the wrap tasted like Italian dressing with some cheese in it. Oh, and I've had their pasta fagioli before which tasted like it was from a can. They delivered the baked ziti slice for us which was good, except the top of the crust was hard as a rock! Man! Harrison Pizza and Pasta's food is way better so don't be fooled by the crowds that might still be at Pizza 2000 and drive down the road a bit. I've been a customer for over 6 years but after my recent experience, will not be going back. After placing a delivery order online with an expected delivery of an hour, I called back a few times when my order showed that it hadn't left after 75 minutes. I was lied to, being told that the order was en route and their online system was not updated to reflect that it had left. If I knew the truth, I would have just cancelled the order as both my kids were starving. The order arrived after 2 hours (an hour late) and they had sent me the wrong dish. My seven year old summed it up as: "It's disappointing that the food arrived so late while I was starving but it's unacceptable that after 2 hours, we didn't receive the dish we ordered". I left a message for the owner who never called me back. I followed up to speak with him and he clearly didn't care about keeping me as a satisfied customer. Extremely Rude Service I ordered a simple salad and a pasta dish for delivery. They use cheap containers, not the kind with a plastic lid, so sauce leaked and spilled everywhere, coating the bread that came with my order, soaking it, because they did not bother to wrap the bread or use a good container. Then they forgot to include the salad dressing. For $5 for a small salad, I received a small tiny box of romaine. That is all. I called and mentioned I received no dressing. The man who answered told me it was on the side. No it is not. He said they would bring me one. It is now 30 minutes later and I live a few blocks away. It never came. Good pizza...amazing salads and chicken wings:-) Pizza 2000 has been my go-to pizza delivery place for years. The pizza is good, both in terms of the variety of pies and their quality. On occasion the crust can be a little dry, but generally they are cooked nicely. For me, the real stand outs here are the salads and their chicken wings. The salads are always well made, with well flavored dressings and generous portions. I'm now vegetarian, but growing up the chicken wings here were the best I've ever eaten. They are not buffalo wings, but the little drumstick variety. They come in mild and spicy, but all are covered with a batter that leaves the wings perfectly crunchy on the outside and perfectly moist inside. The pasta entrees are overall quite good, though I wouldn't recommend asking for whole grain pastas because the ones I've received were a little bland. I would stick with the standard white pastas they use. The service and staff is great, and is a major reason why my family has continued ordering from them for so many years. They are very popular, so sometimes there are long wait times for delivery orders, especially large ones. However, whenever we've wanted to change an order or had any problem, they were extremely helpful and got us whatever we needed, no questions asked. Came upon this place after my neighbor recommended it, never officially been there but ordered delivery a couple times. It has become my new favorite place! Where else can you get a huge salad with chicken for under $8 or broccoli rabe pasta and chicken for $13?? The best part is that the food is pretty dam good! Huge portions and cheap eats! This place has gone completely down the drain. Attended a private party here & it sucked - a complete rip off. We had 4 long tables of 10 people but they only provided 3 large pies in total as an appetizer WTF!! We told the waiter & he said sorry that's all we are allowed to give you - seriously?? The service was so slow & it took forever for them to put the buffet out & would only replenish each tray once. So beware of doing any group functions here and get everything in writing - the pizza is just average & the owner has an arrogant attitude. This is one of the better pizza places in the area. I've only had the plain cheese slices, but it's my style of pizza - thin slice and crispy dough. I've never ate at the restaurant, usually picking up my order since I live near by and I never had to wait for my order. I ordered a pizza at 5:55 after waiting to 7 pm i decided to call to see what happened. I spent 10 minutes on hold before hanging up. They showed up at 7:50. An hour and 45 minutes when the online tracker stated it would be no later than 7:05 pm. I eat at Pizza 2000 frequently. The food is always good. What Pizza 2000 severely lacks is great service. I consistently have bad service every time I eat here, as well as seeing other tables get ignored and frustrated by their server. If you ask for bread, it doesn't come. The last time I ate in, I received bread and one of my slices after we had finished eating. How is that acceptable? Just don't bring it at all! No apology from our server either. There appears to be little to no communication between the servers and cooks. I want my food to come out at the same time and I shouldn't have to ask for that. Good service AND good food are necessary when dining out. I hope pizza 2000 can improve their service. Overall, food is 5 stars and service is one star. read more

Hi, I have been a customer here since the old place, we placed an order online the first week of July. When the order came our chicken parm dinner was missing the salad, and the chicken were all very small pieces and it had a lot of grizzle in the chicken it was horrible, we never had horrible food like this. I called and spoke to someone who offered another dinner and salad to us, we said no because it was already after 9pm, so he said he would make it down and the next time we placed an order the chicken parm dinner would be free, I told the man we were leaving on vacation and would be back in 2 weeks. I called on Friday to place an order and was told I took too long to order and they would NOT give me the replacement dinner. I asked to speak to the owner John and the guy I was speaking to told me that it was John telling him to tell me they would NOT honor my replacement dinner. I then told them that I have been a loyal customer and this is how they treated me. Not nice at all. I am very disappointed that John the owner would not get on the phone and speak to me, and that he would not stand behind his word to replace this awful didn't know we had and the missing of the salad. I love this place, the food is amazing and the service is exceptional! I have managed restaurants for years and I am very critical of places I eat at. I cant find one thing to say negative about this place. The place was spotless including the restrooms and places that don't usually get cleaned like under the sandwich station(i could see under there from my seat). When the waiter brought me my salad and the tomatoes and cucumbers where cut into bite size pieces I knew this place was the real deal! There aren't too many places that take the time to prep your salad so you can actually eat it with out breaking out your steak knife. I ordered the Chicken with Broccoli Rabe with a side of Penne. The chicken was very well seasoned and the Rabe cooked perfectly. The penne had the most amazingly fresh sauce I have ever tasted. I rave about this place to everyone and every time we go to New York my hubby doesnt even have to ask where I want to eat, he already knows PIZZA 2000! read more

I am giving this one star because I can't give it zero stars - went in to have dinner with my 3 year old daughter, ordered the children's meal of chicken fingers and french fries for $4.99 - service is horrible - finally get the bill and I am charged $6.99 - when I ask the owner why he didn't charge me for the kids meal he says "Well he brought you the large plate." I said "OK but that is not what I ordered..." he said again "but he brought you the large plate" as though I work there and should have known what the large plate was. And THEN he says "and you're taking some home right?" At which point I reply, "Do you want to keep it?" and he says "YES. I'll keep it and I will give you the $2 back" - is this guy kidding me? We won't be back. We were seated for dinner and ignored. I had to go up to the takeout counter after 15 minutes to politely request a waiter, with the owner insisting he himself had already come by our table -- true, when he first sat us and gave us menus! How easy would it have been for him to instead be gracious and apologize? (Poor management, and while I saw him greeting and chatting with regulars, I also saw him in plain view spending long stretches of time texting on his cell phone.) Our order was then taken by a waiter in a rushed, unapologetic and unwelcoming way and it took awhile for utensils, water, and bread to be brought over. Things we ordered came out sporadically, not together in any way resembling courses. In fact my husband's soup and pasta came out at the same time -- he sent the pasta back to the kitchen to be held until he was ready. The soups, salad and pasta we ordered were mediocre to poor. Chicken in the Cobb salad wasn't freshly made and both soups were bland. The kale in the kale and bean soup was very stemmy, making it hard to swallow. My daughter enjoyed her pizza. Will never return...have been here 5-6 times without incident nor complaint and decent pasta dishes and pizza...tonight, there was a party in the back and service was not only slow but erroneous - we were a party of 4, after 1/2 hour, one meal came out, then another which was was wrong; the other 2 meals still missing, I got up and found the manager/owner to politely complain...he was totally rude, abusive and basically spat at me; I have never been treated this way by any restaurant waiter, manager or owner...and I will never go back. We called our friends en route home and asked them to never dine here again based on the terrible way the owner treated us. When after an hour went by, we called the place asking how much longer and all they can tell us is "hes on the road, we dont have a way to contact the driver" and proceeded to just hangup on us.
