I had an unfortunate experience with an UberEats order from this restaurant. I ordered chicken parm, broccoli rabe and tiramisu. I made certain to specify that I needed utensils, as I was visiting the area and at a work site where I didn't have access to anything. When my food arrived, however, my requested utensils were nowhere to be found. (The UberEats driver also just left everything outside when I had specified that he call. I realize this part isn't the restaurant's fault, but the delivery app isn't doing them any favors. I did complain on UberEats, but they are useless.) So if we hadn't scrounged and found a spoon and knife--best we could do--I'd have had no way at all to eat my meal. The chicken parm itself was solid, as was the broccoli rabe. Sadly, the tiramisu was partly frozen. I'm assuming they'd taken it out earlier in the day and it hadn't entirely thawed. I had some of it, but once I clocked the freeze, I didn't want to waste my carbs. I'm sure this would have been a better experience if I'd eaten in, as at least I'd have been assured of utensils, and I could have sent back the dessert and perhaps gotten something else. The guy at the counter, with his name -- Danny -- written in a massive-font tattoo on his arm, was on a personal phone call and ignoring the line of people on a busy Friday night when he REACHED INTO HIS NOSTRIL AND DUG OUT A BOOGER right there, in front of everyone. Either he wasn't conscious of what he was doing or he just didn't care, but it was absolutely disgusting. After ignoring me for more than five minutes he asked me about my phone order, then chided me: "That pizza's been sitting there for ages, bro." That's strange, I told him, since the woman who took my order told me it'd be a half hour, and I walked into the pizza shop at a half hour on the dot. Then he realized he forgot the calzone I'd ordered and asked me to wait while he grabbed a cold calzone with his bare hands -- the same unwashed hands he'd used to dig out a snot just minutes ago, the same hands that were handling cash and change -- and tossed it into the oven. Including the time Danny ignored me and the time waiting for the forgotten calzone, I was standing in the pizzeria for about 10 minutes. When I got home, my pizza was cold and I had a calzone handled by a guy who was digging to China in his right nostril. Absolutely disgusting. This is surprising to me because Harrison Pizza was one of the better pizzerias in a town where competition is steep. (There are five other pizzerias within two square miles.) I've been ordering pies from Harrison Pizza for some 15 years at least, and have always enjoyed their specialty slices. But this was just chaos, not a well-run or sanitary pizzeria. It makes me wonder if the place is under new management, or if the owners are aware of the way their place is run by people who don't care. Either way, I'm done. Disappointed. We ordered through Grubhub on a Friday night. The estimate was between 6:30-6:40, which was around 40 mins from the order time. Around 7:15 with no pizza in sight we call the restaurant and are told it will be another 20 minutes! They couldn't have even started making it at that point. We requested they cancel the order at this point because we were tired of waiting, but they said they couldn't do anything, so longer we wait. The pizza finally arrived around 20 minutes later, with a free liter of Pepsi as a consolation. Impatient and starving we go to eat the pizza and it's not even cut!!! Nearly two hours for two pizzas and they didn't even cut one of them! The only redeeming thing was that the pizza was actually decent. We "used to" order from them all the time. We have a little family member that has Celiac Disease (cannot eat gluten). There was a pizza party at the school today and we want to make sure our child isn't excluded from the rest of the children. Harrison Pizza and Pasta's minimum order for delivery is $13. A gluten free pie is $12.99. They refused to deliver to a single Gluten Free Pizza (to a Harrison address, even with a $1.50 delivery charge). We explained that we're (now former) repeat customers, living in Harrison and this is for a little child. The answer was no from Harrison Pizza and Pasta, over a penny... for a kid :( We called Pizza 2000, explained the situation and they were happy to do this, especially for a child with a disease. We make a habit of "shopping small" for local businesses to support our town/community. Harrison Pizza and Pasta is not about the community, they could care less, its just about the money, in this case... a penny. We'll be getting our pizza from Pizza 2000 from now on. What can I say Tony is quite the character. Very nice staff although Freddy could lighten up a little. Everybody knows this spot and It's really good specials such as the Family Feast 2 xl pies, salad and a soda(which they will forget 50% of the time) plus the Family Dinner Chicken Parm for 4 Penne and Bread. Positive experiences most of the time rarely negative except when they mess up topping requested , forget an item or when they gave me one weak chicken parm wedge. One last sidenote, when you get a pie with toppings its completely different from the regular plain crust, I think they use par baked crusts for multiple toppings to support the weight as the regular is too floppy. read more

So last night we ordered to pick up. I got a chicken parm hero. Inedible. Rubber chicken. So I had bread parm. The clam sauce was pretty good. The panini was barely passable. But even though I am burying the lead, whoever packed up the order, put my wife's salad in the pizza box along with the other hot food. I don't know many people who like warm salad (we live 3 minutes away) and the salad dressing plastic cup in the pizza box upside down and it leaked through the box onto my wife's pants, her pretty pricey purse (how was that for alliteration?) as well as the car seat. And my rubber chicken hero was packed separately which should've been the salad packed separately so it would stay cold. One order came with "well done" fries . And we got 2 orders of fries. Sounds good but have you ever had really limp fries? Wet, greasy, and limp. Pretty bad. Why does an Italian restaurant even offer fries as a side dish? Just offer a small variety of pasta like a real Italian place does. You should definitely NOT be making fried potatoes. Perhaps if you eat there and order the "right" thing, it might be OK. But if there are any other pizza and pasta joints within 5-10 miles of you, order from there. I can't imagine what the food would've been like if we asked for delivery and it sat, packed as it was, for a longer period of time. Maybe Hot salad? I wanted to do a good deed for my coworkers so I purchased a voucher for some catered food from Harrison Pizza. Included, were two half trays of Chicken Parm and Salad. I called earlier in the week and made the appointment to pick up the food before I headed out to work. They were still setting up when I arrived and it took about 10 minutes to get the food which wasn't too bad. I allotted extra time anyways. They were setting out some pies that they would be selling throughout the day and they all looked so good. I love that they have so many different flat bread pies. I am not a fan of thick crust and most neighborhood pizza spots only have the New York style pizza. When my food was ready, the owner, whose name escapes me, was so nice. He threw in a whole bag of sliced bread and even gave me the coupon mailer so that I could get some discounts when I come back. The pizzas they had sitting on display looked so good, I bought two large slices of the un-toasted Mozz & Roasted Red Peppers to take home at the end of the day. Very disappointing service. Have ordered from them several times and love their personal pizzas. Tonight I ordered at 5:15pm and was told the food would be delivered "within the hour." I called back 1hr and 20 mins later and was told my food was out for delivery. THEN when I called back at the 2 hour mark, it turns out they never even made the pizzas. Horrible service, unreliable - this is the 3rd time it's taken more than 90 minutes to get our food on a Friday night ... and then they're not transparent on expected delivery times and the actual status of your food. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan & Ziti lunch special. It was delivered within 20 minutes. The portions are huge, came with a fresh salad, bread and free garlic knots. We bought a Groupon and we were surprise we were able to use it on Father's Day. Most restaurants would not let you use a Groupon on the holidays. But we had no problem. We had the chicken Parmesan with a salad. Best deal you can get in Harrison. Plenty of cheese and sauce, We place an order for 1130 chicken Parmesan came out of the oven 1129 when we arrived home it was ready to serve nice and hot. Very good, we had 6 people and it was enough (even had enough to make a sandwich the next day) . We've been going here for a few years. Tonight I caught the owner intentionally overcharging me. I saw the ticket for our order attached to our pizza box. He removed the ticket, looked at it and then proceeded to overcharge my card by a few extra dollars. I was in shock and honestly thought that I misread the ticket. However, when I got home I checked their menu and I was right. He overcharged me. I know that times are tough for smalI businesses but you don't handle it by ripping off your customers.
