Michael's is our go-to for pizza in White Plains. They have convenient online ordering or, if you prefer to call, very friendly employees who will assist you on the phone. We've only tried the New York style pizzas here, but they are always a slam dunk. The crust is the appropriate thickness (or thin-ness!) and the toppings are generous and well-placed. They have several specialty pizzas on their menu or you can build-your-own. We almost always get the margherita pizza and some garlic knots, both of which are delicious. They also have a good selection of desserts and sodas if you're craving something sweet. Although we almost always do pick-up, they also offer delivery. read more

I decided to treat my staff to pizza since we were all working late finishing up a special project. I never had pizza in White Plains before tonight so I really didn't know where to order. I remember seeing a menu for Michael's floating around work, plus one of my colleagues ordered from them once and had good things to say. That was enough for me to check them out. The man on the phone was very nice, and was totally cool with my soda requests and extra plates and utensils. We decided to get two large pies - one cheese and one veggie. The pizzas were pretty good, the vegetable especially. It was chock full of veggies and had a great balance of cheese, sauce, and toppings. I'll agree with other reviews saying the pies were lacking a little on flavor, but I give them credit for a crispy crust and generous veggies. Overall, not the best pizza I've had but not the worst. While I'm not ready to make Michael's my go-to pizzeria in White Plains, I wouldn't be against coming back - especially to try their non-pizza options. read more

OK no disrespect, but some of these reviews are bogus. Granted, I've only been here once, but if a slice of pizza accidentally comes out lukewarm ANYWHERE, I'd probably have spent 45 seconds asking them to put it back in the oven, rather than spending 10 minutes to create a Yelp account to vent about it online. I guess their delivery is sub-par, but fortunately for me, I ate my two slices there. That being said, on to my experience... In my opinion, the pizza here is exactly what constitutes a three-star review on Yelp. A-OK. Nothing phenomenal, but definitely good for the price. I had a classic cheese and a pepperoni slice. For the latter, the pepperonis were evenly spread, although they probably could have been a bit more generous. There was plenty of sauce beneath a generous layer of cheese, but sauce was lacking a bit in flavoring (more oregano/basil perhaps?) The guys behind the counter were cool, although I didn't grill them with a whole lot of questions or unusual requests either. Looking for a pizza to be delivered at about 11pm I stared looking on grubhub and this was a popular delivery service in the area. I found myself comparing that with the yelp reviews a saw that most "not so positive" reviews were about the other dishes or the delivery time. My delivery time was on point, about 25 minutes from the time I clicked order on grubhub. The delivery guy was professional and courteous and the pizza was good. Now this isn't my normal pizza place who I would've went with but they don't deliver but nevertheless this was a solid pie. This is probably one of the worst pizza places in White Plains followed by even worse customer service. Recently ordered the Michael's special which I thought would have been something amazing since you put your name to represent it but no. They just piled up toppings of meat , barely any cheese, some of the meat was not cooked well, barely any breading to support the pizza, everything was oily and just fell off as you picked it up. Well, where to start? This place is literally right across the street. Perhaps 100 yards away. Yet, it took nearly an hour to get our food that somehow managed to make the hot food cold in such a short distance. The burger, looks like a TVP (textured vegetable protein) pre marked beef patty that was heated in an oven. Dry, flavorless and unappealing would be a kind review. The bun was nearly twice the size of the burger. The fries were nothing more than the Ore Ida oven baked crap that Mom used serve at lunch when there was little time and fish sticks were the entree. Also cold. The potato skins were so visually unappealing and oily that the garbage disposal is the only thing brave enough to try them. I believe it may have vomited were such a thing possible. I personally made the mistake of ordering the cold Italian Hero. The only thing heroic was my effort to choke this dry bland and boring combination of second rate cold cuts down my gullet. Yes, I actually had to pay extra for the lettuce, tomato and onion which were the best part. I should have just discarded the food upon delivery when after being paid the deliveryman rang our bell again and tried to sell us on his friends dog obedience training as he saw our puppy. Perhaps Michael's should go into the Canine Obedience field as they cannot manage to meet the standards of dog food. read more

The other day my boyfriend and I ordered from here and specifically asked for sausage on HALF of the pizza and they put it on the entire pizza. Them we waited two hours for the food. I've never had their pizza but from the pastas I've ordered here, I can say that I will never again order a pasta from Michael's. I got the Clam Linguine. It was dry and tasted really strange. It was as if I were eating wine...in the form of pasta and clams. It was so disappointing. And then I had the spaghetti and meatballs (which I thought was impossible to mess up), and it was terrible. This is the second time we've ordered from Michaels. Both times we have ordered pizza - it is mediocre sauce, and the crust has been tough both times. The size is good for the price, if you are looking for quantity over quality. We have also ordered the wings both times. The first time they were a good balance of hot sauce and butter. Not quite buffalo wings, being from upstate, we know what those taste like. But, this time... didn't even finish the order. The wings were not tossed in sauce, they were bathed in them. It appeared that after they tossed the wings, they poured a ladle's worth of sauce over the container. It was weirdly vinegary, and almost tasted like they thinned a ketchup/hot sauce combo with vinegar. One thing not in there? Butter. I would have been more annoyed if I had spent cash rather than More Dollars. For a dinner that didn't really come out of my pocket, it's okay. We'll avoid the pizza next time, might give them one more try for a tie-breaker on the wings, and perhaps try a pasta dish, since that is what folks seem to say is decent. read more

Ordered delivery again via Seamless.com. This time, we ordered a white pizza with broccoli, calamari, toasted ravioli and mozzarella sticks. Unfortunately, our pizza came without the broccoli. It was still delicious, and when I called to mention their mistake they apologized and were happy to correct their problem. Calamari was a bit more cooked than last time and was a bit crunchy, but everything was delicious. Delivery was estimated at 35 minutes and it was right on time.
