I came here with friends for their anniversary....and I am not a fan of Greek or Mediterranean food...however I never said a word about it. I just wanted to be open to the experience...and it wasn't my anniversary...it was their choice. So happy I kept my mouth shut, it was one of the best experiences ever...it was so not what I expected. The food was perfection....I had the salmon, my friend had the swordfish and her husband had the lamb. I am grateful for everything we had....and I hope I have the opportunity to come back one day!

First time here. The food was amazing. The service was great. I had the Mediterranean salmon, it was good. My wife had the burgundy beef, it was very tender and succulent. The drinks were good. The location is very nice. They do ask for a credit card to book a reservation, they don't charge you. If u cancel within 24 hours they will charge you $25 per person in your party.

GO GO GO! Middletown is on the rise and I feel this place is definately playing a part in it. I've driven past this place quite a few times on my way to my sisters and vowed to one day try it. Decided to take my bestie for her birthday on Thursday and we literally didnt leave until they closed. There is a parking lot out back, which is a plus because theres barely ever any street parking on Main st. The restaurant is BREATHTAKING. It has this grand staircase the moment you walk in with a beautiful bar to the right. Seating is available on both the first & second floor but we were seated on the second floor. Our waiter Pedro was a gem! He was kind, attentive, funny, personable, and pretty much picked our entire meal for us lol. We started with the red sea cosmo drink. It was sooooo yummy. Most cosmo's ive had were strong and didnt taste good at all but not this one. The put a cute little smoke bubble on top too. They start you off with a palete cleanser. I didnt think I would enjoy it as much as I did. For starters we shared the shrimp & the meatball. The shrimp were good and from what I hear is a fan favorite....but that meatball BABYYYY was everything! I'd go back just to sit at the bar and eat that on a random day lol for our main course I had the chicken kabob and my bestie had the salmon. I tried her salmon and it was good but could have used a little more seasoning. However, my kabob was perfect. It was one big kabob layed on a bed of hummus, pita bread, and potatoes. I am NOT a hummus girlie but Pedro said its different from any other hummus and boy oh boy was he right! We also ordered a wildberrt mojito and it was perfect. After dinner we took a few photos on the grand stair case and decided we werent really ready to leave because the staff was so friendly and the vibe was just right so we headed to the bar and ordered some lemon drops. The bartender was a sweetheart and made the drink perfectly. We sat and chatted with her until we realized they were closing. I went home and bragged to my husband and im already planning to take him back. Pithari has become one of my new fave restaurants and I cannot wait to go back!

In a community full of retail and restaurant chains, this is exactly what Middletown needed. What a welcoming place. Our dinner was delicious! Prices were what you would expect for fresh ingredients. Service was very attentive and didn't miss a beat on a busy Saturday night. It's also nice that the old bank was restored to a restaurant. The staircase is impressive. We will be back.

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. I couldn't even leave the table without writing this review. From the ambience to the food to the exceptional table side service to the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the temperature of the food. This place deserves every single dollar it makes. I am truly impressed and will definitely be back here again, and I'm bringing friends!

Me and the wife decided to try this place, because we heard such good things. We went on a sunday for happy hour and let me tell you the food and drinks were outstanding. our Bartender Arielle was so great. This place looks amazing on the inside.

Great place to have a birthday dinner or brunch. Loved the atmosphere however, we did have an emergency situation where a family member choked on her chicken and waffles. I would recommend more tender chicken to serve. On the upside the staff reacted quickly and we still somehow managed to make the best of the time.

A bit of Middletown historical tidbit, the building in which this restaurant resides in used to be the Wachovia Bank. During the Great Financial Crisis ( 2008 ), Wells Fargo took over Wachovia, and relocated its branch to Dove Run Plaza instead. Pithari is the second rendition of revitalizing this building into a high end dining venue. The interior is well decorated, with no signs of previous function. The menu is limited, with the selections of appetizers outnumbered the main entrees options. However, all entrees ordered were well prepared and presented. Pricing reflects that of high end dining, but reasonable when compared with others in the area. Staff was friendly, and attentive to our needs. So if you have a special occasion, this would be a good place to celebrate in.

All was excellent. Great environment and amazing, tasty food We had a fantastic experience! As soon as we arrived we were greeted and seated. Received immediate attention and quick got our drinks. Appetizers were promptly served to perfection. Meals were also very tasty and met our expectations. Would certainly return to share this place with others.

We had the best experience here celebrating our anniversary. Our server, Lauren was incredibly helpful and attentive the entire time and the ambience of the restaurant was stunning. We ordered the Brussel sprouts, the burrata, and the shrimp to start and each were incredible! The Brussel sprouts were really outstanding! For our mains, we got the chicken skewer and the tagliatelle. Both were phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned and incredibly satiating. We ended our meal with the crème brûlée cheesecake and it was perfectly decadent. All of the food was perfect! The drinks maintained that level of perfection and each one that we had was refreshing and delicious! The cosmopolitan was quite the experience with the smoke bubble presentation! We literally can't wait to go back to the gem of a restaurant!

Entrance to the restaurant. There's an upper and lower level.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much; in fact, it looks like a bit of a dive from outside. But when you walk in, you are transported. The design of the restaurant is so special - community tables, pillows, tapestries, waterfall features, tiles, and belly dancing. The food was a little inconsistent. We shared many dishes: Bastilla (baked layers of filo dough, eggs, chicken, almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar); hummus (chickpeas, tahini, crushed garlic, lemon juice, sprinkled with paprika and olive oil, served with pita bread); Spanakopita; salad trio (eggplant salad, cucumber and tomato salad, and carrot salad); lamb tagine (stew of lamb, onions, and roasted peppers topped with honey and served with rice); Moroccan chicken with harissa cumin sauce; mujaddara (cracked bulgur wheat cooked with lentils and caramelized onions); and mint tea. I wish they didn't serve bottled waters, and the food was mostly good but not the most consistent. Our mujaddara wasn't served with the yogurt sauce listed on the menu, and the lamb with the tagine was incredibly fatty, making some of it inedible. The mint tea was really really really sweet - like syrup! I also wish the bastilla had a little less powdered sugar (I like on the dish, but it was A LOT of powdered sugar), and it was quite dry. But the eggplant salad, carrot salad, hummus, and mujaddara (even without the yogurt sauce) were great. I would happily have eaten just those dishes. They were busy - it's a popular place - but service was also a challenge. It took us almost a half hour to get the check and pay. I had to ask for the bill twice and then it still took a while to get it, for it to get picked up, and for it to come back to us. It's pretty bad if I'm considering walking up to the bar to get the check and pay. I loved the ambiance and the character. I loved that you can't tell how amazing it's going to be inside when you see the outside of the building - it's a surprise for sure. Our experience was that the food was a bit inconsistent, but it certainly was a fun meal.

Dinner and a show, I'm down! The show was good, but the food was just fine. Everything leaned too sweet for my liking. Our group of 4 got the $30 each 7 course family style meal. Spicy (not even that spicy!! (2/5 spice level IMO)) chicken and the eggplant dish at the beginning were my favorite dishes.

This takes me to Wilmington, the largest city in Delaware where I had the opportunity to try out "Opa Opa". Located at the Village of Trolley Square strip mall and adjacent to Delaware Ave & N. Clayton St., this place has been serving up delicious Greek food dating back to 2015. I came here with my lady during the afternoon of Friday 10/10/2025 at around 2:45pm. The interior is bright, spacious, ample room for dining in, and pays homage to the blue and white Greek colors. Additionally, there are several art pieces that represent some of the more popular Greek destinations. Sodas, water, and other various beverages are available in a refrigerator across from the register/counter area. Since I was very hungry (and on my way north to Philadelphia), I decided to go with something that will carry me through the rest of the afternoon. I finally decided on their "Chicken Gyro Platter" w/fries. My lady went with their "Grilled Chicken Greek Salad". We didn't get any drinks as our waters is all we needed to enjoy our lunch. Both of our meals are ready in just under 7 minutes while everything is presented to us in a quick and timely manner. I do have to say that if you're starving, this is the place to come! My gyro was a very generous portion that offered huge chucks of seasoned chicken. In fact, the chicken to veggie ratio was 2:1 as they did not skimp on the protein. My pita bread that encased this was warm and made each bite very savory. The fries were also made well; crispy yet soft on the inside. And as you can see from the photo, the salad that my lady got was also huge. As I mentioned, come hungry and you will leave very full. All in all, "Opa Opa" was a very pleasant surprise as Wilmington offers a lot of ethnic food in all directions. This place also offers very generous hours as they are opened for business Monday through Saturday from 10:30am-10:00pm and Sunday from 11:00am-9:00pm. With above average customer service, a spacious inside dining area, reasonable prices, and generous food portions, this place earns a perfect five-star rating from me.

I came for their "Super Tuesday" deal, which included the Gyro Platter with fries for just $9.95.
