For the second painting of the Holy Face of Jesus, he was able to use an antique frame I had with a different painting. The framing was ready to pick up the following week. I wanted to…read moresupport a local business, since I usually get my prints serviced elsewhere, and then I saw an artist have a good experience with Lumaprints and wanted to give them a try. Their quality didn't meet my expectations with prints that had creases running across the pieces, and while it may sound quite unforgiving, it was because I needed the prints as a gift for a friend who had gone through a loss. I put an order in on May 6th for an 8x8 and 5x5 print and was told they were available to be picked up on the 11th. I let them company know I'd pick it up on the 15th and took time off work to do so. But upon inspecting the prints later, the creases across the prints ruined this gift idea. I've attached a picture since I was surprised there wasn't a quality check on these. It happened to be that I got 2 prints ordered through their site and did a will-call to pick up the prints. Their turn around time is quite decent, but the hours of operation does make it challenging to pick up, since they open M-F from 9am-3pm, which makes it hard if someone is working those hours and doesn't have a long break I emailed Lumaprints about my disappointment in the quality of the prints I received, and an associate, Jessy, was quite responsive. I give credit for the fast customer service response. But since it was on Friday that I picked up the initial prints, that would mean having to wait until the following week, and it was too late by then for me to give the gift that weekend. Jessy did let me know that they would reprint my order and expedite my prints so I could pick it up. That was definitely the standard thing to do what is right. However, I was going to be unable to take time off work to go pick up the prints again, so I asked Jessy to bill me an invoice for USPS ground shipping to have the prints shipped to me. Once I completed the shipping charge invoice, they sent out the prints to me. I received the prints on May 21st since I was somewhat local. In addition, it's strange that Lumaprints seem to be off on their measurements. I ordered a print in 8x8 and had to trim the print to fit this into an 8x8 frame I purchased from Michael's Arts and Crafts. This too added to my frustration. The overall experience I had with Lumaprints definitely left me disappointed.

I mentioned the oil spill multiple times. They said they would be able to help me out and put extra attention in that area. I also mentioned that the back upholstery might need to come off to clean the part where the seats fold and that there are wires. I asked to confirm if they are comfortable with that. Replied to me with "I'm sure we can take care of it even with wires". The owner told me in person they tried to get between the seats as much as possible (didn't bother with the back upholstery of the seat). After the seat dried, my sister went on a drive with me. Her jeans had some of the oil stain transferred. I checked with a tissue paper and none of it came off. It's still greasy and smelly. Left him a message and asked if he can take a look at it again with his team, but left me on read. Edit: Of course, owner provided a reason for leaving me on read and declines second inspection. Misunderstanding could have been remediated with a quick follow up letting me know he is discussing logistics with his team and needs some time to respond. Edit: For anyone considering this business, please be aware that their Terms and Conditions include a clause requiring you to agree not to leave negative reviews if unsatisfied. This type of clause is illegal under the Consumer Review Fairness Act (15 U.S.C. § 45b) and is void and unenforceable. Additionally, during our dispute, a refund was explicitly conditioned on removal of this review - also a violation of the same federal law. Document everything in writing if you use this service.

I was told my backdrop couldn't be done in two days, I was told that my image's resolution was too small, and other printing shops never responded. Z from RedDot Printing responds within minutes. He told me the same thing about my backdrop's resolution being to low for a huge printout, but what set him apart was that he took the time send me an email on how fix it so that he can print it. Once I fixed the image with his advice he said, "I can get that done in two days." and he delivered! I placed the order midday on a Wednesday and it was ready for pickup by 2:00PM on Friday. Pick up was seamless. He knew exactly who I was without introducing myself, he was friendly, full of personality, and so sweet. He unrolled the backdrop to show me his work and it was PERFECT! His price was cheaper than I imagined especially since this was a last minute request. I knew that I placed this order last minute and I knew I was an amateur with the design, but Z made my vision into reality. Z, thank you so much for everything. Your work is impeccable! I was able to make an appointment for the following day on monday and Jason was super cool about showing me all my options and letting me lead with what I had in mind. My stole was done THE NEXT DAY which is crazy because a lot of places said it would take several days or even weeks to complete and I needed it fast because I was taking my grad photos that following saturday. This next part is kind of embarrassing but it must be mentioned...I mixed up their hours and went to pick it up on friday at 5:03pm but they had just closed at 5pm. I panicked because I was literally having people come down to help me with my photoshoot the next day and the shop is closed on the weekends. I called and messaged them on yelp explaining the mistake I made. Karen found my phone number and called me asking if I would be able to come back to their shop later that evening because they would be out all morning the next day. Jason drove back and opened the doors just so that I could get my stole before my pictures.
