He walked me through all of the damage and gave me so many amazing/expert options. There are so many amazing options available and that was exciting:) I have a background in archival work and he has so much knowledge and is very trustworthy with anything brought into the shop. The framing studio is onsite which is also awesome because your work does not need to be sent out for any work, they take care of everything, super professionally, right there. When we arrived for our second trip to drop off all of the art, he was working with an older customer and watching the interaction was so special. He was so kind, even helping her to her car. Come to find out, they have been working together for 20 years(heart)! As we were getting the pieces ready, we had a really meaningful conversation and it was just all around more than what I could have hoped for. Everyone at the shop is great and I will 100% be returning to Min for future framing and will be referring everyone to this shop for all their framing needs.

She even gave me tips on how to save time and how to make my quilt. She turned my sour sitation into something sweet. I was able to get a 2025 Happy planner at 50% off. By the way my blanket took about 2-3 hours. It was more work than expected. But I did it.

Tami, the owner/framer has an incredible eye. I trust no one else with my collection. I've got an eclectic batch, but she can handle anything I throw at her. She's framed leafs from medieval manuscripts which require archival handling, to odd ads or posters I found charming. She's great with shadow boxes and other three dimensional pieces. Again, running the gamut, she's framed Roman antiquities, like a bronze buckler shaped as medusa to "Lunchbots" (mint condition, still in package) which were a transformer spoof, robots that turn into a bowl of ramen or sushi. She's great at eliciting helpful information from me, so that even if I can't articulate quite what I want, she's able to ask the right questions to get the just the effects that customers want. She also always asks me about where I'll be hanging a given piece, what the lighting is like, the dominant colors of the room, etc., in order to ensure maximum compatibility with the rest of my collection. read more

She worked with me to bring the most out of the Japanese prints and to make the other 3 look good with less expensive options. As her website will tell you, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, to make an appointment. As a one-woman show, it takes a while to select frame type, frame color, borders, etc. So plan accordingly and make an an appointment. It took about 6 weeks for me to get everything back but that's fairly reasonable. Plan accordingly. Street parking is the only parking available. I had no problem finding parking but it is metered and can get tight as there's some cute restaurants nearby as well as the arts theater. Only glitch I had was calling Kris. She mentioned when I first met her that her phone was acting up. I left a message and didn't get a call back albeit she said she returned it and left a message. The second time around, she did call me back but left no message albeit again she said she left one. So don't take it personally in this day of technology mishaps!

Per our discussions and our contract, we agreed that we would have our names and date on the back of the illustrations. This was really important to us so our guests could proudly display their photos without having our names on display as but they would have it for reference on the back. On the day of the wedding, after the ceremony, we noticed that our names and dates were on the front of the pictures. We spoke to them and they said there wasn't much they could do except they had blank ones they could use for the rest and could redo some of them. We were running around and couldn't spend much time trying to figure out a solution. Due to this, they couldn't complete photos for all of the guests. We ordered a contract to cover 200 guests even though we only had 160 guests to ensure full coverage and both of our parents and grandparents didn't even get a photo. Overall it was a disappointing day of service and coordination on our special day. We go to our friends' and family's places and are still sad that they either didn't have this experience and didn't get a photo, or have the ones with our names on the front and so they aren't displayed. Others have cut off the bottom portion with our names for display.

Melody, the office manager was super nice and helpful, answered all my questions and was great about follow up. Knowing I had a 2yr old, they demonstrated their knowledge and experience with this age group because they were able to provide the pros/cons of each setting and the best time to get the most cooperation. On the day, we got a call that morning from Melody to remind us and let us know where to meet exactly. Thank god...cuz my phone crashed, with all my notes! Although the promo was for 1-hour photog session, we were done before then but still got a ton of pictures to choose from. Kristi was sweet and professional. I liked her instantly. We went and saw our proofs just the other day. The studio was small but yet the way they had it set up, it was roomy and comfy. We went through each of our pics on a huge screen and gave them thumbs up or down on them. I felt like i was sitting at home going through our own albums. It was that comfy! From the proofs, some the images were pretty pose-y, while others were so natural that Kristi was able to catch. I just wish my little guy was smiling in more of the pictures. Too bad with the retouching they'll be doing, they couldn't retouch them to add smiles to my little grouch! I've never done professional photos before, so I can't give you a good comparison to cost. But it seemed pricey, based on my limited knowledge of what Asian shops do for much less cost. But KSE has beautiful photo boxes that you can load with 23 or so photos, and the photos will then go into a book. But to get the book, you have to buy the photo boxes. Since we already had thousands of photos, we just chose a few family shots and pair shots. I wanted more but aside from our own database, our wallets just didn't permit me spending needlessly! =( But I think I'll be happy with what we chose. Can't wait to pick them up! Note to anyone going to the studio with child in stroller....the studio is on the 2nd floor , so you have to go up 2 flights of stairs. There's no elevator. Thank god my stroller was light and didn't add to the weight of a sleeping 2yr. old. Bring quarters for street parking or go down towards the residential area and try your luck parking there.
