I brought my broken frame in for a repair, which had museum glass and a valuable piece of Japanese wood art. I called ahead of time and got a quote for $50, which was reasonable. He said he would finish it by August 26, but I got it back on the 21st. Very great job on the repair! read more

I had these 50+ year old butterfly pictures that were in bad shape prior to receiving them from my grandparents ( they're originally from Brazil, my dad got them when he was TDY there in the Air Force). Because of their condition I couldn't ask them to be placed back in original shape. He cleaned the frames, back glass, put new glass on, and cleaned and repaired the frames. I can't express the joy I had when I saw them when picking them up. I highly recommend this shop. They were returned in really good time, good pricing, and the owner has a great attitude! This place doesn't even deserve one star! I came here with the possibility of letting this guy frame a Mother's day present. So what happen? I asked the guy for a quote. He gave me a quote for around $40 to just frame the picture and it would take a week. So after I decided that was too much and I kindly thanked him for his time. THEN, that is when things went bad. He told me, "Here let me write this quote down, so when you go to the other places you will know the price is better here...the prices are only going to up from here." This is the local shop to go to if you have a need for a frame. Chuck is an easy going guy with a very keen eye for presentation. I took some recognition certificates recently awarded to my wife to this shop. She would have relegated the awards to a file cabinet and this did not sit well with me. I came in here last week to get some mat boards cut for my interior design project. Since i was in school, i already knew the ballpark of what my mat boards should cost because our teacher told us the pricing and also upon talking to my classmates. This guy quoted me $200 when its only supposed to be between $70-$120!! I immediately got out of there and then went to Aaron Brothers to get a quote. They ended up doing the same exact cutting for me for $80. This guy really needs to get a reality check on his pricing, especially in today's economy, i def suggest shopping around for a price quote if your actually considering getting work done at this store. read more

Needed an estimate for a damage claim on an already framed painting that had come apart during shipping. Wonderful owner offered to put everything back together for free. He masterfully reassembled the mats, picture, etc. and threw in a new backing board too while I watched. I ordered a poster online and wanted to get it framed. I didn't really know where to go, so I yelped on my phone and saw some places which were a couple miles away. But when I was driving home, I saw this place out of the corner of my eye so I pulled in to the parking lot and brought the poster inside. The owner greeted me, he was friendly and professional. After taking some measurements and deciding on a metal frame with glass, he recommended that I take advantage of the special they were having, which is normally 59.99 for aluminum with glass. Since my poster measured 22x28, he gave me a ten dollar discount, so the final price was 49.99. He gave me a lead time of around one week, and said I could pay when I come to pick up the product. Exactly one week later, he called me and let me know the poster was ready. It came out perfect, and he wrapped it for protection (that's what she..), received payment, and sent me on my way. A special hanger was included as well to mount the poster, which was a thoughtful touch. I was very pleased with the service and product, and supporting small business is always a plus. read more

All of my framing has been done at The Frame Maker at 5014 Ball Road in Cypress perfectly, reasonably priced, as requested, professionally, and on schedule as repeat business. My 5-Star experience may be different because I only want the best products and services and I lack the time to find the place/person willing to accept the lowest price. I bought a suit for $200 that required too many free alterations where stitching kept coming apart. I went to Neiman-Marcus and bought an expensive suit that has lasted 20 years with no alterations, embarrassing moments, and time-consuming trips. That experience changed my thinking. read more
