My favorite- Beef kabob- yumm!!
Iseo Y.

I was here today for lunch, it's been a while since the last time I dined here. My favorite is the beef kabob, I love this dish, the beef is so tender, the savory flavors are still the same, it's so good and the serving is huge, I enjoyed the pita bread and humus dip, it excellent! The service is fast and so with my server who is very attentive. The ambience is great. Will be back for more

I'm on a quest to try every Mediterranean restaurant in the city and order the same dish. Today's visit was to The Pita Stop on Southside. Upon arrival, the worker showed me to my table. I had the place to my self on this day. My order was taken promptly after arriving. I ordered the Chicken Kebob plate. For $18.95, I was pleasantly shocked at the amount of food that the order came with. It came with a well seasoned chicken Kebob (an actual Kebob on a skewer with veggies), Greek salad (house salad on the menu), wild rice, pita bread, hummus and fresh fruit. Everything was delicious and I had enough to take home for another meal.. A couple of things to note: The worker mopped the floor as I ate my food. I'm sensitive to certain smells so this was kinda a no-no for me. Also expect to wait for your food as they cook it fresh and made to order. If you're in a hurry, call your order in. Neither of these things are deal breakers and I will definitely return.

Yelp led me here and I was not disappointed. I went with the Lamb burger and it was absolutely as delicious as everyone says it is. The portions are generous, and the price is right! I was greeted with the best customer service and seated right away on this relaxing Sunday afternoon. I don't believe I waited more than 10 minutes for my food to come out and it was worth the wait. The fries were crispy and seasoned to perfection. The burger patty was seasoned well also. It was perfectly paired with the feta cheese. There were even a few slices of fruit on my plate if I wanted a healthy dessert. All in all I would definitely recommend and definitely be returning again when in the Birmingham area.

I stopped here to get some dinner, after visiting a patient at UAB Highlands. It has been a while since I have visited, but I can always depend on this place to have great service. I placed a to go order and there were a few people waiting and also a few dining in. However, the line moved pretty quick and I waited no longer than 15 minutes for my order. I went with the beef kabob entree as I was hungry and I knew that it came with a good amount of food. The beef kabob entree is one of my favorites. It came with fruit, a house salad, wild rice, pita bread and hummus dip. The beef on the kabobs was tender and the kabobs were seasoned really well. The rice was also very good and they gave you a generous amount. You do not have to worry about getting full, because they make sure to give you enough food. I lucked up and got a parking space out front. However, their parking is limited out front. good,I enjoyed this place and will be sure to visit again.

I had an amazing lunch at a place called Pita stop I'll give it a five star head beef kebabs with a cheesecake

We came in for dinner Tuesday night before an event and thought we could get a good meal and good service. I understand it was Valentine's Day but this place wasn't even packed. We walked in at 6:05pm and ordered right then because we knew what we wanted. We received water and tea and didn't see anyone else until we asked about our food at 6:35pm. I was told it would be coming right up and we still didn't get it until 10 minutes later. We had to rush and eat but we saw people that ordered the same thing seated after us eat before us! The food was good but the service brought experience way down.

Located across from UAB Highland's campus. The Pita Stop was recommended to me by a work friend. Men's restroom was clean. My order was taken promptly by my waiter. The Seafood Platter was fresh and delicious. A unique restaurant worth trying!

The Pita Stop has been one of our favorites for over 20 years. Matt, Mo and the staff always serve delicious, high quality food. Service is personal and efficient. Our "go to" meals are the Seafood Kabob and the Seafood Omelette.

We had the chicken and beef kabobs. My dad ordered the grouper meal. The service was awesome. They helped us select our menu items. The ambiance was calming and relaxing. Thank you so much for the awesome food.

We were thrilled to stumble upon this place. The atmosphere is nice. Everyone is friendly, and the food is delicious. The servings are huge. I got the beef kebab which comes with a salad, rice, pitas hummus and fruit. My husband got the Meatball kebab. Both were delicious. I highly recommend this place.

I heard about Pita Stop on Yelp and really was excited to check it out. We went for lunch and was immediately seated, so there was zero wait time! Always a PLUS when dining out for lunch during the work week. Prior to going to Pita Stop, I probably read most of the reviews just to get a pulse of what people were ordering . I found that people really loved the daily lunch specials . Specifically , the chicken meal and the grouper meal were the top choices amongst fellow yelpers! Ok, great. I knew what I was ordering. Before ordering I asked about what the fish special was just to make sure the menu hadn't changed or anything like that. Our server rattled off some fish options and when I heard "grouper", I told her that's what I wanted. Well., guess what? She later came back and said, they didn't have the grouper. So in lieu of , I ordered mahi mahi. Salmon , tilapia or tuna were some other options as well. It didn't take long for us to get our meals shortly after. The serving size for the lunch specials were really generous; I really loved the wild rice, hummus and pita bread! What a treat to my tastebuds! The fish was seasoned nicely but slightly "fishy." Overall this was a really filling meal and I plan to revisit but next time I will be ordering the Chicken Kabobs......I was told those were delish! I'll update my review once I go back.

It gives a great vibe for either a work dinner, a date night, owl or dinner with friends! It's fun and swanky but not over the top. I try to handful of appetizers and I've got to recommend both the jerk cauliflower as well as the brussels sprouts and the Caesar salad was delicious as well. Also, the blistered Hungarian peppers are a must order if you'd like sausage! The meal that I had both times because it was that good was the spicy lamb rigatoni. I might just go back next week and get it again. I like that they have a wide variety of options whether you're looking for a gluten-free meal or something carb heavy like pizza or pasta, but they also have options to fit a variety of budgets from a casual dinner and a burger to more expensive entrées. The servers are very kind and are definitely educated in their wine and food offerings and very hospitable. Since this is located on Morris, a lot of people think parking is difficult down there, but apparently there is a parking lot in the back where you're able to get your ticket validated. I know some of my friends wish they would have known this before. I'll definitely be back and recommend this spot to others wanting a good meal!

They have tried everything on the menu themselves. They can describe any one of the imported liquors up on the wall. These are real deal professionals who illustrate just how important the people in a restaurant's front truly are. The food? Delicious. It's a wild grab bag of East Asian fare - Chinese, Japanese, Thai - and it's all done extremely well. The portions are small, which is good, since you'll want to try half a dozen things on Current's very deliberately thought-out menu. The Peking Duck is some of the best I've had. The cocktails are also excellent, with my favorite being a delicious, earthy combination of coconut, lime, and pandan. It's like an extremely upscale tiki drink. I cannot recommend this place enough. We went for the "favorites" menu which a $65/person was an absolute steal. You get two starters, dumplings and cured red snapper is what was offered. The chairs sucked to add to it. I find the bathroom, whoever thought it was such a good idea to put a faucet that high was special because you have to turn the water low enough or push the faucet to the side to prevent from it splashing all over you. My in-laws got there a few mins before us and got everyone waters which that was good. The waitress, it took her forever to come back by to ask for drinks or starters. Granted we were waiting for a few other people but my husband wanted a soda and we were going to go ahead and get an appetizer. I decide to stick with my water because I just felt like I would get a drink if I asked for something different. Which I was right. My husband had to wave the waitress down for his soda. She accidentally brought him diet. She never brought back his drink. I had to get up and ask the hostess about our his drink and that we were wanting to order an appetizer. The hostess apologized and said they were really busy. I know I had to fix my face because I looked around, saw our table, and two other tables, about 6 people at the bar that the bartender handled, and looked back at the hostess like, "wtf?" The rest of our group shows up. Waitress comes back. Still no drink for my husband and gets our appetizer orders along with the remaining drink orders. When the appetizers comes out, it was a guy who brought it to us and we asked him about the soda and he apologizes and gets it for us...finally. Nothing special about the appetizer just chips and dip. We finish it and once again...the waiting game. The rest of our group still had yet to get their drinks. She comes back after another long wait, drink less, and gets our orders. My father in-law mentions the drinks, she apologies, and gets them. The wait it took for our food to come was ridiculous. I hate to imagine how long we would have had to wait if it was actually busy. Maybe it might have been worth my wild if the food was phenomenal but the moment it was sat in front...I knew it was not gonna be good. I got the Alfredo with shrimp. It looked like some soup. The sauce to noodle ratio was not good. The sauce was so runny that I had to lean it and eat the noodle like Naruto eating ramen. 5 measly pieces of shrimp. The sauce was also very gritty. How something that is so runny also be gritty, I don't know but I've had lean cuisine frozen alfredo dinners better than this $29 plate. 3 of us ordered Alfredo, only one got a piece of bread but I'm not asking for bread because I don't want to wait 30 mins to get it. My son looked at me and legit said, "we should have just gone to Olive Garden" knowing good and well I don't care for Olive Garden but also knowing it would have been better than whatever this plate in front of me was called. When walking to my car, I looked at everyone and said, "I'm sorry but this place sucked. I've been curious about it and now that I've experienced it...there is nothing here that would bring me back." So I suggest spend your money elsewhere because there is nothing that makes this place standout enough to have the audacity to have nonexistent service and charge $29 for soupy Alfredo

It was incredibly moist and delicious. Honestly, I could've eaten four of them without shame or hesitation. My colleagues ordered burgers and fries. The part of the breading next to the onion was mushy so that threw off the texture of the whole thing too. The burger was very much like a Whataburger. Even the lettuce smelled the same.
