A friend and I dined in for a weekday lunch and loved it. Within 5-10 minutes of placing our order in, it was ready to be picked up from the front counter. I took advantage of their business lunch special which is offered Monday - Friday from 11am-3pm. For $13 you are given a plentiful amount of food and variety. I highly recommend it. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. The flavors are spot on with the proteins being juicy and tender, side salad is very fresh and of great quality, and the pita being fluffy and warm. So just wanna say that we asked if you are Zabiha halal, they said the beef is Zabiha halal but chicken is just halal. The certificate said beef is halal, no mention of chicken so just to be safe we got beef only. The beef was very good and tasty, the beef shawarma was great but the pita bread was ok. I'm at Pina Inn so often lately I should probably just start paying rent here haha. Honestly, I'm here almost every single week and I'm still not over it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first thing you'll notice is how obsessed the staff is with their cleanliness and customer services. It's rare to find a high-volume spot that stays this spotless, but they do an amazing job.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff is always on top of their game with being fast and friendly. What keeps me coming back is the consistency. Everything comes out fresh and piping hot. I've been to the wheeling location near my work, and unfortunately have had a dish come out cold there, but I've never had that issue at this location. My personal recommendations are the pita bread (it's pillow-soft), baba ganoush (it's so smoky and creamy, it just melts in your mouth). One of the combination platters (if you don't know what to get, just go for a combo. it's the best way to sample a little bit of everything and find your favorites). I've introduced so many of my friends to Mediterranean food specifically by bringing them here and every single one has fallen in love with the place. It's affordable, portions are huge. Such a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant that truly serves something for everyone (vegans/vegetarians/omnivores). I write all of my reviews to help everyone no matter their dietary choice. They have a QR code menu available for people with food allergies that lists potential allergens. They offer disabled parking spaces for those who need it, with a ramp entrance. I've been going to the different Pita Inn locations, including this one, for over 20 years and LOVE it. Yesterday we got falafel and for the first time ever it was VERY spicy. It's never been even mildly spicy before. I don't know what happened and sure hope this is an anomaly and that they didn't change the recipe. read more

LONG time Pita Inn customer here (since they only had the one Glenview location). I rarely ever say no to eating at Pita Inn as it typically tastes great has great value for what you pay (especially their lunch specials). [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was my first time going to this specific location and it was overall clean and spacious (good for groups of any size) with friendly staff all around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The only caveats I noticed was that they gave me a really tiny portion of beef shawarma (about six slices..I would have been happy with even just 10-12) and that their sauces were slightly on the tangier side. I tend to struggle in other middle eastern restaurants because I'm a picky eater, I don't like the salads they serve and I don't like sauces but here no problem. My wife and I dined in for a late lunch on a Sunday! My wife and I ordered the chicken shawarma entree which comes with salad and rice. We also added on a small hummus and an order of fries! We both had water to drink! Good things- Large restaurant with a few large seating areas!! Order at a register with a real person who knows the menu! Prices are reasonable!! I ordered Pita Inn through Uber eats for delivery to my hotel. My delivery driver, Solomon was fantastic, and ensured that my food arrived hot and delicious. He provided excellent service. The food itself was really very good, especially for takeout. I ordered the combo platter, the chicken, beef Shawarma, and kifka kebab were all seasoned well and super delicious. The rice was fantastic, and the hummus was perfect. I also quite enjoyed the falafel. My coworkers and I ordered a large amount of food and had it delivered through DoorDash. After waiting over an hour it was finally delivered. It wasn't the dashers fault because she kept us updated that she was waiting for the food. She also told us that they said they checked the entire order before handing it off to her. When it finally arrived we realized that there was only one bag. We realized that two entire orders were missing AND all the pitas for ALL the entrees. We called and JOSE answered the phone. He was instantly rude and condescending. He told us we would have to order again to get our food. When we said that wasn't an option he offered a CREDIT and not a refund. After several minutes of back and forth he finally said he would refund the amount. We did the math after hanging up and he had shorted us almost $3. Not a big amount, but still not right. Since we didint order the chicken schwarma this platter mess comes with a warm tasteless salad and not fatoush. When questioned why no fatoush their answer was that we had to have the chicken schwarma to get fatoush. Walk in, order at the counter to the left, get a pager, wait for pager to buzz, walk to the open kitchen, drop off pager, collect food.
