Probably one of the worst middleastern food ive ever had....the hummus , baba and tahini were so tasteless...the Shawarma was actually cut tgan finished on the griddle with oil and onion? The baklava was dry....i spent $35 on this fast food joint and threw most of the food to the trash..... sad...

Food is not very good. Rice is dry. Maybe its the oil? The Pepsi seems watered down.

Mediterranean food is my favorite I've not been disappointed by anything I have ordered. I've tried there couple dishes, but my most favorite is the " Chicken Shish Taouk". You can really tell how passionate they are about food.

Absolutely delicious! The flavors are fresh, the portions generous, and everything is packed with authentic taste. Pitazone is my go-to spot when I'm craving something satisfying and full of flavor. Highly recommend!

Great prices for a lot of healthy food, ask about lunch special so worth it. Not going next door to McDonald's ever again! Variety of fresh Mediterranean food. Try the lunch meat plate complete with salad falafel, nan. Chicken kabobs and a beef kefta. Forgot to take the photo before I dove in dont judge me its that good.

Gyro was subpar. The meat was ok but the onions and lettuce weren't great and not enough tzatziki sauce.

This is a nice, small Middle Eastern market compared to Souq Fresh Market in Lombard. Souq is very big. This market has a lot of unique Middle Eastern snacks that I've never seen before along with a kitchen that you can order lunch and dinner from. Lunch is served 10 am - 2 pm. I believe dinner is served from 2 pm to 9 pm. Don't quote me on the end dinner times. They have 3 tables that you can eat at. I came after 10:20 am and I ordered the chicken kufta lunch special, two different kinds of samosa, and kebabs. Prices were cheap, I got all of this for $25. They also have an area where you can get some fresh meat and deli items. Staff was friendly. Overall 4 out of 5. If they fixed the kebabs, it would easily be a 5. -chicken kufta lunch special 5 - he made this fresh. You get one pita bread with it. Meat was soft and tender. The rice and salad were very tasty. Huge portion. -samosas 5 - I got one beef and one potato. They were both delicious. -kebabs 3.5 - he gave me two big kebabs but they did not taste freshly made. I'm no stranger to kebabs and I usually like my kebabs to be tender and juicy. These were semi tough and kind of dry inside. I can see the spices in them but they would taste even better new.

It's a true hole-in-the-wall spot with just enough seating for about 10-15 people, but don't let the size fool you--it's clearly a local favorite because it was busy throughout lunch. Taste of Jerusalem is the kind of place that reminds you why you should never judge a restaurant by its zip code or its signage. Tucked into a perfectly forgettable strip mall in Plainfield, this little spot is quietly serving some of the best food in the area and I am genuinely annoyed it took me this long to find it. The chicken kabob plate was a revelation. Massive portions of beautifully marinated chicken laid over a split of white rice and spicy rice. That spicy rice deserves its own paragraph. Fragrant, deeply spiced, with a slow building heat that lingers just long enough to keep pulling you back for another bite. Addicting is the only word for it. The hummus was exactly what hummus should be, fresh, delicious, also addictive. I added falafel and pita and those falafel were genuinely among the best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, not a trace of that greasy heaviness that ruins lesser versions. Just fragrant, spiced, crispy little bites that I genuinely savored. My partner got the chicken wrap and said every component worked together without competing, tasted fresh, and left him full without feeling heavy. High praise from a man who knows his way around a wrap. The space is clean and simple. You order from a kiosk. None of that matters because the husband and wife team running the grill are pouring obvious passion into every plate and it comes through in every single bite. Plainfield has a gem here. Treat it accordingly.

This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree! Upon my first visit on a Thursday for lunch, the waitress Nur provided excellent service to our table. She was patient, pleasant, and provided answers to our many questions. Just loved her service with a smile and uplifting energy. My friends and I ate hard and everyone enjoyed their food. I tried the lentil soup which was wonderful and I had the mushroom guvec with rice on the side that was delicious. We were served tea as an after dinner refresher which was nice. We noticed the bakery on the way out and they had so many treats ready to be ordered and taken home. The second visit was terrible. I came for lunch on a Tuesday and it wasn't busy. The lahmacon is offered as a lunch special and I asked if I could have the cheesemacon for the special. It's the same version with just cheese and no meat. My waiter Jamal straight told me no. I found that very odd so I inquired further because they are the same price on the menu and it's without meat. The answer still didn't change. I simply had a few more questions about other menu items and Jamal seemed agitated by then. He was not even trying to be nice. I ordered two entrees. I paid full price for the cheesemacon and had a pide with kashkaval cheese. Jamal brought my food and NEVER came back to my table. I watched him provide service to all the other tables during that time. I was fine and didn't need anything, but I didn't deserve to be treated that way for being pleasantly inquisitive. I really felt bothered by this because out of all my years of eating out, I never felt that a server treat me poorly personally for being myself. I've had bad service before just because the service is bad overall and that is different. I like the food so I reluctantly returned for a third time and had breakfast. Service was standard and the food was good. My mushroom omelette was fine. The traditional french toast was solid. This review should be one star but it is four without Jamal.
