I always go to Angel--why? Because she is simply the best at what she does. Her designs are amazing, and I can bring in any Instagram or inspiration photo and she recreates it perfectly every time. She is also incredibly detail-oriented when it comes to cleaning, trimming, and caring for the nails and cuticles before applying Gel-X, which really shows in the final result. I also come here for pedicures, and they are just as satisfying and thorough. I never leave feeling like the service was rushed or subpar. I waited an extra 10-15 minutes from my 1030 appointment. Its a saturday, I get it. I placed my appointment online on june 30, 2024 with a deposit of 20$ (i guess its to secure your spot). Rachel did my gel x. It was my first time so i dont really know what to process is. She gave me what I wanted- shape-round, short, nude with chrome. Simple. I love it until i saw excess gel.. and if you've been getting your nails done for a while its bothersome because it sticks to your nails.. does not look natural when you look from underneath. I came back inside to get it fixed and just told me its because I was getting a pedicure not comfortable to get manicure at the same time. Get it. But shit, 90$ for this? And they're short with no designs? What more when you get more Designs placed?? So upsetting because I'll be going on a trip and this was the first time I had my nails done in monnnthsss. I really took some thought where'd go to get them done. BIG MISTAKE. I have been following them on instagram for a very long time because they're really good but i am skeptical so i finally came here because my sister n law gets her nails done here and loved her experience. I do not recommend coming here. I probably wont be coming back. Got my toes done here too and it wasnt bad. I felt relaxed after. Total + tip is 150$ UPDATE**** They would rather give a gift card then just a simple refund back on Venmo. LMFAO Like i said I was not upset over the DESIGN PRICES. I like their online scheduling. They give discounts if you book with a new artist. I usually book them since I'm not too picky and who doesn't like a few percentages off? This time the new artist (Liz) texted me the night before asking if I had a design in mind. So I sent over the inspiration, along with my current condition of my nails. My original appointment was 3:30 pm on a Saturday. At 1:45pm, I got a text from the owner, Tania, saying that Liz would be available earlier at 3pm, if I want to come in. Thankfully, I was free and decided to take the new slot. Liz was great! The inspiration picture had longer nails and since I wanted on my shorter natural nails, she explained that the design would have to be changed a bit to accommodate. She asked my choice on the tone of the white I wanted, a grayer or whiter. I had a foreign gel X that she took the time to remove. She then again made sure that I understand the design would be a bit different to fit my shorter nails. Overall, she was very sweet and accommodating. First time coming to Pisces Nail Studio and I was not disappointed. I'll start off with the "making an appointment process", so quick and easy! I've been following Tania for a while now on Instagram and she does a great job updating and being active of her social media platform which makes it super easy to see any open appointments. Appointment link is on their bio and the booking site is easy to use. I actually DM'd Tanka before booking to get some guidance on what options to elected based on the design I was interested in getting, response time was very quick which is truly appreciated. Please be aware there is a deposit you have to pay to confirm your booking but it is used towards your total bill at the end of your appointment. Once your appointment is booked, I really liked the email notifications and reminder emails sent, as a person who is always on the go, I appreciated this. I booked my appointment with Tania and a day before she kindly texted me to ask for my nail design inspo that way she could have everything prepared for my appointment. Loved this! Just gives a little extra touch of great customer service and ensures you get what you're looking for. Day of appointment: Pisces nail salon is inside Sola Salon, upon entering there's a screen which displays all the little suite numbers in order to guide you to the right place. My appointment was at 10:30 and I got there about 10 minutes before. They have a small bench to wait outside in the event they have a client still sitting at their table. My appointment did start a little later but honestly it was probably like a 10 minute wait which is understandable and I didn't mind at all. During appointment: Tania was very sweet and was good at giving me guidance on the best nail size and color would look best. She also goes over pricing once again (although they are very clear about their prices both on social media and on their booking site so there's no surprises). Although the appointment was about an hour, it went by so quickly I felt like I was there for 20 minutes. Tania is very fast but also very detailed with her work! I was in awe. I went with a round ombré chrome design and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HOW THEY CAME OUT. I've already received so many compliments on my nails and it's only been a day. They feel so light and the shape is literally perfect, I can continue my day to day things without feeling bothered. Definitely look forward to coming back and recommending this salon to others! read more
