Purchased on separate occasions a new garage door and springs from Pioneer Door. One of the hinges popped and was expecting to pay $20-$30 for the small part - supporting local business. They insisted that they no longer will sell parts and will send someone out for $100-$200 to give me a bid for the hinge and would offer no other solutions and asking me if I had anything else and hung up. I picked it up today on Amazon for $7 delivered and was really ok with spending much more for the part requiring 4 small bolts. At least offer solutions to your actual customers...I'll gladly go somewhere else next time. Problem fixed. read more

Their technician came out and dealt with a very tricky installation very well. Way beyond expectations. Something wasn't quite right a few weeks later and they came out and had it working in 15 minutes free of charge. It's worked perfectly ever since! (P.S. I called a few places before I called Pioneer. This was the only company I called that would give me answers over the phone and were also helpful to instill confidence in their abilities. I had tried to install my own opener and springs and it just wasn't working. Mike was nice enough to tell me what to do over the phone and when I decided I should hire an expert, I did. These people are great. I had an old door that sounded more like an old wooden roller coaster than a garage door so I had them over to check things out. Turns out that things just needed a little attention. I will definitely be going here when I decide to just get a new door for a facelift to the house. read more

This is a terrible and unethical company. My 89 year old Mom had them come out to fix her door and they told her she needed a whole new panel so she paid them for that panel, within one month the rubber sealing strip fell off the bottom of the brand new panel ( my Mom rarely uses her garage door so it probably would have been discovered sooner). She call them and tells them and they come out and "fix" it. It should have been covered by warranty according to thier original invoice. But they bill her over $300 but before she pays the bill within 2 weeks it falls off again. She call them and they say they will fix it, a month goes by and nobody comes, she calls again another month goes by and nobody comes, Finally she pays a handyman to fix it and then 2 weeks after that they call and say they say they are on their way. She says never mind she paid someone else to fix it. They still demand payment and threaten to send her to collections which of course upsets my 89 year old mom. I call and offer them $200 and they say No and have now sent her to collections. They said the reason for the 2 1/2 month delay was because they were too busy and hers was a warranty claim, so it was not urgent. I look at her paperwork and it was a warranty claim but they are charging her over $300. Very dishonest company. If anybody else has trouble like this we would like to know-seems like there is a Consumer Protection claim for deceptive practices. read more

Bad business ! ! ! Extremely expensive quote ! ! ! And WORST they charged us $ 160 ( for supposedly Servicing the garage door ) just for one their employees ( who was polite though ) to show up and tell us that we need a new garage door. I contacted them telling them that it is insane that for a 15 minute quote we should get charged $ 160 but they argued that because they had a technician on site, we should get charged that amount. Here is the tricky part, we had already sent them pictures of our garage door prior to the repairman coming over so they should have already let us know that we need a new door and avoid the $ 160 charge. They basically sent someone over, charged us $ 160 and then explained, that this amount can be used towards a down payment for a new door Found another company that gave me a free estimate, replaced the whole mechanism for half the price and gave me a life time guarantee for all the parts. read more

Deleted previous review as some things have changed. I'm sure they could have done better, but they didn't. Because the house has settled as it has, they are going to have to come back, scheduled for this week or next, because of the gap in the door on one side. I also called to let them know that the techs did not sweep the floor, and there were nails, nuts, bolts and washers littering the floor, and they did not put the light bulb into the opener. Not thrilled about that as I get home from midnight from work. Spoke to the front desk, Diane, and she was very apologetic and they were aware of the problem with the door. I informed her of the other 2 issues, and again I found her to be very pleasant and apologetic. It was refreshing to see the "on top of it" attitude they had. I would call them again, and just hope for a better crew. With any luck, this will be dealt with appropriately internally, and they as well will not have to deal with it. read more

Fast, very efficient, friendly, and reasonably priced. Had both springs break on my garage door. Pioneer was here on time, changed my springs, realigned the door, and lubed the many squeeking bearings and hinges. The whole thing took less than an hour and the cost was under their estimate. I have been trying to get them to install the weatherstripping on my doors for several months now. The installer when he came out to adjust the doors did not install the weatherstripping. I have had numerous calls in to them with the same response. "Let me get a hold of Mike to find out what is going on and I will get back to you, what is best number to reach you at?" Think they did?........It is service like this that gives the construction industry a black eye. I kind of blame myself. I paid them in full before they were 100% done. You draw your own conclusions. I will now have a third party supply and install the weatherstripping and as a matter of principal pursue this in small claims court. Buyer beware read more

I had a very poor experience dealing with Pioneer Door company . They install the garage door in 2012. I was given 1 year warranty on parts and labor. I called the company right before Christmas 2014, my door was not working. They said they'll send someone right away. Nothing was said about a visit fee, nor for time of travelling. Two technicians showed up at my door 40 minutes later, adjusted the sensor ( it was moved by garbage cans) , it took about 10 minutes overall time. They gave me a bill for $162... As it found out they charge to travel time and a "labor" of 2 technicians, apparently it takes 2 men to adjust a tiny sensor. I called the company trying to reason the charge, only to be scolded for not knowing their prices. Three weeks later, the wire of the door broke for good. I wrote to the owner of the company , it took him a month to respond... Needless to say , I took my business elsewhere and the door has been fixed by another company ( Best & Fast Garage Door Repair) that does not charge for travel time and gave me a 10 years (!) warranty and were courteous. Can't say the same about Pioneer door. read more

DO NOT USE PIONEER DOOR!!!! After decades of using this company for commercial doors, I decided to use them for my personal home. I spent over $30k and 1 month after moving in one of the openers stopped working. Instead of warranting it after sending someone to replace the motor he avoided my phone calls and ultimately sent me to collections instead of speaking with me about the matter and resolving it. Charged me full price plus labor to install the new motor one month after moving into a new construction home. It doesn't end there. I had to install the weather stripping after more than a year of waiting, we still don't have any of the hardware we paid for to have installed, and as of late had to have another company (Heston Door) fix another motor acting up now tonight another one crapped out. After hundreds of jobs thrown his way and thousands of dollars spent over a couple decades and multiple generations, I will never use him for anything again. We had a great relationship with that company but I closed the account and still nothing from them. Customer service is terrible. Also, never use Marantec products as they are garbage. If I could give them zero stars I would. This company doesn't deserve to be in business or have any customers. Mike, the owner is an arrogant piece of you know what. I hope he reads this. read more

Had an emergency where my springs broke. I first called the original company that had installed my garage door openers but they were booked thru Friday (I told them it was an emergency and couldn't get my car out- it was Tuesday)- so I called around and Pioneer Door in Lynnwood said they could get someone out by noon or early afternoon. "Denise" was very good. She had good customer service and kept in touch with me to let me know where the service guy was. She was sympathetic and funny at the same time which helped since I was sort of in distress. read more

Awful!! Do not use these people if you need your garage repaired. From their customer service, through to their technician, there is incompetence. After waiting 10 days for somebody to come out and supposedly 'repair' my door, the guy was here for 2 minutes only to tell me they didn't have the parts and needed to order them. He tells me he will call me within 5 minutes of leaving my house to let me know how long it will take. An hour and a half later, still no call. By now I am so frustrated I call somebody else - they were there within 2 hours and fixed it. Now, 2 weeks later I am getting a bill of $160!!! They did nothing and nobody ever told me there would be a fee for coming out without actually doing anything. Disgusting customer service! read more

Phone calls are returned promptly if voice mail message for service is left after hours. They are knowledgeable, personable and reliable to show up on scheduled appointment time. I have never given a 5 star review but I have to say this company deserves it. They took the time to explain my options and the service was SAME DAY. They came in much cheaper than competitors and the service was so far above big box they couldn't compare. Fast, honest, best price and off the charts service. I always prefer to support the local business over big box. Big box would only quote a new door and were and I felt like they were annoyed that I called them. read more
