Pizza was sloppy and flavor was nothing special. Ordered a mushroom pizza with garlic and it only came with mushrooms. Also paid for sauce on the side and did not receive that as well. Two small pies for $50. Definitely not worth it. read more

Terrible service I went there with some friends Andy friend had called before going there that we wanted to eat out doors and they said that they had an outdoor area when we got there to the outdoor area there was a lady who decided to close the area because she said it was hot and that the ac was better, despite we telling her that we didn't want her to close the area she dismissed our request and decided to proceed. After that we order pizza with basil and they forgot to put the basil . So they brought the basil uncooked separately . I used to go to this restaurant before the pandemic many times. And we were always pleased with the service after the pandemic I don't know what happen. But this place is not the same anymore no quality service and no quality food. Love this place. Great pastas and pizza. The wait staff that helped us seemed distracted, she didn't offer us water, had to ask her for the complimentary bread and she didn't bring it with the oil, salt and pepper that they usually bring had to ask her for that also, and the pepper flakes also missing, also had to ask for the park cheese, she brought one empty. When they brought the pasta, it was clearly for sharing and she didn't provide a spoon. I have been here many times and this is the first time that I have experienced this. Perhaps they should train their staff just a tad for the usual good service I received in the past. Definitely recommend it, food was delish. read more

Top notch in service and taste! Randomly stopped by Piola after being placed on a 45 minute wait list at a restaurant a few doors down. When asked how quickly we could be seated they instantly accommodated our family of four. It was a busy Friday night however the hostess was kind enough to find us a table. The service was excellent. Quick to attend and even quicker to serve our order. Tried the gnocchi and papardelle... both dishes were fantastic! We were in and out within 45 minutes. Funny enough, I received a text from the restaurant we were originally waiting for letting me know that the table was ready however we were full, content and on the way home thanks to Piola and their great food/awesome service. Always on the prowl for the next great meal !! My wife and I stopped in to this cool place . Then parking is tough but once you find a spot won't regret it . We started out with the meatball appetizers and they were really good . Just the right amount of cheese and sauce . We went for the mozz and basil pizza with some Prosciutto that was super thin and with a great crunchy crust . The service was also great with Angela . We will be back for sure !!!! read more

Excellent pizza! Vegetarians rejoice :) We had the funghi misti and it was perfect for my mushroom lover husband. We also had the ortomisto and it was loaded with lots of different vegetables. Both pizzas were thin crust perfection and we enjoyed both. We also got the tiramisu for dessert and it was delicious!! Recommend piola for lunch or dinner the Italian food is incredible. read more

One of our standby places... usually go there 2-3 times per month. The pizzas and salads are always delicious. Cordial service. Very affordable if you get the lunch specials, but if you go for dinner be ready to pay about $20-25 per person, once it's all said and done. read more

Wow, this place is a franchise, but OMG is the food good!!! We came here on a recommendation from a work colleague and really was surprised about the quality and taste of the meal. We started with the burratta and prosciutto app and it was fantastic. The Prosciutto was thinly sliced and melted in your mouth! My kids shared a cheese pizza and the wife and I shared a pizza with Carpaccio (I forget the cute name they used). Both were really good, they have super thin and crispy crust (be warned) but I love it! We finished the meal with the chocolate cake and it was gone in 5 minutes even though "nobody wanted desert". I know they have a full list of wines, which I will try next time. Definitely coming back!!! read more

This was my first time here. My daughter and her friend have been begging me to take them. The girls ordered a margherita pizza for $9.95. It arrived less than ten mins later, thin, perfectly cooked, with the right amount of cheese and tomato sauce. I recommend adding the cheese that's on the table to each slice. It makes the taste pop. The avocado dip is out of this world. Taste like very fresh guacamole. That alone was $10.95 tho. The ambiance is very nice and chill. They have a happy hour from 5-7 which includes almost everything half price. Also they have liquor, beer and wine-all good stuff! The service was really amazing. Quick, attentive and caring. I am sad to give a local place a one star, but the service today was almost comical. Waiter was new and could not comprehend our order and got it wrong.. all I can say is that my glass of water came at the end of our meal after 4 requests.. pizza was good, salad was the saddest salad I have ever seen and paying $19 for it, was disturbing. Not the Piola of the past. The pizza list is curtailed and they no longer have one with prosciutto and arugula, which was our favorite. Tonight I had chicken parmigiana which lacked a bit of tomato sauce. Side of spaghetti was ok but the sauce a bit watery. Pizza carbonara was ok. read more

I used to go to the Piola in Brickell for many years, especially for lunch since I worked within walking distance. I was so glad to see that they were opening up another one in the Pinecrest area! I stopped by for dinner with my family and I really liked the location and how it was decorated. The staff was extremely friendly and so was the server. We tried the flavored caipirinha but they were really thick and had to add water to them so that wasn't great. We ordered the Hawaiian, classic, and calzone. Everything was great and served quickly. Overall it was great but we'll pass on the drinks in the future. Look forward to visiting again! read more

Walked in for lunch expecting to find lunch specials and was disappointed to find out they had none. The pizzas were delicious and beautifully presented mine just wasn't practical. As beautiful as it was it made no sense. My mother had the margherita pizza and I had the Italia pizza. The Italia comes with chopped tomatoes, arugula and ricotta but instead of spreading it all over the pizza they put it in three rows so you have to mix it yourself. That put a little bit of a damper on the situation for me because the ricotta was a lumped up in the middle of the pizza. Aside from that, the pizzas are delicious, made with an extra thin crust with just the right amount of crunch just how I like it. Can't wait to come back for their Monday through Thursday specials when they have $6 pizzas for an hour I believe 3 - 4 but don't quote me on that. Then next hour all pizzas are $7 then next hour $8. Can't beat those prices for these gourmet pizzas. read more

Have been there 3 times already in the last 10 days. I consider myself somewhat of a "pizza snob" as I am really picky about my pizza. I must say this is THE CLOSEST PIZZA TO WHAT YOU'D FIND IN ITALY (IMO)!! Ingredients are so fresh and high quality! Owners are delightful, as are all the employees/servers we've encountered each time! Always greeted with a "buenasera"! Takes us back to our days in Italy! Last night, my husband was floored by the spaghetti & meatballs, also stating how authentic it was to what you'd find in Italy! Bonus: great atmosphere and a full bar!! This newly opened Piola of Pinecrest is fantastic. I hope more people come here so that this place doesn't fall victim to closing down thanks to the ridiculous rent prices Terranova have monopolied in this plaza. The pizza's are all 12 inches. They have over 40 different topping choices, so they'll have what you're looking for. All the pizza's are wood fired thin crust. They taste better than they look to be honest. It's cut into four ginormous slices, but you can finish it all with a friend and a decent hunger factor. Appetizers are hella expensive. Whether it's worth it or not is up to your taste buds. Our Shrimp and Avocado featured a wonderful cocktail sauce that U wanted to bottle and take home with me. And it was the best avocado I've had in a long time. On the dessert menu, there is a Nutella/Strawberry Pizza. Enough said... But the Tiramisu is excellent too for the fans of traditional Italian dessert. Please come visit this place if you're in the area, as the experience is totally worth it. From Monday to Friday, ALL pizzas are $6 from 4-5 P.M. and $7 from 5-6 P.M. Came in for their All You Can Eat Gnocchi day for $15.95 which is every 29th of the month. My boyfriend and I were worried we had come a little too late since we arrived 40 minutes before closing but were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant bustling and a table easily available for us. Our server Juano was fantastic and very attentive throughout our whole meal. The way they do the gnocchi special is by giving you an empty plate and as its freshly prepared by the kitchen they have servers come around the table to serve you a spoonful or two. This ensures that you get to try all of their wonderful sauce combinations that varied between creamy and tomato bases. The actual gnocchi was delicious and very well prepared----my favorites were the prosciutto rosemary cream sauce and the chicken broccoli cheese! I checked out this place today with my husband, son and a family friend for a "light" dinner. It's a small little place next to Flanagan's that I've somehow always over looked (I'm so sorry). The ambiance is really nice. When you first walk in there is bar seating, booths and tables in the back. Our server was super friendly. I wish i could remember his name. I feel like he really made the experience for us. He didn't seem to mind our rambunctious 2 year old jumping around and playing near our booth. None of the other people dining in seemed to mind either so that was really awesome. The pizza was DELICIOUS. We got a margarita pizza and the ortomisto pizza (eggplant, spinach, peppers, broccoli and tomatoes). That was the first time I've had eggplant or broccoli on pizza and I definitely would eat that again. Super yum! You also get free bread before your meal. And they place a large container-thing? Filled with Parmesan on your table so my toddler enjoyed a plate of Parmesan appetizer before his pizza :D read more

Horrible experience - I ate cold pizza - 1.5hr later - for delivery ...but I had to go pick it up myself. And of course, according to Piola's personnel, it's my fault for "ordering through the computer". What a shame. I ordered for delivery online at 8.40pm - after an hour I called the restaurant (at 9.40pm) - they told me "this will be ready in 15 mins". I called again at 10pm - they said "will be ready in 5 minutes" - I then drove there (at this point I don't believe they'll even deliver the pizza properly). As I complained for the 1.5hr wait (and no delivery) I was told "the problem is that you ordered through the computer" (...so basically it's my fault). What a horrible experience. This place was good! The ambiance and atmosphere of Piola is nice and comforting. The service was great too. I got the Honolulu Pizza which was very tasty! If you like a pizza that is thin and not greasy, this might be a good option for you. This is my go to spot for pizza but recently I swapped out the normal cheese for the vegan cheese that they offer and it was sooooooo bad. I forcefully had one slice and ended up throwing away the rest of the pie. You're better off just getting one with just tomato sauce. read more

It's always a struggle finding vegan cheese pizza around here, so I was excited to try it at such a well-reviewed spot. I got a medium vegan cheese for takeout, and the crust was super thin. The pizza resembled a flatbread. There wasn't much sauce to it but the cheese was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'd try it again, but the leftovers heated up well and I'm still searching for better vegan pizza in Miami. read more

Beyond impressed with the quality and service at this place!! We arrived on a Thursday night (I want to add that in Thursdays ladies drink unlimited wine until closing times, Yes UNLIMITED) and we were a party of 7. Our table took about thirty minutes to be ready given the size of the party and it was also pretty packed. They had a live duo which was very good. I had the margherita pizza and the bruschetta and I was impressed with how well done the pizza was. The waitress checked on us often and kept refilling our wine. The prices are also great. I recommend this place for anyone looking to have a casual yet tasty dinner. And the unlimited wine is definitely a huge plus! read more

Unfortunately, the illusion fades rather quickly. The first sign of trouble arrives with the server sporting a rather impressive lip piercing, followed closely by a colleague whose diamond nose stud could probably be seen from space. Not exactly the ambiance one expects when aiming for "elegant." Despite the abundance of servers floating around the dining room, none seem to notice when your knife dramatically dives off the table and lands on the floor -- where it enjoys a long, lonely stay. Water service is also quite innovative: they simply leave the entire bottle at the table, which seems less about generosity and more about avoiding the inconvenience of returning to refill your glass. The food? Sadly just as uninspired. From the octopus to the $68 Milanese, every dish managed the impressive feat of being completely flavorless. The Milanese arrived with a beautiful crust, which raised hopes... until you realized there was no sauce, no garnish, and nothing to rescue what turned out to be a remarkably bland plate. Meanwhile, the staff appears deeply committed to minimizing effort -- though not shy about judging you directly when the tip doesn't meet their expectations. All in all, this place feels like fine dining in costume. Perhaps a return to the basics of hospitality and service would be a good start... followed by a serious conversation with whoever is currently in the kitchen.
