Is this the new standard for Pinstack?! WTF?!! On 12/29/19 we decided to bring our visiting family and show them a good time as I'm sure lots of Yelpers did. Not to sound cliche but we have party full of kids visiting , they want to bowl. From our experience automatically think of Pinstack since we used to bring both of our children here before they turned into teens. First interaction as we come in is with Aalysha right off the bat greeted with attitude, we gather all the kids to ask for shoe size for 9 kids. If the sight of 9 kids 3 adults is overwhelming for her she should start contemplating a career change. My sister in law went ahead told her my niece's shoe size threw them at her, I went ahead and gave her the remaining shoe sizes in an orderly manner to make her job easier and I got the shoes thrown at the counter implying get out of my face. We all have bad days at work (check) but if I pulled what she did my employer would terminate me ASAP. Second incident 25 minutes into our game our server hasn't showed up to ask if we would like water (NOTHING). 2 servers sitting down for a couple minutes sitting behind our lane make eye contact with my wife and I but no service still. Walked up to the bar to get drinks, can't get ice tea for my wife because they don't offer it at the bar, oh well right? Deal with it!! Finally the bartender must've told Walter ( one of the supervisors) who was very attentive, sympathetic towards our complaints. Long story short went in to Pinstack to show our family a great time and after the whole visit we're left with a terrible taste in our mouth and don't know if I'll give them a chance again. So, I really want to give this place a 5 for our experience at the end. However, I looked at my receipt and it said Alexandria was my server. Wrong! Alexandria brought 16 waters one lemonade and a coke to the table behind us and left. Her exact words "y'all can figure it out" ! Bad service and she missed out! She focused on the lane next to us. We learned that the young man Ryan who actually worked the VIP Room like a Champ wasn't even our server. I hope he doesn't have to tip share with her. She did nothing. If she was the only representative of the company it would fall on its face. Ryan was everything. He worked not only our two lanes but every lane in VIP but one. This young man never got frustrated. He kept a smile and he was open and willing to serve. I was so impressed with him and with an attitude such as his, he will go far. I had to tell the manager on duty now her name misses me either Cindy/Cynthia how awesome he was. And she was a great manager too. You can tell she takes pride in her job. She has a fun spirit about her. Pinstack is a family fun experience for everyone. We enjoyed laser tag, bumper cars and I think I can ride a motorcycle now. I would recommend this place to anyone. Service is less than average. Expect for wait staff to be unfriendly and inattentive. Ropes course is less than helpful when it comes to strapping a child into the harness - safety should be a top priority and not chatting with another co-worker. We were told that there was a 2.5 hour wait for bowling - never mind the fact that 1/2 of the lanes were closed with no explanation. No one could seem to tell us why all lanes weren't being played. Oh, and you're supposed to be able to get food and drinks while bowling - forget that!!! Not a single server asked us if we needed anything. We got our own drinks - and refills - and decided to go elsewhere for food. And the sad part is that we have been to other locations and had a much better experience. I came to Pinstack in a private business social and it was a great event. The service was excellent and the drinks at the bar were made well. The bar had a lot of local beers on tap including the crowd favorite Peticolas velvet hammer. The bowling lanes were excellent and well kept, which made the experience very smooth and exciting. The lights were a little dimmer than I'm used to when bowling, but it made the environment a lot more personable. The macaroni cheese balls had good flavor but were a little oily, as well as the burgers were all a bit oily, but Pinstack is foremost a bowling alley and arcade, rather than a nice restaurant. read more

My two complaints were the service was extremely slow, it was 3 o'clock on a Tuesday there was not many people there yet it took us almost 30 mins to get chicken wings and fries...and mind you the fries came out 10 mins after the chicken wings ...then when I asked if they did anything for birthdays I was told no. The drinks tasted like rubbing alcohol, the employees are way more concerned with their own convos than their job: we walked in and got a lane for 2 hours, when we approached every ball in the selection was sitting on our return, so you know nothing had been cleaned or sanitized in I don't know how many games. A bunch of snotty kids running around forced me and my husband out 45 minutes earlier than expected and today he and I both have fevers of 101, waiting on COVID test results. We evacuated from hurricane Laura to Grapevine. We brought our 7 year old granddaughter, adult daughters, and son in law. Best bowling center ever! After bowling, she had a blast in the arcade area. Had a blast!! Laser tag was organized, sufficiently sized teams, clear instructions, and loads of fun. Wall rock climb was divided into easy to hard sections marked by different colors, the harness and role system was easy to maneuver and safe. Rope course ranged from easy to difficult and you had the option of choosing different routes based on the way the harness is secured to the top railing. Games were fun and functioning! For a Friday afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all! Definitely recommend for groups. Other notes: Clean and ample bathroom stalls. Staff (Stan) that went above and beyond to help us out. read more

Came here for a team bonding event with my company, we were a group of about 40 from all over the US! We had scheduled a night with a dinner buffet, a few hours of bowling, a few hours of arcade time. I didn't have to pay for anything because it was a work event, so my review is solely for my experience here. We had a genuine blast here, it was a great place for a corporate event that allowed for people to socialize but also be free to do whatever they want. The space seemed to be very newly renovated, and everything was clean and the service was great. Im not a huge bowler, but it was a great space to be with a big group! Super comfortable seating, and enough space to comfortably walk around and talk to others while waiting for your turn to bowl. The arcade was so much fun, there were tons of modern games (I slayed my boss at guitar hero) and also some fun classics as well. Bumper cars were great, hadnt done that in years, and the high ropes course was super fun for those who did it! Laser tag was also a great time, I haven't played in years but it was honestly a blast. The arena has two floors which really blew my mind. There was really just a ton of stuff to do, and I probably would have stayed longer given the chance, which is not always the case with work events! Im not sure how, but for a group of 40 people ranging in ages from 23-mid 60's, this was the PERFECT place to have a work event. Hello Internet, You don't know me, but I'd like to share with you an experience. That experience is named Cole. There were five of us. It was a Friday; 10 o'clock. We rolled in, 4 of us ready to bowl, one of us ready to break a nail. That's me. The nail breaker. Not only did we get a lane immediately, but they carry half sizes, which I know, seems super basic, but I can not tell you how many pairs of ladies size 9's I've swam in while bowling. Actually I can, like four. But, the crowning glory of lane 15 was definitely our awesome server, Cole. He was fast, he was accurate and he was attentive. Plus I really just feel like he gets me as a person, ya know? I don't even like bowling but I would absolutely go back just for him. Cole, if you're reading this you are truly a champion amongst men. Only reason they get 4 stars is they are a little pricy food and beverage wise for what you're getting. read more

This is a great concept with poor execution. I truly believe that employees are a direct reflection of their management. So this is not a diss on any employee that I experienced tonight. 1. Our reservations were lost They apologized but obviously couldn't make adjustments in their schedule to accommodate our group. Double check your reservations!!! 2. We sat in the main bar/dining area. Big mistake. Our food was delivered randomly. One person got their food, then three people, then two people, then one person, then the last person. Don't expect to have everyone eat at the same time!! 3. Glasses were dirty. 4. Bathrooms are dirty. 5. Finally we get to bowl! Over one hour into bowling were we asked if we wanted anything to eat or drink. 6. Bowling scores don't calculate right 7. Check your ticket!! Added items and weird tip amounts showed up. Basically if you want to drop your kids off to play games and you don't care about service, then go here. Otherwise for the people with no kids, don't go. read more

I had heard so many good things about this place! Unfortunately the experience was not at all appealing! Started out by playing some games while we waited for our lane, which we upgraded to VIP, thinking it would be an even better experience...wrong! So every game we tried, they were broken! They did reimburse us for the games and we went to try a few others! Always a glitch on them! So then proceed to our lane which the whole room was empty and not sure why we couldn't have started earlier it took forever for "our own" waiter to come! Food, that I heard was "so" good was mediocre and my pizza was cold along with burned sweet potato fries and an undercooked order of fries that were cold! The wings were ok! Went to Pinstack for the first time this Thursday. The company I work for had a work party there and everything was really nice! The staff was friendly and helpful, a hefty task since my whole office was there! We definitely got the full Pin Stack experience; open bar, bowling, catered food, and a points card for a few arcade games! The catered food was very good. Some of the highlights included mozzarella sticks, Chips and queso, cookies, and tacos! I normally don't like the catered food at events like this... but i was pleasantly surprised when everything came out hot, fresh, and yummy! (Also the margaritas and Moscow mules are DELICIOUS!) I thought the arcade games were a little expensive but I think the laser tag part of Pin Stack is a steal! I agreed to go bowling here with some friends after looking online and saw that they were enforcing social distancing and mask wearing (When not eating or drinking). I am still very much trying to be safe, but I guess isolation got the best of me and I decided to go and how very much I regret it. I was in the VIP room for bowling, thinking separate space would be better, more spaced out. Wrong. They had every single lane full and only plexiglass between the shared booths. So the group who was sitting directly behind me, essentially sharing our back rests, weren't separated by anything, and on top of that NO ONE was wearing a mask except myself and the staff, it was the most uncomfortable outing I've had since Covid started. One guest was sitting there coughing out in the open, no mask, no covering her mouth, like ma'am COME ON! I know most of this isn't on Pin Stack, but if you put on your website that you enforce mask wearing and social distancing by all guests, then please do that. Filling every lane and not having dividers between all booths is NOT precautionary. The fact I was the only person consistently wearing my mask in an enclosed room of 30+ people is ridiculous . In normal times, seems like it would be a really awesome experience, but given we are in the middle of a pandemic I will not be returning here any time soon. We also had several issues with our bowling lanes and had to move and got 10 minutes cut off because the pins were broken, management was extremely nice and came over and gave us game room credit, which I did not use because I left immediately after our time was up. read more
