I've been invited to Pinot's Palette a few times before for paint nights, but last night was my first time initiating a visit on my own -- and it did not disappoint! My friend and I signed up in the afternoon for a 7pm class, and when we arrived about 15 minutes early, everything was already perfectly set up with our names. So cute and so organized! We got settled in and class started right on time. It's such a fun experience, no matter who you go with. Even if you're not artsy at all, you can absolutely do this and have a blast. Late post: I booked a paint and sip experience with my mom and family. I arrived on time, but they arrived a few minutes late. Once the class started, I had to step away from my own painting to help guide them through the first few steps, which felt a bit off. The instructor moved through the class a bit too quickly at times, and I found myself trying to catch up. As someone who doesn't paint, I would've preferred a slower pace. I'm giving this two stars for the amazing staff and seemingly sweet instructor, but deducting for the owner. I reached out privately to the staff, who responded immediately, informing me they sent my complaint to the owner who would followup- it's been over a month though, so I reserve the right to now give me experience with this location. Experience: My friend and I were going through a lot in 2025 and I thought a paint night for us would be a great solution to pick up our spirits, little did I know choosing Pinos Palette was a terrible decision... When I arrived, the instructor and everyone there seems super sweet and it seemed like it was gonna be a fantastic night. Unfortunately, my friend (who also suffers from anxiety) was rushing through traffic to make the tough call time in Pasadena. She arrived just as the class was starting, and we were excited to get together and start painting, unfortunately in her rush, she forgot her drivers license. The door person to check people in pressured her to find her ID, which she couldn't, we asked if we could just paint we weren't even planning on drinking that night, but the guy refused and instead gave us a little slip of paper telling us to text this number and ask for a reschedule. I knew at the time that we should've just painted because it was gonna be near impossible to go back and find another time during the week, As again it's Pasadena in traffic is insane. Why is it a 7 PM class? But I shook it off and texted for a reschedule for my friend, but again she suffers for anxiety and has spontaneous fits that make it hard for her at times. And unfortunately, she had anxiety attack right before our reschedule time so we were a few minutes late and saw them painting inside. We didn't want to disturb the class so I texted the owner again to please reschedule, And what does he do? He texts back with a stern "this is your last chance". You're the business owner and that's your attitude? How about a refund upfront because such energy is dark and a pain to deal with- When I'm going through all this just to try and make my friend happy. So we missed our chance because they don't offer refunds, but you know what good! Because after that text and the owner's attitude, screw going to this place. Wine and paint night for Galentines is the best. This is the second time we decided to have Pinot's Palette host us for our girls night. The instructors are knowledgeable, helpful, and the vibes are perfect. There's a mini snack bar, no Chacuterie, and an assortment of wine, hard cider and more should you be interested. Everyone is so friendly and it's such an ideal spot for girls night, artists, and dates. There's metered street parking, but if you come for the 7-9p classes, it's only an hour parking because after 8p it's free. There's an underground parking garage I didn't see, but I know it exists. We came in on a Tuesday and the parking situation was easy, consider coming earlier to find parking if you decide to partake during a weekend, and having dinner prior should you decide to sip and paint. read more

I came here for a company team-bonding activity and my experience here was great, but after speaking with my boss about the logistics, I have to rate this spot a little lower. My boss wanted to a book a painting session here with the jigsaw painting. My boss mentioned he contacted the owner a couple times, but the owner wasn't clear. The owner mentioned he couldn't do the jigsaw painting for our group, but gave in last minute. This was stressful for my boss logistics-wise. Other than the reservation issues, my experience here was good! We had an instructor guiding us throughout the whole experience and she was fun and nice! I liked the setup where she painted alongside of us and her painting was recorded on the monitor which was easy for our group to follow. We did a jigsaw puzzle painting which was really cool since it was a bunch of mini canvases coming together to create a larger painting. It required team work which was perfect for our team bonding activity. The brushes and paint were easy to use and they gave us aprons so we wouldn't get our clothes dirty. There was also a bar inside, so I enjoyed sipping on the sweet moscato while painting. The paintings needed a day to dry and they were available for pickup the following day. I asked the instructor and they also gave us the test painting (the one she was working on) for free. Overall, a good experience here but I would be weary of the booking logistics. read more

We had a birthday event to celebrate so we booked here for a group of 7. Check in was easy and simple. You can purchase drinks and snacks during the course as well! You do not need to know how to paint at all, as the instructors guide you step by step for the entire process! Once you check in everything is ready for you and they provide all supplies and aprons. Had such a fun time at this painting class! The instructor was super interactive and gave really clear, step-by-step instructions that made it easy to follow along -- even for beginners. This was a pretty fun experience! I'm not much of a painter so my painting came out pretty funny but they really do teach you some good skills and techniques. The bar had a nice setup and pretty reasonable prices, I got a Diet Coke for like $2. Seats were assigned but we were able to sit all together with a group of 6 by registering online and asking them to put us together. The instructor was friendly and nice, which was a plus. However, the music was ridiculously loud--like being in an 80s disco club--and the instructor's microphone was turned up too high as well. There were only about 10 people in the class, so I'm not sure why the background music was necessary at such a high volume. Several couples (or people on dates) were literally yelling to each other just to be heard over the noise, which made the whole atmosphere chaotic and hard to relax in. Another issue was the part where we had to use brushes to splash paint onto the canvas. I wish the setup had kept people farther apart or avoided that technique altogether--especially since the paint doesn't come out of clothing easily. I ended up getting splattered, and it was messy in a way that felt unnecessary. I attended a $29 class (it usually costs $40), but honestly, $25 would feel more fair, especially considering you also at least buy one or two drink. Overall, it was an okay experience thanks to the helpful instructor, but the excessive noise and messy splashing really detracted from what could have been a fun night out. read more

I took my first class at Pinot's Palette with a friend recently and my experience could have been better. Once I arrived I was checked in and after I was checked in and about to put my belongings away, the instructor Mabel stopped me and asked to see my confirmation number that I received when registering for the class. I did not see her stop and ask anyone else for their confirmation number. Then once the class began she came by and helped me touch up my painting. She said that I need to sit back and see the big picture, as she pulled both of my shoulders back and patted both of them really hard as she walked away, which did hurt. Later, I needed some help, so I called her over and when she saw my painting she hit my right shoulder, reprimanded me by saying "No!" "That's not how you do it." As she took my painting brush and touched up my painting. I did not see her touching anyone else and felt uncomfortable. Sometime later while making her rounds she approached me and asked "what happened to the tops of your trees? Did someone chop them off?" I found this offensive because not only was it my first class but I was already trying my best to make my painting look just like hers. I did not see Mabel touching any one else and I did feel like I was being picked on by her for some reason. This was my first class at Pinots Palette, but I'm not planning on returning. They have 4 hours parking with validation and I really appreciate that because it's so hard to find parking and you really need time to paint. A friend of mine asked myself and another fried if we wanted to join her at a sip n' paint event. Being that I have ZERO artistic skills I was a bit hesitant to say, "Yes." I can't even draw a stick figure, so how in the heck am I going to paint a picture! Eventually, I convinced myself that it was a good excuse to spend time with my gal pals since I hadn't seen them in a few months, and it was also an opportunity to review something new. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and we were escorted to our seats where there was a blank canvas and a paper plate with the paint colors that we needed to complete our masterpiece. She had such great energy and enthusiasm. Plus, the music was great too! Following her instructions was easy, and I found painting to be very relaxing. The two hours flew by. Even though my painting didn't quite look the original I was pleased that it didn't look like a blob of colors on a canvas. LOL! My girlfriends are both artistic and theirs came out much better. Despite not being good at it, the music, the drinks, the vibe was great! You must make reservations as it's assigned seating. There was so much energy in the room, we even ran into overtime past the scheduled end time because there was so much going on! Came here a while back and it was AMAZING. Perfect spot to hang with your artsy friends, for a chill date night, or just to unwind + learn to paint. Arrive a few minutes early and order a drink (or two or three??) to sip as you paint! We ordered rosé and wine (+ found out the owner is the bartender how cool is that?!). You can absolutely show up with NO ART SKILLS or never seen a paint brush before and the artist presenter peoples will patiently guide you with simple baby steps to create a masterpiece. Most of all its a really fun experience because you're gonna be like tipsy + laughing + playing with paint + cracking jokes. Whenever I walk by Pinot's Palette, it looks like the people inside are having a blast, so I'd been wanting to try it for myself for some time. My friend and I joined a Tuesday night, 2-hour class for $29/person. My friend hasn't painted much, so I specifically chose a date when the artwork looked simpler. The paint, brushes, canvas, water cup, etc. are all prepared before you arrive. The instructor painted step-by-step and provided just enough time in between steps, so it was very beginner-friendly. There was a small crowd on Tuesday but no less vibrant. Half way through the class, the instructor guided us through drinking games, and there was a painting giveaway, too.
