Our son is naturally quiet and shy, but Mrs. Billy has helped him build confidence by encouraging him to express his own ideas and interests in his artwork and we can't thank her enough for how that has helped him come out of his shell in the classroom and beyond! Mrs. Billy also takes the time after class to update us and offer insights and constructive feedback on his creative growth. Based on our experience, I'd advise parents to take negative reviews with a grain of salt. All the teachers and staff here are genuinely so nice and unlike programs that focus mainly on copying pictures, Art/Work/Place balances technical skill building with creativity, imagination, and play. As someone who works as a designer in the gaming industry and has an art background, I can honestly say they're teaching kids the right way to learn art. Our son is already excited to be back in the fall!

Gradually my son would come home sad and upset. At first, I brushed off his complaints as maybe he just had a random rough day. Today, I picked up my son and Ms. Billy complained about his projects and all kinds of stuff right in front of my son. My son came to the car crying feeling terrible about his artwork. I asked him several questions about what happened as I didn't want to make any rash judgements about the teacher. He explained that he felt that Ms. Billie was being mean to him and that he was really struggling with clay (it's a new skill for him). I asked if she helps him with his clay a little extra since he's obviously struggling more than the rest of the more experienced students (I'd think she'd spend a little extra time with him). He said no - she was drinking tea and when she came back he had made a snail project where its tongue broke off and couldn't put it back on. He said he destroyed it and my son said she made another mean comment to him: "ohh so you're breaking stuff, instead of making stuff". He was struggling to put on the tongue, which you didn't help him with. Ms. Billy told me it was Gary the snail which didn't go with the CA theme they're working on. Ok. My question is: how is one of your struggling students able to make an entire snail project without you noticing until he's that far along with it? Then, the tongue falls ogf of it, you make a comment to him about it being wrong, he destroys it, you make another comment to him about him about breaking things instead of making things. Ok. If she's going to drink tea instead of helping struggling students then she shouldn't be surprised about them struggling. He said she was helping the other students - not him so much. He also said he got up to grab a toothpick, and she said to him "you're disrupting the entire class" and he was embarrassed that all the kids stared at him. He wasn't being defiant but she keeps treating him as if he is. My son said he was really surprised at how mean Ms. Billy was treating him - he genuinely didn't know he was doing anything wrong, She did sound agitated when she was complaining to me about my son. I know my son - he's not a bad kid and he's super kind. I'm not just saying that because he's my son. He truly is. I'm the type of person that takes criticism well and I'm happy to help correct behavior when necessary. In this case, I really feel that Ms. Billy is not spending enough time with struggling students - in my sons case not understanding instructions according to her. I didn't appreciate her putting my son down in front of both my husband and I. Ms. Billy made it sound as if my son was being defiant - I can assure you my son is not defiant - he genuinely is just having a hard time with the project! He's asking for help from his teacher in his own 8 year old way. He just turned 8 by the way. Mrs. Elizabeth in the front is amazing on the other hand! Very helpful and kind lady.

The spot looks a little small, but they have private back rooms to work on your rugs. One of the hardest parts for us was having a design ready! That maybe took an hour lol I would come with multiple designs in mind and to make sure the color blocking is larger, especially for your first time. After we chose our design, we got a lesson on how to use the tufting guns and especially the safety of how to hold them because the needle is quite sharp. We were then set up with our rugs, and got underway. You trace your design with markers first with a projection. When you start tufting, the key is to have a steady hand, try as best to evenly space your rug lines as you go and keep a good pace, and only doing one color at a time. After this they will show you how to save down your rug and then will add the backing for you because the glue/iron is very hot. This spot was conveniently located to grab drinks and snacks at nearby businesses. Overall a really fn experience and Iove seeing my new rug everyday!

Staff said it's best if you come after 1:30pm on weekdays to ensure their store being open. Weekends are pretty much just open. I come here to check out what Pop Mart items they have in stock. They also carry limited Labubu clothing. They have select figurines on display for trading at the front where you pay. This is great if you happened to open duplicates from Pop Mart. Staff said they don't refill display boxes to avoid customers getting duplicates unlike Pop Mart stores themselves. Their requirements for trading is that you may not trade a figurine/item if display already has the same item. They don't want duplicates in their trading case. You must bring the card that came in the box with it and trade has to be from the same series. Or if you see something on display you actually like but still want to try your luck like myself. Purchase a blind box and hope you get one you like, if not trade it with the display if there aren't any duplicates! You may also purchase display items (same price as blind box). Their prices are same as Pop Mart.

Before the class starts, the instructor gives a clear demo, and throughout the session, there are screens showing techniques step-by-step, so kids can comfortably follow along and adapt at their own pace. Nothing feels difficult or intimidating. The instructor quietly walks around, making sure each child has what they need and offering support without interrupting their creative flow. They're attentive, calm, and truly professional. The pricing is a bit on the higher side, but totally worth it for the quality of instruction and support. Check for promotions or deals. Overall, it's a relaxed, well-organized space where kids can enjoy creating freely and parents can feel at ease. We had such a great experience and would definitely come back

The inventory is incredible--eclectic, unique, and full of beautiful beads, materials, and everything you could possibly need for jewelry-making. Whether you're starting from scratch or looking for something specific, they have it all--beads, string, findings, and so many inspiring options you won't see just anywhere. What really sets this shop apart, though, is Christina. She is truly the heart of the place. She's warm, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and just an all-around joy to be around. She can help you design something custom, guide you through making it yourself, or even create it for you. And if you need repairs, she's amazing at that too. They also offer classes, which is such a great touch--I took one on making bracelets and it was such a fun experience. What a cool thing to be able to do locally. Honestly, I never thought I'd say this, but I actually look forward to needing repairs--because it means I get to come back and see Christina. She makes every visit feel personal and fun, and you always leave in a better mood than when you walked in. Such a wonderful shop with a truly special owner. Highly recommend checking it out.

During my first visit, I wasn't greeted but I went out of my way to build rapport with one of the owners, I assume, who did eventually open up. There was a kid rollerblading in the shop, extremely anxiety-inducing and unprofessional. My second visit was more positive. A younger lady greeted me at the front mentioning to let her know if I needed any help and the kids were more tamed.
