Unlike other schools that outlined a picture of the head of a tiger and then told our son to "color here with red, color there with orange...," and then made her rounds, the teacher here asked him what he wanted to draw and then taught him how to actually draw the figure step by step, without drawing it for him. He also learned to balance the drawing, ie the tail of the tiger should not be as big as it's body, the cloud should not be too big, etc. I liked that they also incorporate different medium into a picture. He ended his 1-hour class with 2 drawings. Prices are reasonable, although they don't offer trial class for free. Location is very convenient as it's next to Sushi in the Box and behind Cloverleaf.

When I was enrolled, it was implied that a good art portfolio is key to a good University application. However, it is hard to get anywhere with art without passion. Second, the environment isn't good. Students are expected to draw in a room without even windows. There is a passionless attitude among students because of how this place takes advantage of Chinese parent's dreams of sending their kids to ivy universities. Also, this place did not do much to help any of their students enroll in local art competitions while I was there. If you happen to think about enrolling your kid since they are in fact passionate about art, there is a lot better places that would better support their passion in a fun and lively manner. This place is more of a daycare with art supplies.

The nicest I've ever seen them do. I'm not sure how much help they got but they said that they did it themselves with some guidance I'm sure.
