It's been a LONG time since I've written a review on Yelp. But after receiving various pool services from pinnacle over the last several years, I dusted off the review fingers and here we are [[HIGHLIGHT]]Simply put, this company is EXCELLENT. From the responsiveness of Christina, to the timely, quality, reasonable services of their Repair staff[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Over the last couple years they repaired my heater when 4 other companies tried to upsell insisting the heater needed replacement they installed 2 pool lights that 2 other companies told me I bought the wrong lights and they couldn't be used And the latest repair, I thought my water pump was toast. Spoke briefly to the repair manager Jim and he advised it's probably just a capacitor that needs to be replaced and not the pump. Sure enough, he WAS RIGHT. I guarantee you most companies would take the easy way out and upsell a new pump for what I'm sure would've meant spending 5-10 times what I wound up paying. These guys are the REAL DEAL I wish they did home repairs too - it's so dang hard to find reasonably priced, responsive and honest repair people these days. The fact that you can't even keep up with your customers proves my point , I own a house in Nevada but with your nasty attitude I can see why you responded that way. The person probably YOU installed the pump NOT PROPERLY that it broke and had to get another pump which I requested not to work with you again. My insurance would tell me to contact you,I would get yelled at very rude and unprofessional the WORST company I've ever worked it. Get your facts and info together before getting emotional and angry. Maybe get anger management classes before getting into business with normal people. This is in regards to a pool plaster project. Let me start by saying that the workmanship and workman did an excellent job, my issue is with Cristina. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the beginning Cristina was calling all plaster Quartz, so I assumed I was supposed to choose from the Quartzscape collection. Then in an email I was told by Cristina that "she had been spoken to" about calling all plaster Quartz and that I would need to choose from the ColorScapes collection to stay within my budget. So I chose Caribbean Blue[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Rough 3 weeks went by with no discussion about the plaster. Then the plaster was installed and is most definitely wasn't Caribbean Blue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I emailed Cristina and got a load of BS from her. In the first paragraph she makes contradictory statements. First she tries to tell me about how collars will look different from sample, website and in real life. Only to finish that same paragraph by saying that I was supposed to of chosen from the "estes" color palette in order to stay within my budget so "SHE" had "someone else" pick a plaster that was closest to Caribbean Blue in the estes color palette and had that installed in my pool without my permission or knowledge[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was never told to look at the estes color palette and I can't find the estes color palette on the plaster website I was told to reference.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now let me address the "freebies" Cristina was upset I didn't mention in a previous review on the Pinnacle pools website. The decorative rings around the lights. The person who did the original bid should of checked the size when he was here in the first place. The electrical junction box. It was broken by your employees, it also wasn't replaced it was modified. The pop ups. Let me teach you something about pool building. They remove the pop ups when they demo the pool, so after they plaster the pool they put them back in. Replaced my pump housing for my home warranty. Now my pump makes an awful sound and leaks water. I asked them several times to come back and look at it but they absolutely refuse. I didn't buy their motor for an additional charge so they have no interest in me or my pump. My motor worked perfectly fine before they installed the new housing. The tech that installed the housing even told me to call if it leaked or made any odd sounds. Apparently he didn't get the memo from the owner that I didn't buy the new motor so screw any follow up. This company was given to me by my home warranty insurance company to fix my spa. They came and told me I needed a new spa pack and it would cost me 350 out of pocket. I waited weeks for the unit. They came to install it but did not have the correct parts. Again another week of waiting for parts to be ordered Once the parts arrived they came and installed the new unit. When they were finished I was told to fill the spa and let them know if it worked. Chris should have waited to check it . I asked for owners manual on how to work new unit. They did not have one and said it would be easy! After filling the spa nothing works now. What started as just a heater problem has now turned into nothing working. Jim came out to check what was going on but could not get it to prime or work. He told me "you need to hire a spa repairman " and gave me two people to call. If they were not capable of fixing the spa why did they take the job? 350.00 for them to make my spa worse. Please try a different company . Update I hired Rick the Spa Doctor who found and fixed the problem within minutes. Pinnacle Pools had wired the unit wrong when they installed it. Another 125.00 and it working great now. I see there are many 1 star reviews on this company. I usually research companies before hiring them for work on my home however, this company was sent by my home warranty. The pool auto fill was leaking. When doing the repair, this company's technicians cracked the pipe coming out of my house. Now there is a leak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I received a text message and picture of the crack from the company which stated I needed a plumber to fix that because they are not plumbers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This should be the responsibility of Pinnacle pools, not my home warranty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have been dealing with this for a month now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The next step will be a lawsuit where Pinnacle pools will not only be responsible for the broken pipe repair but also any fees from the court, lawyer, and water company. I have received a warning of the "wasted water" and possible $5000 fine if not corrected. I have been more than patient, waiting for this to be resolved in a professional manner. I am done waiting. If your home warranty wants to send this company for a repair, BEWARE! I will mention, the technicians were very nice. 6 months later...Jim decides to reply with a "I thought everything was fine response..." No, Jim - it's not fine. But, ultimately the warranty company did fix everything through another pool company with a brand new pump b/c the one you installed was not the correct piece of equipment. It was done with a small deductible which I was HAPPY to pay for to get my pool running correctly. Still DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS POOL COMPANY - terrible service - terrible work. read more

We have had Pinnacle Pools a couple time for work on our pool. Very honest, caring , responsible company. There workers are great.

CHW (Choice Home Warranty) sent Jim (owner/manager) to check my 15+ year old Pentair pool pump which was making loud and grinding sounds, not priming up and when fully primed up, there were leaks everywhere. I intentionally did not run the pump on the day Jim was scheduled to show up. I wanted him to hear and see the problem. Well, he found out right away. Everything was wrong pretty much, including the piping/plumbing system. He was very thorough, knowledgeable and very professional. He laid out all the options, price estimates and ways to streamline the plumbing system and to improve and better the pump's overall operations and efficiency. I decided to just replace the damn old pump with a new energy efficient and much better Pentail pump. With his ingenuity, he ended up saving me money with the way they re-plumb all the pipes including the rooftop solar pool heater's pipes. His crew showed up and configured what needed to be done and they were finished before noon. Am impressed with the way the new system is set up (including the re-plumbing). Suffice to say, am very impressed and happy with their work. I do my own pool maintenance but I told him he'd be my pool "run-to-guy" from that day on should I have any pool/pump issues. I bought a home here in Henderson, NV with a pool in November 2019 and didn't know much to begin with on maintaining one. I had a home warranty when I bought my house and discovered that the heater for the pool was out. My warranty company sent out Jim at Pinnacle Pools to inspect and fix the problem. I got a new heating unit and some tips on care and maintenance. Just recently (June 2020), I had the pressure gauge on my filter break and a light out in my jacuzzi. I called Jim at Pinnacle Pools directly and he came over and fixed both problems. Nothing but great service with them and I would highly recommend this company for any problems with your pool or service needs. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced service. Jim showed up at our house and as I showed him the clock that was not working on our pool timer, he asked me for $75 that was the co-pay. I told him when the work was finished we will give him a check that we will receive our invoice at that time. He stated that he does not work that way that he wants his money first before he even starts on the job. Very unprofessional with an attitude so I kicked him off my property and now he is calling and harassing my wife. Will not use this company again and I will inform my home warranty that they said nothing but bad stuff about old republic home warranty and that I requested never to use that company again. read more

Just be aware if you have a home warranty who you are dealing with. If a company is sent out they are not there to help you. multiple diagnosis were given for my pool pump failure for a pump that was 24 years old. one of which was "could not exclude water damage." That was the buzz word for the warranty company not to pay for the pump. there was not a seal broken, they took pictures and when I called and spoke with Tim he agreed it was most likely end of life as the pump I had was poor quality and was surprised that I got that many years from the pump. I asked him to please change the diagnosis as we both knew it was not water and he said he would. He did change the diagnosis carefully worded only to leave in the buzz word could not exclude water damage and I got stuck paying $1600 for a new pump that should have been covered. I did not use them obviously to replace the pump. I still have the pump to prove they were wrong even though they don't really caree. Just be aware of any service company that comes out, most are in business with these warranty companies to get business once they are at your home and protect themselves to keep contracts. I have not had one thing covered in the last 2 years. read more

Pinnacle Peak pool service is top notch. Jim is very professional and his team is excellent. They drained our pool, bead blasted the tile to get the white scale off, caulked the tile grout around the inside tile edge due to cracking and installed a new salt system. Great job and our pool looks new again. Very happy with the service, prompt responses, knowledge and professionalism. We are now using Pinnacle Pool for our monthly pool service. read more

Jim was dispatched to us by our home warranty company, he was very honest and helpful in diagnosing our problem and the warranty company's likely response to it. He was able to get us a quote for the full fix quickly, worked with us (within reason) on pricing, and came out to perform the agreed upon service within the same week to try to save a pool party we had planned for the weekend. We had issues with our new pool heater from factory, not his fault at all but he did his best to try to get it fixed for us before the party--it didn't work unfortunately, but the warranty folks came out to our property for us the following Monday and sure enough, the issue was a bad wire from factory, just as Jim suspected. I reported my filter leak to my warranty company, they contracted this company for service. Looking at all reviews, same thing demanded copay thru zelle ?!?! Which made me call warranty company to make sure this was a legit company. Very suspicious of a company demanding payment before they even come, let alone do work. But after getting an appt which they told me when they could come, I work, so had special arrangement to have a relative be there but my gate called my phone instead but like I said I was at work. So my phone was lock up , and they left. So I found out after coming home ,-took few days to reschedule, but took day off of work to be here.-Called my gate to give permission for them to come in,-guard said he'll call,-guard misunderstood and whe guard called ringer was off,-but waiting all morning for him, I looked at phone and saw missed call from gate only 5 mins was that missed call. I called repair guy cell phone/company phone that minute to get voice mail,-so I text to tell him please come back (he was only around corner,) to get a reply minute later-"no he's gone and ain't coming back,". Before the repair left, He didn't even text or call me to say he was leaving, But who ever was text back to not coming he said the repair guy did call me -no he didn't , which was a lie. I sent him a screen shot from my phone history. The guy wouldn't even reply back. I think a few yrs ago I had those same problem with his unprofessional company. Wow maybe with more people telling truth about this company. They will be dropped from warranty company giving them business. Sound to me they need to get some customer service skills before precessing any more buisness. Horrible now warranty is warned about this company. Sad you keep doing this to people. Jim with Pinnacle Pools came to my residence to service my pool pump. There had been a noise complaint and a violation from the city. Jim didn't just replace the pump or do any unnecessary work. He was honest and ethical and informed me that my pump really wasn't that loud. Instead of charging me for any additional parts, he simply reprogrammed the system to run on different hours. He gave me a very knowledgeable assessment. Not only did he call me and explain everything, but he was kind enough to write me an explanation of his assessment that I was able to provide to the code enforcement officer. He got it to me in just about an hour after I requested it. I was so impressed with Jim's knowledge and professionalism. I will definitely use him in the future. read more

My insurance company used Pinnacle Pools Tech to look at my pool equipment. The tech told me that the motor had a short and there was no way to tell what caused the short. My insurance claim was denied. They (Choice Home Warranty) said they spoke with Pinnacle Pools and he said yes it was water damage there is a huge hole in the roof (which there is not) of the shelter I have my pool equipment in. Also said there has been sever thunderstorms in Las Vegas for 2 weeks... No there hasn't been. So this company told me one thing and the insurance company another. BEWARE! read more

If I could give 0 Star I would, but it's not an option. My moms service guy told her she needed a new pump & motor, but he could try and save the pump by putting a new seal on it. Turns out he put the seal on backwards causing water to get inside the motor, which blew the new motor he just installed. Within 1 week my new motor was broken because of his error. Then he told her she needed a new pump! Her home warranty already gave him $300 for a new motor so he tried to tell me her she needed to give him $200 for the labor. Home warranty's pay the labor to the contractors, not homeowners! I called my pool company and they told me how claims work and I found out that there was $320 in rebates from the power company & the pump, that this guy was never going to tell us about. Instead he wanted her to pay him $200 out if pocket!! The man yelled at her over the phone, spoke down to her and she told him she was as not going to use him. Then he called her back to yell at her some more. He was rude, unprofessional and was trying to get side money from her for his mistake. Don't ever use this company!!! read more

I called my home warranty service (CHW) to have my pool pump looked at because it had stopped working. CHW assigned the job to Pinnacle Pool Service. Unfortunately, per CHW, the soonest I could get someone out to look at my pool was a week out. I called Pinnacle Pool and spoke with Jim who agreed to come out on the same day that I had made the service call. Jim was at my residence within an hour and was able to diagnose/repair the problem.
